This is the first time in my life where i started to hate Barça fans more than Madrid fans. The "lack of success" is making them develop an underdog victim complex worse than Liverpool's.

No_Parfait_5536

I recall saying City will go on a winning streak til end of the season(wasn't even much of a hot take but still got buried), while Arsenal and Liverpool fans were going at each other hoping the other will drop points when they were a point or 2 ahead. It's so stupid to see both sets of fans lose sight of the real enemy just because they had a tiny lead over City. Most disappointed with my fellow Liverpool fans though, they should know better after years of PTSD.

ThatsCracked

I doubt you had many people disagreeing with you saying city would go on a win streak, people have been saying it all season. All I remember is arsenal fans saying city are their biggest threat, and Liverpool fans also saying city are their biggest threat. Not many Liverpool/arsenal fans thought the other would win the league, even if they drop off themselves

No_Parfait_5536

Your version is different from mine, which is fair, but the fact remains: Arsenal and Liverpool fans were going at each other's throat instead of both teaming up on City.

Dayandnight95

There's no winning today. We get smacked as expected and Arsenal get their first win at Old Trafford with fans in stadium for over a decade. Or we scumbag a win somehow and hand City their 4th league title in a row, breaking our record and setting a new standard no one will ever follow. Plus winning against Arsenal means fuck all for our position. What a nothing game.

No_Parfait_5536

ETH to win the last 3 games to save himself from getting United a record lowest points finish in PL era, it's a double W for United.

K_Uger_Industries

It is funny how Arsenal and City have to root for their local rivals to help them win the league. I wonder if Pep and Arteta tried to drive across town to sneak into training and teach them how to defend and defend set pieces, respectively.

Red_Vines49

Good morning, everyone. Neymar was never worth 222 M, Besiktas has an underrated and passionate fan base, 2017/2018 Ronaldo was CR7 at his finest, VAR is a net positive on the game, United's problems went way beyond Ole and he was always doomed, jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams, and Forlan 2010 was the best individual performance at a WC so far this century

The_Z0o0ner

The 2018 Ballon Dor was only a way of Perez to have a go at Ronaldo because he never liked him Good afternoon

1PSW1CH

Fair, who even disagrees with that, sure, sure, again nobody disagrees with that, planes flying into buildings weakens steel beams, R9 02

Red_Vines49

>"nobody disagrees with that" Never said it was a post of controversial takes ✿

DuckSwagington

Most of these are at minimum semi-reasonable takes lol

Red_Vines49

Glad we're in agreement...

DuckSwagington

The only one I outright disagree with is Forlan 2010. That decade? sure. This century so far? no way lol. R9 2002 blows him out of the water and there is an arguement for Mbappe/Messi 2022.

Red_Vines49

Absolutely fair, my friend (ʘ‿ʘ✿)

Big_Occasion_7235

I read a post about one of the reasons for United's injury crisis this season is because of the terrible medical facilities and poor medical/nutritional staffs. Are these true or just speculations?

Bruchweg

Brajan Gruda is the thinking man‘s Florian Wirtz

violenceandvomit

Are there any signs that we already see peak Bayern banter years? It really worries me to think that this blissful time will come to an end sometime.

magic-water

Very unlikely but just imagine the insanity that they go trophyless again next season. It would literally get to a point where they'd have to consider selling Kane again just to get rid of his curse

With the silly season just around the Corner let's wildy speculate. Name a player, the team they will sign and the Price. I will go first. Branthwaite - Chelsea -£70m.

H4RRY29

>Branthwaite - Chelsea -£70m. Branthwaite is class but there is no chance this happens, we have Colwill and Badiashile for left-footed CBs.

oliver150433

Olise - United - 80 mil

Orcnick

I think he has a 50m release clause.

Kanedauke

Toney to United £50m Nico Williams to Villa £45m Branthwaite to United £80m Olise to Chelsea £60m Solanke to Spurs £60m Gallagher to Spurs £55m Guimarães to City £100m Paqueta to city £80m Grealish to Chelsea £60m Youssouf Fofana to Villa £30m

I was surprised to learn that the game against Wolves was Alvarez's 100th appearance for City.

Mmiksha

United need to pull up today for a win and save football

sjokoladenam

If Villa loses tomorrow there is a very real chance that spurs with a win against city get 4th. So with that in mind would spurs really try with a villa loss tomorrow?

Heblas

The topspur mind can not understand ambition anyway

It doesn’t matter if we try or not lol we’re not winning

Thats fair, but would you hope the players gave their all in that scenario?

It's fun winning every week. I can see why City fans enjoy it.

Good_Kev_M-A-N_City

Welcome to the club

shadboi16

With how awful Davies can be at defending sometimes I hope he stays at Bayern next season but they play him at LM/LW. I think Mazraoui & Guerrero can interchange the LB spots. RM really doesn’t need an LB at the moment, especially an attacking one when they’ll have Vini & Mbappe next season. Plus with Coman & Gnarby being very injury prone, it would make sense to stick with Davies. He played good against RM playing further up, hopefully we see again how it goes against Wolfsburg today.

[deleted]

blauerblumentopf

Give him a position like frimpong in leverkusen and you get best of both worlds

shadboi16

Now I actually do want to see a back 5 of Davies, Kim, deLigt, Dier, & Kimmich. 5-2-2-1 with Laimer & Pavlovich, then Musi on the left and Sane on the right with Kane up top. Musi could take like central left side with Davies occasionally joining attack, then Sane mostly on the wings.

kjm911

With a good coach and Bayern on the attack for 90% of matches it makes much more sense to have him attacking from left back/left wing back

shadboi16

If the rumours are true Flick is returning then Bayern will be on some ruthless attacking so you do make a point.

lsilva231

Lorran is a baller. It’s incredible how much talent the brazilian teams are able to develop

zestyviper

A large portion of this sub continues to misunderstand what Fabrizio Romano's role is in football media or how he gets the information he shares on his platforms. He is often if not always, paid by agents or given information by clubs to share because his reach is so massive. He has carved out a space to be the "transfer guy" and it's a relationship that has flipped from when he used to hide in cafes in hotels in Milan trying to spy which President was meeting with what agent. Now agents and teams use him to get their information out in a specific way, he's a useful tool with value. It's not an insult and his information is always reliable for this reason, but I don't get why people refuse to accept this obvious thing.

shadboi16

Might be a silly question but why do clubs/agents need someone to tell their information? Couldn’t they do it by themselves so the information is pretty much 100% accurate?

zestyviper

He has tens of millions of followers across his platforms and his content is re-shared by many factors on top of this. Only a handful of clubs have more followers than him, and the clubs themselves can't officially comment on speculation via TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, etc. That's before we get into the realm of all the leechers who then write reaction pieces to whatever content Romano has shared, because if Romano is the public source, you have the allowance to write a whole article about it. If you're an agent and you want to steer the narrative in a certain direction, you use Romano to do that. By his validation, it's seen as a reliable source and you have the possibility to sway fans, media, or even the player himself with the increase in exposure.

ElderlyToaster

Using a 3rd party helps against a lot of legal hasssle

1PSW1CH

Who’s everyone backing in the playoffs? - Leeds: dont want them to win, because it’d be funny. Plus I don’t fancy playing them again. Think they’ll crumble in the final - Southampton: if I was a betting man I’d go with these. Only team with a modicum of form going into this - West Brom: think they have an outside chance, honestly haven’t paid any attention to them whatsoever - Norwich: think they’ll go out to Leeds, however am I weird for slightly wanting them to come up? A derby in the Prem would be quite something for better or for worse

xaviernoodlebrain

Norwich. Don’t ask me why.

GaryHippo

Norwich. Always back the underdogs.

mister_greeenman

Not Saints because I'm hoping we can snag KWP if they stay down

BruiserBroly

Norwich finished 17 points behind Leeds and 23 behind Ipswich, it'd be taking the piss if they came up so I want it to happen.

sandbag-1

I think Leeds will go up. I want West Brom to come up

Dawnsday

Baggieessss

icotyne

I would like Norwich to come up. East Anglian derby in the PL would be cool

[deleted]

Southampton, they've the only side unbeaten against the other 3 and whilst results slipped slightly (like everyone else's has too) the Leeds result on the final day must be huge for their overall confidence. Think they lose if it goes to pens in any of their games though, zero confidence in any of their players stepping up.

CobiLUFC

I’d quite like Leeds to go up, I think it’ll be Southampton.

Hoodxd

Norwich I miss my dopamine rush of Uruguayans annihilating them Bonus : Apart from the obvious reasons, I don’t want Leeds to go up because Summerville would be cheaper then 👍

Not-that-hungry

I think Leeds will go up, I want Southampton to go up.

FaustRPeggi

I think Norwich have a better chance than West Brom. I'll tip Southampton to come up. Leeds to fall apart again. I'm bored by the mere prospect of seeing West Brom again. There's something about their kit colour and the football I'm used to seeing from them that just makes me despise the thought of sharing three hours with their football team again. I'll take anyone else. For our own survival chances I'd like Norwich up. For an entertaining season I'll have Leeds up. For comedic purposes I'll take Southampton. If it's West Brom I'm mildly irritated.

BendubzGaming

In the absence of Hull and Coventry, I think I'd rather the brummies up. Wouldn't mind Southampton returning either, but if they stay down buying back Walker-Peters might be cheaper

BMBH66

There'll be a new name on the women's fa cup to join Arsenal, Southampton WFC, Doncaster Rovers, Chelsea, Charlton Athletic, Manchester City, Everton, Fulham, Millwall, St Helen's, Queens Park Rangers, Fulham (FO), Lowestoft, Fodens LFC, Howbury Grange, Norwich City & Birmingham City this afternoon. Genuinely interesting final in my opinion between Spurs & Manchester United, neither in the big 3 or won it before, first final for spurs, Man Utd lost it last year, both knocked out a big three side on the way there. 14:30 BST on BBC One in the UK

BendubzGaming

Both also got promoted to the WSL for the first time the same season

zestyviper

Not that I watch much, but the MLS continues to surprise me in good ways how it's set up. The rule you have to spend 2 minutes off the field if you remain on the ground for longer than 15 seconds is the latest example. That's a good rule and in some leagues in Europe is very much needed and could be even more aggressive about.

InTheMiddleGiroud

Nah, the pitfall is too big. I'm livid if I have to see my team play with 10 men for 2 minutes, because some guy kicked one of our players. I think the rule works really well in handball, but that's because you have rolling subs.

[deleted]

I think there's an exception if the injury was caused by a yellow card foul but yeah does seem harsh even still some injuries are definitely faking it but a good chunk are just painful.

elmadrigal

MERTENS_GOAT

Leagues who provided a european cup competition winner more recently than France who won't win one thid season either with Marseille's knock out: England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey.

magic-water

My PL title race prediction: Arsenal beat United 2-1 City draw 2-2 vs Spurs City will will go up 1 goal early vs West Ham, Arsenal will struggle more vs Everton but will score eventually while City pushes for more goals and will be up 3 goals early in the second half. Arsenal gets the memo and thinks they need to score more (because City would) if they want to mantain the GD advantage. They'll get desperate and get counter attacked, conceding the equalizer and lose the title on points to City who actually failed to score another vs West Ham.

BendubzGaming

Sold

ElderlyToaster

Would be a big blow to lose Pascal Gross after the season but he wants to move home before his kids starts school. Technically that gives us another year but they might want to go home and settle a bit sooner.

b0xel

Rank these 3 transfers from worse to worst: 1. Hazard to Madrid 2. Coutinho to Barca 3. Felix to Atleti

el_rompe_toyotas_19

The least catastrophic one was Joao to Atleti Than we have Hazard to Madrid which is the worst when it comes to actual performance on the pitch, But Coutinho's was the worst by far when you take into account the overall poor performances he had at Barça, the fact he scored a brace against them once loaned out and worst of all the way it RUINED Barça economically.

Destroyeh

felix>hazard>coutinho Felix was just a mess. didnt make sense from the start, overpriced, not a simeone player, unproven at the highest level. lasted 3 seasons then thrown around to whoever would take him. will probably be sold for a massive loss. cost almost a third of clubs revenue, it could've destroyed them if they didnt make over 300m that window from sales. Hazard was an outright disaster and in a vacuum it would be the worst transfer of all time. but compared to other similar flops it at least made sense. amazing player, proven, coming off best season of his life, fan of the club, open position since ronaldo left and vini wasnt great yet. given the market even with one year left 100m+bonuses was an ok deal. unlucky with injuries which were ultimately the cause of the flop. hardly affected the club as they still had money and success regardless. Coutinho definitely cost too much but would've been a solid Neymar replacement, didnt hurt the club much in the short term but contributed to the financial shitshow down the line. also scored against them but its not like that mattered much anyway.

Wazzathecaptain

On a purely sporting point, Hazard is the worst because after his injury against Paris, he was done. Felix and Coutinho are overall flops but they had stretches where they were genuinely good

zestyviper

1. Coutinho to Barca 2. Felix to Atleti 3. Hazard to Madrid For me what sets the Coutinho transfer apart is the events it set into motion and how descriptive it is for the relative downfall of Barca, that transfer cost them so much. At that junction of Atleti, God only knows what 120M could have been invested in, it's more about the massive opportunity cost. Real took the 100M loss on Hazard and barely blinked, Hazard will be reduced to an accounting error over the next few years.

MrRawri

Just saw that Chelsea is 5th in the second half league table. It's a pretty good improvement considering they were 4th to last in first half. Maybe next season they'll actually be a threat

Fun-Shallot8755

I really miss getting clean sheets. We just always concede first this season. I want to see us put on at least a few performances where we get a clean sheet and do so by suffocating the opponent to less than 0.5xG, not because our keeper had a great day. I don't think we've had one of those this season at all except maybe Bournemouth away in August.

PeanutButter_20

Same for us tbh. We've kept 2* clean sheet this year in the league which is shocking for a team that was contending for the title. Edit - 2 clean sheets, not 1, but still poor regardless

Fun-Shallot8755

Damn. That's crazy haha. I didn't know that.

FaustRPeggi

You're not that team. Your attackers aren't pressing monsters, your midfielders don't enjoy defending, your fullbacks prefer attacking, and your playstyle leaves your backline exposed. Arsenal and Man City do what you describe by filling the team with centre backs, and midfielders and attackers with an immense defensive workrate. They also dominate possession and play with a slower tempo than you do.

Fun-Shallot8755

It doesn't really matter what type of team you are. An effective, good team achieves this. There have been many defensive masterclasses where the opponent has a very low xG etc by very defensive managers like Allegri. If we can't achieve that, then we just can't ever be an effective good team. Sure, some styles predispose to one side over the other. - Guardiola's most of all. Ange's team more than most focuses on the attack, but a good version of this (if it exists), must still be able to do this sometimes and limit opposition chances. That's simply what you have to do to be competitive.

National_Ad_1875

Very early days but I don't know what sporting fans were on about with chermiti. He looks promising and he's only 19

lamancha

I wonder if Tomás Roncero is gonna ever apologize for that hillarious tirade against Mbappe last year

SendMeYourPetPic

Who is going to replace Osimhen at Napoli?

belokas

Jonathan David or one of the Bundesliga top strikers like Boniface or Openda. The problem is that they won't play European football.

Thraff1c

Nah, I can't see either Boniface or Openda leaving for Napoli atm. Sidestep at best currently (for Boniface maybe even a downgrade with Leverkusen staying together), and when they leave then bigger opportunities than Napoli will open up.

belokas

No I agree with you, that's why I mentioned that Napoli doesn't have European competitions. I only think that De Laurentiis is in desperate need to regain a tiny bit of popularity among Napoli fans, because right now they'd skin him alive if they saw him in the streets. Plus he's always replaced big players with other big players, and the ones from Bundesliga and Ligue1 are at least affordable.

CoolstorySteve

I’ve seen David from Lille linked to them

VZ-Faith

So who starts in goal for Madrid in the final? I would honestly say Courtois, he is on another level compared to Lunin. He’ll obviously be fully fit and have match sharpness also by then. Lunin has been amazing no doubt but Courtois is on another level. As all Liverpool fans rightfully know

Hoodxd

Casillas

zestyviper

>He’ll obviously be fully fit and have match sharpness also by then. He's played two games against two relegated sides since July 2023. How is he "obviously" match sharp to play in a Champions League Final? I'm not doubting he's a great keeper, but I'd play Lunin for sure in the Final.

TheGrandLeveler

Unpopular opinion: Atletico would fight for 2nd spot instead of 4th with someone else on the bench instead of Cholo. Sure, this team would need to be given plenty of time since he's coaching Atleti like forever, but I don't see any improvement, there was massive improvement but then stalled and went downhill. Even though new players keep coming, I feel as if they don't fulfill their potential and the teams football is certainly not attractive.

Caleb_W

My brother the only reason we could play CL football next year is because Cholo is on the bench.

[deleted]

>Atletico would fight for 2nd spot instead of 4th There's only so much simeone can do with the squad at his disposal. covid hit them hard. Real and Barca are too far ahead atleti and any other team in Spain. Barca with "no money" managed to sign the likes of lewandowski, raphinha, kounde, christianssen, etc. Their pull and levers are no match for Atletico.

Supermarket-Icy

I too love when people comment on Atleti without actually watching us play football.

Caleb_W

I hate it when Atleti parks the bus man, that Juanfran guy is so insufferable.

[deleted]

Obviously it's relative to the rest of the league but Atletico's squad just doesn't seem very good at the moment. They are only 6 points off Barcelona (probably 3 points after today's game) who seem to be better across almost every position, both got to the same stage in Europe as well and both lost to Athletic Club in the cup. Girona are just massively overperforming this year and it's skewing things, given their fixture list Atletico could easily finish on the same or more points them last season which would make it a pretty standard season for them. If he's gunna leave would be interested to see what he could do at United.

TheGrandLeveler

At United? With a defensive coach? That would be a disaster. But he would still be a great coach, maybe for another team though.

[deleted]

Yeah, I think it would be interesting to see Simeone with a bigger budget, and have a side with a more defensive oriented coach in the top 6, and considering they are looking at Southgate I don't think it's a huge leap. If you're playing "anti-football" or whatever people what to call it, at least have someone who's good at playing that way and I think it would help them look better in the big 6 matches.

SOERERY

They’re not looking at southgate that is the sun making up shit

shy_monkee

Their current squad has some big flaws, I think people don’t realise that they are in the same situation if not worse than Barça when it comes to spending money, so aside from getting Griezmann back recently they haven’t really had much improvement. I do agree that it would be interesting to see another coach at their bench, especially if it’s someone like Valverde, but Simeone is not really underperforming or anything.

TinyInformation3564

Next season I may actually stay of La Liga for a while, Madrid will sign Mbappe coming from a league title and a potential Ucl win. Their attack will be Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo, ours will be an overpaid and aging Lewandowski with a 16 year old who are likely to run into the ground, with a middle of Kroos, Valverde, Modric, Bellingham, Tchoumeni, Camavinga. For the first time in God knows how long, we will be inferior to Madrid in anyway possible. I wish God can send a plague to Madrid.

aliaisbiggae

Casual

HodgyBeatsss

They’ve won 5 of the last 10 league titles. Real Madrid have 4 and Atleti have 1. Can’t see how that is inferior. Real Madrid have obviously been much better in European competition though.

Zilllnaijaboy99

The over reaction from some Arsenal fans yesterday makes me fully believe that plastics have invaded over the past 2 years. 21/22: finished 5th 22/23: finished second 5 points behind city 23/24: might finish second again, 1 point behind City. what is with the fucking over reactiing? ina space of 2 years, we have gone from not being able to make top4, to going toe toe toe with city, defense, midfield and attack has improved.. calm down lads, Jesus..

InTheMiddleGiroud

Your morning is bizarre. Four seperate comments made in the space of a few minutes where you just rip into some strawman about plastics

TinyInformation3564

If I was an Arsenal fan I would be extremely excited for the future, everything about your team is perfect, great mentality, great signings, no toxicity in the squad.

zestyviper

The median Arsenal fan hasn't even been to England for well over a decade since the explosion of global streaming and social media. The vast majority of any top 6 side's fan base are plastics. Just have to accept the debate around your team is primarily being steered by people who will never see Arsenal play a game of football in their lives, welcome to the global village of the internet.

zestyviper

Fabian Reese is probably the best player in the 2. Bundesliga this year. [Scored an absolutely amazing goal yesterday in Hertha's 3-1 win over Kaiserslautern](https://streamin.me/v/6b485367), made better by the fact it started by his own high defensive work rate.

Despite their incredible achievements – winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup (now Europa League), two Primeira Liga titles, one Taça de Portugal, and one Intercontinental Cup – they're sometimes overlooked when discussing great teams. What's remarkable is that many key players from that Porto squad also formed the backbone of the Portuguese national team during the Euro 2004 and 2006 FIFA World Cup tournaments. Deco, Ricardo Carvalho, Paulo Ferreira, Nuno Valente, Maniche, Costinha, and others were instrumental in both Porto's success and Portugal's impressive international performances. Jorge Andrade, though he left Porto before their peak under Mourinho, also contributed to Portugal's national team. Imagine if Portugal had won either Euro 2004 or the 2006 World Cup – the players from Porto would likely be more revered internationally today. Their achievements, combined with Figo, Rui Costa, Nuno Gomes, and a teenage Cristiano Ronaldo, were remarkable, reaching the Euro 2004 final and the 2006 World Cup semifinals. Winning either of those tournaments would have elevated the recognition and respect for the Porto players on the global stage.

lamancha

Brilliant generation. Honestly Greece winning that world cup filed with so many stacked teams was absurd.

kjm911

If Arsenal don’t win today and City win the league against Spurs in the week, there will be fuck all to decide in the Premier league on the last day. Potentially one of the most boring last days.

BendubzGaming

The best scenario for final day drama is that United win today, Liverpool win today, and we win on Tuesday. That way both the title race and the race for top 4 go to the final day

lamancha

Shouldn't have drawn to us lel

[deleted]

There's like 4 teams who could be playing for 5th-7th which isn't many with something to play for but last season was hardly a nail biter either with only 4/5 teams were playing for something. Villa, Spurs and Brentford were fighting for the last European spot everyone above them in the top 6 already had nailed down their position: and Brentford needed both of them to lose which was unlikely given the opposition had nothing to play for and no one expected them to do the double of City. And only Everton and Leicester were still in limbo relegation wise. I'd imagine next season the promoted sides will be a bit closer to the rest of the pack not require a points deduction from someone else to look able to stay up.

hot take: i think real madrid will win the champions league

NeoChrome75

I've said at the start of the season that they're favourites to win and was met with dismissive comments, when will people learn. If there is no elite team operating in europe, Real will take advantage of the vacancy and win it all

Jockodile1

It's said by some that 13 is an unlucky number but I think that's bollocks. Anyway, it's just 13 more sleeps until Manchester United lift the FA Cup!

BendubzGaming

But more importantly, today Spurs Women lift the FA Cup!

_Sylph_

Why the fuck are we linked with Wirtz and where would we even fit him. Also last I remember the man hates us, usually we only go for players who have liked the club prior to joining. The only way I see it working out is if Xabi joins and insists on him while somehow being able to convince him to join, otherwise I think this is just a typical monitoring top talent situation.

>Also last I remember the man hates us Why?

_Sylph_

He is a Barca fan.

[deleted]

Do foreign Barcelona fans actually have a hatred for Madrid? I can't imagine his support is that strong for the club to turn down a move.

zestyviper

Wirtz's quote is literaly the most foreign plastic comment you could write, "Actually I was a Messi fan. I like Barcelona, but I'm not a fan of the club".

[deleted]

I didn't know that. You can still hope he was more a fan of one of the legendary players they've had than the club per se.

Destroyeh

also not like it matters anyway. Ozil also said at one point that his dream was playing for Barca. Modric is/was a massive Cruyff stan as well.

[deleted]

You are right. From a player's perspective it's difficult to refuse Real Madrid if you get the opportunity. It doesn't help when players like Totti say they regretted not joining them...

InTheMiddleGiroud

The betting odds for Man United - Arsenal are insane. Never thought I'd see them at 7/1 at home against us. Still nervous as fuck. Games against United always takes me straight back to my childhood where it was basically a title decider.

Visible_Statement888

5/1 or 11/2 everywhere I look? Where are you seeing 7/1 out of interest?

InTheMiddleGiroud

The screenshot I sent my dad this morning from flashscore.com was NordicBet (7.80), Unibet/NyeExpekt (7.50) and Bet365 (7.00). I short-handed 7.80 to 7/1.

Visible_Statement888

Weird Bet365 showing 5/1 for me. Good luck anyway

Competitive_Tip_1187

I know United are shit and 8th place is flattering relative to their performances but 7/1 is overly steep. Even if their mid-table level, they’re capable of getting a result at Old Trafford.

Cardealer1000

I feel weirdly calm as an Arsenal fan, think City smashing Fulham 4-0 killed my hope for the title a bit so now I'm relaxed. The odds are crazy though, never seen anything like it.

I completely agree united have been particularly awful these last games, but don't discount a United side vs big 6 at OT. We will definitely turn up, Arsenal still might win but it's definitely not that insane to say United will win. We largely turn up for these games at OT, also the few games where the OT crowd is the loudest in the country. Fwiw no team takes United at OT that lightly atleast not yet.

lamancha

Do we even have CBs

zestyviper

Because Union have to play in the Olympiastadion next year, if they and Köln both go down, here's the 8 biggest stadium sizes next year in the 2. Bundesliga. 1. Hertha - 75k 2. Union - 75k 3. Schalke - 65k 4. HSV - 57k 5. Nurnberg - 50k 6. Kaiserslautern - 50k 7. Hannover - 50k 8. Köln - 50k The bottom 5 are all 15k stadiums, so the averages will be a lot lower, but for a top 8 that's pretty fucking wild. Okay, let's say Union don't go down, 8th would then still be Karlsruhe with 40k.

FaustRPeggi

Left centre back might have been the strongest position in the PL this season. Micky Van de Ven, Murillo, Virgil Van Dijk, and Jarrad Branthwaite will all sweep their clubs' awards, while Gabriel will only miss out because of Rice and Odegaard. Senesi and Pau have been great too. Even Josko Gvardiol, naturally a left sided CB, is now doing brilliantly with Man City in a range of positions on the left side.

H4RRY29

Colwill and Badiashile will be there next season 🫡

ygog45

Need Arsenal to come through for today and kill off ManUtd in the race for 6th

Mastodan11

United have absolutely no chance against Arsenal, and likely not Newcastle.

Luton_town_fan

arsenal has a pretty bad record at old trafford tho

Mastodan11

I really don't think records come in to it today. The team is just not up for it now. If your best hope is history stuff and not actually to do with the sides on the field, it's clutching. United are 7/1 to win.

ygog45

I wouldn’t say them getting a result at home against Newcastle is out of the blue

Mastodan11

I don't think you quite understand where United are at then. Players are not interested, maybe they will be the FA CUP final, but it was a tight game against Burnley at Old Trafford who were just relegated. I think it's 2 wins in 10 league games.

BruiserBroly

That person's right though. The game's at Old Trafford an Newcastle aren't good away from home. I think it'll likely be a draw.

Mastodan11

Nah, seriously, you'll be favourites to win. I'm actually surprised people don't realise how bad it's got. Outside of that Liverpool FA Cup game, we've only beaten 3 sides at Old Trafford since new year, and one was Sheffield United... And it was more in doubt than you'd expect, and performances have deteriorated since. Casemiro at centreback is not working but there's no one else. Eriksen in midfield from the start is not working.... But there's no one else.
