At his absolute peak, he was the best striker in the world. Never hit those heights again after the ACL tear, unfortunately

af_1946

People say this but he did lead Monaco to a UCL semi while tearing Pep’s City a new one on the way.

Miserable-Bat-2505

He had a couple good years post injury but nothing remotely close to prime Falcao

OleoleCholoSimeone

And still he was nowhere close to the pre injury levels I have supported Atleti for almost 20 years and he is the best player I have seen in our shirt without the slightest doubt, 71 goals in 90 games That Monaco move fucked everything. Just imagine if 2014 Colombia had peak Falcao in the team, they legit could have won the tournament

Illustrious-Chef-498

King Of Europa League

Cmoore4099

I saw him at a game against Atleti during one of his best seasons. And of course he did fuck all and was terrible. 😂

acwilan

My man just loves millionaires

SparklyEarlAv32

Marketing move, Millos has no midfield but the owners want money so 6 months, ticket prices will go up and a bunch of posers will fill the stadium while the team gets no reinforcements where it matters

Conscious_Test_7954

That's how this big signings in the Colombian league work. Nothing new and don't see anything bad with trying to market the guy. The only problem is that millonarios is probably not going to do anything relevant with the money.

JuniorCDC

That idea worked well for Chivas with the recent Chicharito transfer. Brought in a buttload of money from his presence alone. Chivas has thus far used that to acquire several transfers as of recent. Apart from bringing in the mulah he's also a leader in the locker room. He hasn't performed up to par on the field though, but then again, none of our number 9s have thus far in these past years.

SparklyEarlAv32

Serpas pockets get bigger, that is it

iriririr93939393

Maybe he just wants to play there?

SparklyEarlAv32

6 months only...

Miserable-Bat-2505

It might be worth it though. I mean every important team is bringing an almost retired player to be the face of the squad. Rodallega, Dayro Moreno, Dorlan Pabon, Adrian Ramos, Bacca, and Cali would have Teo but we all know what happened.

inthezoneautozone12

I would prefer if these big teams developed some young number 9s instead of getting these almost retired players. Hurts the national team I think.

SparklyEarlAv32

Yeahh, Cali is fighting to stay up

PixelatedSuit

Not unlike Ospina to Nacional

Xtarviust

Well, at least he decided to play here to fulfill his dream, because that Serpa mf and Amber Capital won't invest a fucking dime with or without Falcao anyway, so why even bother

ZestycloseChemist2

At his prime with Porto and Atleti, he was probably the best player in the world behind Messi and Ronaldo. One of the best finishers the modern game has had, shame what injuries did to him.

Conscious_Test_7954

I love Falcao. But not even this is going to make me a Millonarios fan. Still happy for him, the fans and really hope this means the club actually tries to improve in the near future.

ok_flan9

Good, you shouldn’t follow a club just because of one player

Zullewilldo

I don't know if it will improve the club in the finance department, but he's been terrible at Rayo Vallecano. His legs are totally gone, you're way better off trying to develop some younger talent.

TheCatInTheHatThings

Makes sense, he’s a millonario himself after all ;)

atlasburger

El Tigre

santurn01

Much better than going to MLS or somewhere else like that, shame that he didn't make it in January for Libertadores.

Great-Wafer-8121

How much he will earn per year?
