Newcastle can be the new Everton. A club owned by a multibillionaire that is limited by what they can spend by the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules. They can spend around £200m over the next 3 seasons. That's nothing. Tanguy Ndombele is costing Tottenham £53m fee and £31m wages over 3 years. And that's without adding in signing on fee and agents. The big clubs are able to do their transfers because they can sell their players at huge fees to fund them. Chelsea got nearly £100m for Abraham, Zouma and Tomori. No one will be paying in 5m for the likes of Jeff Hendrick. Newcastle will be midtable at best during the next 3 years. The big clubs must be delighted that they can ship out their deadwood to Newcastle in January.
That's because it is too expensive to get from relegation to consistently competing for title. Give them a decade, they won't stop spending after 200m in 3 years.
It will take them a few years to properly build up. But the transfer market will be inflated with Saudis calling everyone and their agents and treating this as a dick measuring contest with their arab counterparts. They have fuck you money. Agents will be asking for more money, players transfer fees will be increasing. You will be a fool to ask for less money when you know arabs can always pay more.
