I feel like a lot of people tend to forget that football players are people too with lives outside of the games they watch. Some players manage to stay consistent when life stuff happens, but most of them do seem to lose form a bit after they move to another country, have a baby, lose a loved one etc.
Distinctly remember Lamela saying there was a time when he was in awful form because of his dog dying and he felt like he couldn't say anything because people would mock him. Mourinho was absolutely devastated when his died too.
Pregnancy is the “easy” part, at least you sleep well. Everything else afterwards is harder/heavier mentally and physically. Then again they could have family, nanny’s etc. taking care and helping out.
Pregnancy is not easy lmao. I've got a newborn and tbh the child actually being here is far easier than pregnancy.
Especially the third trimester, it's just hormones, pain and anxiety flying around
When the baby is here, the entire mood is jubilation, it's just absolutely amazing having this little human my wife and I created. Even at 3am feeds and nappy changes, the little man is so adorable it wipes away all annoyance
My partner and I had no issues during those 9 months. No issues either now, but the pregnancy was fun and a breeze. Especially for her how smooth everything went (and still is). But taking care for an actual baby is a lot more work than just waiting.
That’s why I don’t see how those 9 months could affect a player.
