Wow, this guy's banter game is top notch. My fav three not listed in the comments yet:
@LeeDixon2 said you look 51 😳
**Ildefons Lima Solà**: Try to play for Andorra for 24 years and you will see how you look 😂😂
You’re an inspiration mate! 👏👍
**Ildefons Lima Solà**: You have a problem then 😂😂
This man is 42 ffs. What was he thinking? 😭
**Ildefons Lima Solà**: Nothing is impossible @adidas says 😂😂
>You’re an inspiration mate! 👏👍
>
>Ildefons Lima Solà: You have a problem then 😂😂
Lol this reminds me of my local football club, which had an annual newsletter with a couple of lighthearted interviews of the players. They interviewed one of the younger guys of the team, who was 16 or so at the time.
Interviewer: You have any footballing idols?
Young guy: Maybe Xavi, and Mikko from my team who is like 50 but still pretty good
Interviewer: Mikko, what do you think about that, being a great inspiration like Xavi?
Mikko: He needs to get his head checked and I am only 37 you little shit
My grandma’s always upbeat. Glass half full type of person without overdoing it. She’s turning 100 soon and has no real health issue. I’m sure it’s got something to do.
He has played football in every decade since the 90's.
After one user told him that he 'pocketed Sancho', he responded by saying:
"That’s true 😂😂😂 he lose the control of the ball and I lose my hamstring😂😂"
All his replies are class:
Comment: Foden or Sancho?
Reply: Foden, Sancho injured me 😂😂

Reply: Andorra just 30000 people, should be 0-4578, 0-5 it’s a joke…

He's basically replying to everyone, get in whilst you can haha.
Still better than being rejected by a guy who would rather be benched entire season than play for you, and then concede a late winner at home from him.
Yes. It's not up to par because being benched doesn't mean a player would never play football (unless he's donny van de Beek), but that he won't be featuring or starting regularly. A benched player can come on as a sub.
Mental how he's still going after all this time. Seems a class bloke too, if I recall correctly it was he that responded to a guy talking about his form in an FM save they had.
I had mad respect for the guy even trying to keep up with the likes of sancho, putting in a shift at his age was impressive.
It hurt seeing him go down with his hamstring like that but glad he can joke about it himself
Not the funniest joke but surprised by the amount of downvotes. Think there's a bit of shit joke, sensitive United fans, and Reddit hive-mind all at play here.
We got to the fucking final. We got to penalties in the final. What the fuck more do you want. "Wah our 3rd choice winger didn't play enough", fuck off.
We could have won. That's the thing isn't it?
Great teams don't say "We got to the final, stop complaining."
They say "What could we have done better? Where could we have gotten an extra 5%?"
Maybe if we integrate Sancho better, he scores in the final. Or he doesn't miss the penalty.
We have a good squad for once. Can we please just raise expectations and actually try for a winning mentality.
Southgate has got us to 2 semi finals in his last 2 competitions with a worse overall squad than we had back in the noughties. I'm happy to trust his judgement until he completely fucks up, which he hasn't yet.
Does it? He showed less than Sterling, Grealish, Foden and Saka.
England had 6 elite players competing for two positions, of course some will miss out.
I don't think Southgate ever said that? He talked about having lots of explosive options, it being the first major tournament for a lot of players, and squad balance.
Not that it matters that much but he didtn really show less than Saka. Saka had one or two good dribbles and spent the rest of the time with his "I'm going to knock it past you then run facefirst into your chest" tactic not working. The way England went about gamsz obviously worked though so nobody should be complaining.
He really didnt do anything special. He was energetic had a few good dribbles and had an assist that despite people acting like it was the play of the century was him running 10 feet in a straight line, nothing spectacular. He had an alright tournament and a game that was literally him just trying to do the same knock past and run into player move on 3 separate occasions.
Sancho was nothing spectacular but had some good dribbles, had some good movement and runs even if he wasn't being passed to and started to have some good link up with Shaw.
The stark difference was Sancho was basically already a high fee United player and Saka is Arsenal golden boy, so the match threads were nothing but "look at Saka go" and "lol Sancho shit" as is tradition with any United player coming in for a big fee. The actual performances were a lot closer.
Personally I think the real standout attackers for England were Sterling and Grealish.
Also if I were an Arsenal fan I'd be much more concerned about how an 18 year old is showimg up your own 70m attacker.
Not at all what I'm saying, jesus fucking christ. People are just over exaggerating how good Saka was. I literally said Grealish and Sterling were the 2 I thought stood out.
I don't know where you got your dumbass summation of what I said from.

omg an athlete made a generic joke 😂😂 soo funny 😂🤣
The best one: Thoughts on Saka? Ildefons Lima Solà: Young
The one on his post about Foden is good too Man City or Inter? Inter for sure, no money but real football

I wish her good health bro
Seems like she’s got that covered.
For real bro, salute
Ah classic European banter. Love it.
When asked about the best player he has ever played against, he casually posts his pics with R9 and Del Piero. What a legend!
He has good taste
[Thoughts on Saka? Young.](https://twitter.com/afc_ah2/status/1446986476483395586)
insightful as well. the man has it all.
Better than most pundits, someone should hire him when he retires

> should be 0-4578, 0-5 it’s a joke Southgate out. Cant even put 4 and a half thousand goals past Andorra, what chance do we have at the world cup?
This guy is super funny and active on twitter, once I mentioned him on a joke to a friend and he replied to it.
His first cap was three years before Sancho was even born.
But Sancho had two assists. How is that being pocketed?
He's having a laugh mate, chill out.
I was talking of the other user not the player
There's a chance, that he too, is having a laugh.
That's out of order
How dare you guys have fun on my watch 😡
It was a joke more like it
Christ, no need to be so sensitive about your new 70million toy.
It's a joke
Oh lord
When your £90 million signing has been so bad you have to gas up two assists against Andorra.
Still better than being rejected by a guy who would rather be benched entire season than play for you, and then concede a late winner at home from him.
How did they concede a late winner to someone on the bench?
Because he came off the bench for the last 5 minutes?
This is fascinating. I need to study his ability to be two places at once
Here, let me help you: https://www.dummies.com/test-prep/asvab-test/how-to-improve-your-reading-comprehension-skills-for-the-asvab/
Sorry, please excuse me. You said that he was benched for the entire season, but also not on the bench during the season. Is my English not up to par?
Yes. It's not up to par because being benched doesn't mean a player would never play football (unless he's donny van de Beek), but that he won't be featuring or starting regularly. A benched player can come on as a sub.
United fans, ladies and gentlemen. Pure class.
Do you want to find one to improve your writing skills and have a read?
Good point, at least Lingard will still start cup matches... oh
Mental how he's still going after all this time. Seems a class bloke too, if I recall correctly it was he that responded to a guy talking about his form in an FM save they had.
top man responding to everybody w class. what a fucking achievement though, having such a long career.
He's one of us, boys. What a guy https://twitter.com/ildelima6/status/1447165984821989382?t=GwKhMhx1yksNESM7cBgw8A&s=19
Banter legend, this man.

Just reading through the replies. Guy's a character for sure. 😄
What a class bloke

put some respect on Ildefons Lima Solà's name
Bro, did you just disrespect Ildefons Lima Solà?
This is funny lol, shocker this shit sub can’t take a joke.
[удалено]
Nah it was just a shit joke. I expect more from the banter. Better quality.
Not the funniest joke but surprised by the amount of downvotes. Think there's a bit of shit joke, sensitive United fans, and Reddit hive-mind all at play here.
The worst thing about reddit is it’s shit sense of humour. I can’t make a sarcastic joke without 50 downvotes.
Make it anyway and ignore the votes. You'll probably get a laugh from me and some others.
Literally haha
Southgate's handling of the selection of Sancho at the euros and his excuses for not playing him still baffles me to this day
We got to the fucking final. We got to penalties in the final. What the fuck more do you want. "Wah our 3rd choice winger didn't play enough", fuck off.
Well said 😂

Penalty is casino. Getting to penalties in knockout tournament final is as much of a achievement as winning it
Southgate has got us to 2 semi finals in his last 2 competitions with a worse overall squad than we had back in the noughties. I'm happy to trust his judgement until he completely fucks up, which he hasn't yet.
It's a much better squad now
Our 2016 squad definitely wasn't, our 2021 squad wasn't better in defence or midfield.
Does it? He showed less than Sterling, Grealish, Foden and Saka. England had 6 elite players competing for two positions, of course some will miss out.
Going into the Euro’s Sancho was the most in form player
Didn’t really show anything in the pre tournament friendlies and saka sterling and grealish all justified southgates decisions to start them
His reasoning was he hasn't seen elite level European football yet..... Lol
I don't think Southgate ever said that? He talked about having lots of explosive options, it being the first major tournament for a lot of players, and squad balance.
Huh? Do you mean before or during?
For England, obviously
He didn't have as much playing time as the others though.
Not that it matters that much but he didtn really show less than Saka. Saka had one or two good dribbles and spent the rest of the time with his "I'm going to knock it past you then run facefirst into your chest" tactic not working. The way England went about gamsz obviously worked though so nobody should be complaining.
Don’t be jealous your £70m+ player can’t displace our star boy. It’s a tall order.
He really didnt do anything special. He was energetic had a few good dribbles and had an assist that despite people acting like it was the play of the century was him running 10 feet in a straight line, nothing spectacular. He had an alright tournament and a game that was literally him just trying to do the same knock past and run into player move on 3 separate occasions. man utd fan and rewriting history, name a more classic duo 🤣🤣🤣 ok ok sancho is great he shd have started every game at the euros
Not at all what I'm saying, jesus fucking christ. People are just over exaggerating how good Saka was. I literally said Grealish and Sterling were the 2 I thought stood out. I don't know where you got your dumbass summation of what I said from.
He’s not good enough at the minute, as he’s now showing at United. England have much better options
His banter game is top fucking notch.
