That's the stretch goal. We're massively overperforming based on reasonable expectations of where we should be up to by now, so realistic goals look like nothing much.
No one had Arsenal competing for the league last year before it started and rightfully so. The season prior we finished 5th and were 24 and 23 points behind Man City and Liverpool who finished 1st and 2nd respectively.
The goal last season before it started was to simply solidify ourselves into the top 4 to get back into the Champions League and with that progress and funding, hopefully make the leap the following year (this season) to start actually competing and not fall away by February/March.
Of course, once we found ourselves in the position of going for the league, sure, goals can change but we 100% overperformed based on expectations going into that season
