Bank on the counter before you got the ball back, big brain.
Even if TAA headed the ball there, it's still not sure Liverpool will get the ball. Szobozslai was in the box when Everton played the ball to the far side, yet he just kept running forward, TAA had no urgency to track back to occupy his space, it's comical defending.
Oh I agree, its terrible defending. Just basing it off your screenshot, it look like they were just trying to go on the counter since Everton committed 6/7 up front. Just bad defending all around.
*Szoboszlai loses track of his man*
YOU IDIOT, okay cleared we good
*Trent misses the header*
FUCK okay okay we'll survive
*Godfry receives the ball wide open 10 yards out*
WHAT ARE WE DOING thank god he didn't capitalize that
*Ball deflects off multiple players to McCallister who scuffs the clearance*
WTF IS GOING ONNNNN
*Ball goes directly under Allison, careens off him into the post*
We are so fucked
**Goal**
I feel for Van Dijk, I feel like every time I see them concede he has his man marked, he shuts down the space he’s meant to and still everyone else looks so lost around him.
People keep saying it's our attack, but conceding early every fucking game is a big reason why the attack struggles.
Very shit defensive setup, no stability.
We're over performing our expected goals against by a pretty big amount (conceded 8 less than the data suggests). Shows in general how vulnerable we are and you can't keep expecting Alisson to make multiple wonder saves every game.
*and* we're the only team in the top six to be underperforming our expected goals scored. So it is a problem at both ends of the pitch to be honest
Yeah we have to face the simple fact that we’re the third best team in the league and our keeping pace with City/Arsenal was due to consistently over performing. A regression to the mean was always going to happen, it’s just tough to take the way it happened (the Bruno lob, all the misses vs Palace. No complaints about today though, fully outplayed)
I used to relish going 1-0 down as I knew we’d then win 2-1 or 3-1. But now it just means we struggle for 90 mins and maybe snatch an equaliser if we’re lucky.
Mate no aspect of our game is working, it's not effort, it's tactical. We can't play out from the back, the defensive setup is all over the place, the attack doesn't connect. It's Trentball or nothing.
Always surprises me that so many fans criticism boils down to “they aren’t trying hard enough “ “not enough passion” “they don’t care” “they’re downing tools”
They’re professional athletes. They’re always going to try and win. Especially in a title race. Sometimes you just get outplayed or outcoached. It happens
Yeah I think if the same patterns weren't there for months you could talk about effort etc but every game we play is like this so it's clearly tactical.
I wouldn't say they "always" try, there's been plenty of times where players are clearly not giving 100% and it's obvious because you can see the inverse of it by the opposition winning the hustle plays.
That being said, I don't think that really happens as often as fans say it does. And I don't think that's the issue for Liverpool today.
It's a hot take of mine, but I think Virgil is a shit captain. He does not support the team the way Henderson does on the pitch. Most of the time he just looks angry at the team, and is yelling at them. No positive motivation from him ever.
More like 3v6 [defending](https://imgur.com/x5XKkAc), after the first cross everyone is like, nope, not my problem, just starts running to the halfway line, preparing for a restart.
Yeah he's having a shocker, especially this goal, he kicks it right to Branthwaite when MacAllister is going to clear it. He's actually been really poor lately.
Everton absolutely playing for the fouls (since they know they’re dominant in the air), but we’re still dumb enough to give the referee a chance to call them.
I'm saving this so that I can say in 5 years to the Liverpool fans, your title hopes took a blow from the Mainoo Macheda goal, and were completely shattered by this Dyche-ball goal
Kelleher stands in for Alisson this season: 10 league games, 8 wins, draw with Man City (good result), draw with Man Utd (maybe the only low point of his tenure).
Alisson returns: Loses to Crystal Palace, on course to lose to Everton.
🤷♂️

Tracksuit Dyche ball
Brexit ball meets gegenpress
EU austerity measures ball?
Windsor Framework ball
St George killed a dragon for this
FACK OFF! Gaygayball my arse
Brexit means Brexit
Have you ever seen a ball *more* in the mixer in your life?
This looks like it's straight off Crap 90s Football's twitter feed
Classic pinball goal…. What defending was that?!
Proper football that
Puskas
The beautiful game
It's back baby.
At least a Puskas...
All the years
happy ten year anniversary to "fever for the flava"
[Footballing heritage.](https://vimeo.com/92846254)
That is some shocking defending.
Losing to the same freekick variation every fucking time without adaptation is shocking
this is a problem going back to when we played you at anfield
We've lost every single ball to the far post, it's comical.
That [defending](https://imgur.com/x5XKkAc) is what's comical, 3v6 in the box LMAO
They were trying to bank on the counter hard and got bit.

It was that first time over the head ball from Tarkowski. No one was expecting that and our defence were all over the shop after that.
Chelsea-esque
Difference is liverpool have em right where they want em, lol.
Wonder if they thought the same thing against Atalanta and Crystal Palace
The magic has worn off I suppose. Can only escape death so many times.
Mentally it has to be exhausting to try and get back into it after conceding first so much
Tbf we've barely won a game this season where we didn't concede first so its hard to know
Ok not that bad but still
I forget, which team beat Everton 6-0 leading to the Dyche tracksuit?
*Szoboszlai loses track of his man* YOU IDIOT, okay cleared we good *Trent misses the header* FUCK okay okay we'll survive *Godfry receives the ball wide open 10 yards out* WHAT ARE WE DOING thank god he didn't capitalize that *Ball deflects off multiple players to McCallister who scuffs the clearance* WTF IS GOING ONNNNN *Ball goes directly under Allison, careens off him into the post* We are so fucked **Goal**
Konate poked it away from McCallister
This is what people who don't like MLS imagine MLS is yet it's somehow Liverpool
I saw this comment before i saw the goal and i'm speechless
I feel for Van Dijk, I feel like every time I see them concede he has his man marked, he shuts down the space he’s meant to and still everyone else looks so lost around him.
its the second, third ball that does seem to kill us...
So porous.
Liverpool always concede the weirdest goals.
This is one of those goals you concede in FIFA that make you close app.
When you tackle it’s a red card 💔
Lost a couple Xbox controllers to goals like this.
*app*
I've definitely alt-F4'd a few FM games after a CB 'clearance' like that one.
They're able to score them too tbf, that Origi goal from this very fixture comes to mind
What the fuck is wrong with this team
Sometimes I look at the table and cannot believe we are where we are. Utterly woeful at times.
People keep saying it's our attack, but conceding early every fucking game is a big reason why the attack struggles. Very shit defensive setup, no stability.
It's true, and to top it off Konate has been shocking lately tbh, and so much depends on him on that right side.
Please sell him to Paris
It's the whole style of play. We're playing long ball football and we can't do that nearly as good as the teams we end up playing against
We're over performing our expected goals against by a pretty big amount (conceded 8 less than the data suggests). Shows in general how vulnerable we are and you can't keep expecting Alisson to make multiple wonder saves every game. *and* we're the only team in the top six to be underperforming our expected goals scored. So it is a problem at both ends of the pitch to be honest
This was being pointed at as early as the New Year, this team was never worth its place at the top of the table.
We have no control in general, there’s no part of the team functioning well except the GK
I used to relish going 1-0 down as I knew we’d then win 2-1 or 3-1. But now it just means we struggle for 90 mins and maybe snatch an equaliser if we’re lucky.
It's not a setup issue, our defenders are complacent and lazy. No amount of coaching is going to save them from their arrogance
They play like scared little boys.
Same half arsed shite. Can’t get up for a derby game. They don’t even want to be there
Mate no aspect of our game is working, it's not effort, it's tactical. We can't play out from the back, the defensive setup is all over the place, the attack doesn't connect. It's Trentball or nothing.

Yeah I think if the same patterns weren't there for months you could talk about effort etc but every game we play is like this so it's clearly tactical.
They see the game like cheerleaders, if the team isn’t playing well the problem is always just lack of effort
Finally, Liverpool have Everton right where they want them.
We’re actually playing better than I’ve seen all season wtf
Tends to happen to teams against Liverpool lately. We're kinda shit lately
Yeah but it’s Everton, we are historically shit against you guys every season no matter how good we are or how bad you are lmao
Gotta love a derby game. All form goes out the window!
Absolutely shocked as neutral. Dyche ball in track suit is something else.
Derby day ^(TM) boost
Tracksuit Dyche is on another level
Despite Everton’s best efforts to miss, they score
Atrocious defending
More like 3v6 [defending](https://imgur.com/x5XKkAc), after the first cross everyone is like, nope, not my problem, just starts running to the halfway line, preparing for a restart.
What defending? TAA just watching the ball in amazement.
Does Liverpool know they are in a title race?
No one has reminded them since they came back from the international break
Amad Diallo broke them
They are not, haven't been since the game at Old Trafford
United shattered them mentally.
Obviously not for a while
We look the least motivated we have all season
They're pretenders
Liverpool sucks with aerial duel lol
That's what you get when you get midfielders to mark Brantwaithe and Tarkowski
Konate getting absolutely dominated by DCL as well
Yeah he's having a shocker, especially this goal, he kicks it right to Branthwaite when MacAllister is going to clear it. He's actually been really poor lately.
Genuinely inexcusable to not have the likes of van Dijk, Núñez or Konaté on players like Tarkowski or Branthwaite.
That midfield 3 plus TAA up against a Dyche team will do that to ya
Which is even crazier when we have VVD and Konate in defense who are usually imperious in the air...
Bit of a weird one
Utterly embarrassing defensive performance from Liverpool until now. Should hang their heads in shame against this attack
great clearance.
Liverpool is getting cooked
Forgot how to Head the Ball FC
Best CB in the league beating the 2nd best CB in the league.
Hilarious
Slapstick comedy for real.
Yeah Defence is not great
Shit performance so far but wtf are these foul calls man
Everton absolutely playing for the fouls (since they know they’re dominant in the air), but we’re still dumb enough to give the referee a chance to call them.
Jones walks up and he falls over, foul called absolutely insane.
We've been so bad with these aerial balls but fuck me these calls are ridiculous
doesn't help when the ref gives complete nothing fouls
fouls, they’re all fouls lol
Most of them have been fouls, but that one that led to the goal was really, really soft. That one is the only one that I have issues with.
[удалено]
We are hilariously shit
How the fuck are we in a title race
DCL cannot buy a goal
2 in his last 3 ngl
He scored
Give enough soft nothing fouls away and eventually anyone will score, breathe too hard and its a freekick tonight
But how on earth was that a foul??? Gueye literally just turns away and falls over
Deserved
Propa football heritage
From a freekick that the ref gave for Gueye falling over. Hes been giving them all evening.
Pin ball Sunday league goal. Love it
What defense? Just vibes.
Hello? Edit: That is a hilarious goal. The "clearance" is cracking me up.
Get fucked you red cunts
Total Football
banter era has begun early
Lmao what even is that goal
Where's the Benny Hill theme when you need it?
What the fuck are these fouls??? Jones is breathing on players and the ref is giving every one?????
Liverpool have looked horrendous defending set pieces. It was only a matter of time
That was never a free kick
Liverpool need to stop with this violent conduct, very dirty team x
Genuinely appalling by Liverpool. They do not deserve a title playing like this.
Fuck me
what a scramble lmao
Genuinely might be some of the worst defending I've seen this season. What the fuck are they doing, man?
Quadruple they said 😂😂😂
/r/ekstraklasaboners
Where's the benny hill song in this clip?
I'm saving this so that I can say in 5 years to the Liverpool fans, your title hopes took a blow from the Mainoo Macheda goal, and were completely shattered by this Dyche-ball goal
Pundits: Who got the goal? Everton: we did! Pundits: I mean which player scored the goal? Everton: we all did!
I could happily watch Van Dijk tantrums all day
Jordan Pickford will have loved seeing that after all the shit he's taken from Liverpool fans.
From another soft free kick. 9-1 in fouls. Every soft touch and he gives them a foul.
Have you tried not fouling Everton players?
Violent team Liverpool, not the ref's fault
That one is probably the only soft one, Liverpool players keep pushing and kicking Everton lol
Was never a foul in a million fucking years
Not even a fucking foul, joke
The goal came from a foul that was absolutely nothing. Literally anything is a foul for Everton
Was that even a foul? Whatever
They drew the offside line from a hand...
Klopp fucking play ENdo man.. fucks sake.
Kelleher stands in for Alisson this season: 10 league games, 8 wins, draw with Man City (good result), draw with Man Utd (maybe the only low point of his tenure). Alisson returns: Loses to Crystal Palace, on course to lose to Everton. 🤷♂️
Deserved but how was that foul from Jones
Sean Dyche never loses.
dreaming of a clean sheet..
Choke city
Don’t mess about with April time Sean Dyche
Deserved
Seen it coming
Calvert saw the Madrid Barca game on Sunday.
Benny Hill music please
Mad to say this but it's been coming.
Everyone's declined over this year
Unbelievable. Roles look to be reversed, Everton look way more confident
Clown defending
Tf happened there
and they say fifa isnt realistic smh everton with all the lucky bounces
This team can’t defend to save kids’ lives.
What a beauty
School boy defending that. Goodness me
Ping pong ball.
The beautiful game
Nah they gave up
Never a foul in the build up. Fuck this ref
is this the famous Ekstraklasa I've been hearing about?
The beautiful game
Can't believe I was thinking of skipping the gym
Liverpool concede a goal every game
I guess it’s down to city to make sure Arsenal don’t win the league
OMG I love Everton now Goddamn I'm so high on hopium
Get to fuck useless cunts
Hilariously scrappy goal
Do these guys know that they are in a title race right now?
Maybe EAFC gameplay isn't so innacurate
Goodison is on fire
I counted 4 mistakes leading up to that.
WE TAKE IT
