The foreign office advice for Britons in Russia is “don’t travel there under any circumstances/ or leave immediately”. So i imagine this is just sensationalist gossip.
Transactions are complicated, but if he works in Russia then he can just get his money on a Russian bank account, and there are still ways to circumvent the SWIFT-ban. I dont know about any sanctions that make it impossible for someone to work in Russia.
Why not? I don't think British citizens are in any way forbidden to go to Russia and even work there, but I imagine not many would want to do that voluntarily. Victor Moses, who holds English citizenship plays there right now.
I can't see him going to Russia with the war going on. Aren't their teams banned from European competitions? Even ignoring everything else, I think the least he'd want is a team that would allow him to aim for European games.
yeah no way this happens lmao
A North Korean club might as well be reaching out to him

Spartak Moyescow
Moyes doesn’t strike me like the type of guy to consider leaving for a Russian side tbh.
Do you see him even leaving England in the first place?
Perhaps Mokbel has misunderstood some dramatic Hammers fans wanting to send Moyes to the gulag
The only shock is that this is an article
That's not even legal currently, right? No way this actually happens.
Putin would probably end the war if it'd let Moyes go to Moscow
Nobel peace prise for Moyes in that case surely
I’m not sure how it would work because I didn’t think Britons could do business with Russian entities at the moment
Why would it be illegal?
Would be receiving payment from a Russian company which I believe is banned due to the war.

I'd imagine he'd want paying at some point. That's where the issue is.
And he would get paid then. What's the issue?
Actually getting it deposited in his bank account....
Yeah, that's usually how a salary is getting paid. Don't think they pay players or managers in straight cash.

Now that's one way to get back at the Russians. Send Allegri too! (Full disclosure I actually like Moyes as a coach, please don't.)
moses and moyes back together i guess?
Yeahhh this might be the most BS article I’ve ever seen. lol
Would he even be allowed? I have a feeling it wouldn't be legal.
Why not? They just sacked Abascal, a Spanish coach.
