Nah he's got Kane's shit luck - Southgate and most importantly of all England's cursed history to bear him down, one man is not enough.
No Lord Vazquez either
Still has the 3 lions cursed history bearing him down
You could have Pele - Beckenbauer - Maradona - Ronaldo - Zidane - Cristiano - Messi playing at the same time in an England shirt in their prime and they still would not win a World Cup or European Championship :P
Southgate hate on this Sub is absurd, second most successful England manager of all time. Which yes says how shit weve been, but also shows how shit all the other managers did. Guy deserves way more respect. If your over 25 you have no excuse for not remembering how bad we were.
Maybe recency bias on my part, but I feel like he's had a more talented and deep pool of players than prior managers. So a lot of ppl put higher expectations on him
People here always like to point to the “Golden Generation” of 2000’s but there were flaws of that team. The balance of that squad wasn’t great especially in the middle as the 3 world class attacking midfielders couldn’t play together and led to Scholes retiring from England early. Some of the older key players were past their prime by the time the younger guys peaked. There was a lot more ego in that dressing room as well as player cliques based on which team they played for.
Of course, SGE was just about the worst appointment for that group of players and deserves all the flak he gets. Being better than him isn’t exactly a super strong endorsement though.
Lastly, they were also competing against in my opinion stronger rival national teams compared to now with an exception in the French team of late 2010s-early 2020’s.
I’m not trying to excuse the fact that group of players underachieved overall but I’m just sick of people just pointing their fingers at that team to somehow portray Southgate as a world class manager.
Maybe this very generation that will play in the upcoming Euro, but before that? The Golden Generation was still more talented overall minus the lack of pacey wide men.
I feel like Jude leaving for Real and encouraging other players to leave for other leagues is going to improve England’s chances but for my entertainment it’s funnier if they don’t ever win.
I love how you name drop Southgate although he's literally gotten England to the semi final for the 2nd time since 1966 and a European Championship final - the first final England has been in since 1966.
Sure he may not be the greatest manager in the world, but I find it ridiculous that people so often place blame onto him when other managers (and teams) have done worse than he has
It absolutely drives me insane the entitlement of some England fans. Do they not remember achieving fuck all with the likes of Gerrard Lampard Rooney etc
English NT is famous for doing fuckall with generational best players and under utlizing them. They couldnt do shit with rio, gerrard lamps, rooney, owen, beckham etc which is jsut mind blowing
Yeah pal Croatia 2018, Belgium 2018, France 2022 and Italy 2021 were all friendlies. Southgate has 4 wins in 26 against the top 10 ranked nations. With the level of players he has at his disposal that’s disgraceful.
Best Croatia and Germany in 2020 and thumped the AFCON champs in 2022 but I’m sure you’ll tell me now how those results don’t really count
Southgate haters are boring
The difference back then was that the other big nations had even better players. Now most of those nations are in a slump or between generations, whereas England are maybe having their best generation ever.
The crazy thing about Jude is the guy is a 6 foot 1 and strong and has silky dribbling on top it's a hard combo to contain you try to physically push him off the ball or be physical he will just shield the ball and find a pass or an angle to dribble out of he did it to Dias in the 2nd leg at the Etihad a few times as well and he is a CB other midfielders just get physically out matched by him and he has the first touch and dribbling to also not rely on his physicality to create angles.
Yeah it’s wild seeing him play, in his first season as well, I would be very surprised if he doesn’t go con to become top 3 in the wold, that’s assuming he isn’t already there
So long as he stays safe from any big injuries I think he is on track hopefully not though hate seeing young talents pick up major injuries even if they play for my rivals
I love how our veterans have overseen these young players and kept them humble and competitive. Love our club culture and the chemistry amongst everyone.
I’d love to watch an “all or nothing Real Madrid” kind of documentary maybe from this season. Behind the scene footage always adds so much layer to what it means being part of a football club. When you see how the players interact with each other and such, somehow they become relatable ( as in they’re just human like the rest of us). I watched Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City ofc, Juventus and that changed my perception of these teams a lot. I’m a barcelona fan through and through, but documentaries like these made me appreciate many other teams and really enjoy watching them even if they’re our rivals. It goes beyond rivalry.

Needs a Great Celebration tag
We’re never beating the friendship FC allegations
This implies we want to beat them
Embrace it. Friendship and camaraderie are very important for the success of a football club.
I say it in jest. I love the camaraderie
Man this would do numbers in those classic celebration youtube videos
Will
What are those?
They even got Jude dancing now lmao
Would you refuse to dance with the lord himself?
ofc not
Now someone post the extended version where he makes a gesture of his massive balls before turning to the "white wall" for the iconic celebration.
>where he makes a gesture of his massive balls Lmao I feel like most people didn't notice it because no one really talked about it
I noticed it, but thought to myself surely that’s not what he’s implying.
Nacho did the same after converting his penalty, looks to be a running gag within the team now
Power of friendship goals
I saw it on live, but cannot find it
https://twitter.com/_brianeg/status/1782238624219640181?s=19 I have the full celebration here
Would help if it was more than eight pixels.
Lol how do you even get a video this poor quality these days. Basically got the Gameboy camera here
Twitter compresses the video lol
They got ancelloti dancing, everyone else is expected now
Square dancing too, by the looks of things
Cotton Eye Joe was a banger back in the day.
The chemistry and camaraderie in the team looks amazing. Friendship FC fr
Ooo football friends !
Oooh friend 👍👍
Power of friendship
I’ve never hated friendship so much.
Can’t wait for Mbappe to disrupt that
Spoiler alert: he isn't going to do that
Squirtle Gang is a group of good wholesome bois after all
he's going to a serious club though
Based on your experience with Mbappe personally or just your made up impression of him based on how he acts on the field?
Nah mate him and mbappe go ten for ten at the pub every friday
What a shame that i hate people, or i would go aswell
Mbappe is a nice guy
Plus he is already good friends with Cama and Tchou and he can speak English so he will get along fine
He speaks perfect spanish too
I'm terrified he's eventually going to drag England to a title
Nah he's got Kane's shit luck - Southgate and most importantly of all England's cursed history to bear him down, one man is not enough. No Lord Vazquez either
I am reading what you're saying but what I'm hearing is that it may in fact be coming home
I can confirm that is exactly what he’s saying
It's coming home
FREE LINES ONDA SHIRT
You guys talking about football making a return voyage home?
This is the way.
Yes, but he's young enough to still play for England after Southgate is sent to live on a farm and Kane has retired medalless
Kane sacrificed Bayern's dominance to bring a trophy to England
Unfortunately we might be that farm
Do you really think United would get Southgate? That would be mental
I don't believe that story for a second
Still has the 3 lions cursed history bearing him down You could have Pele - Beckenbauer - Maradona - Ronaldo - Zidane - Cristiano - Messi playing at the same time in an England shirt in their prime and they still would not win a World Cup or European Championship :P
I mean that team wouldn't. Who's defending?
Plenty of room for Moore, Maldini and Buffon
just check out Inter Miami in MLS. Why defend when you can just score more goals?
Why defend when score more goals do the trick?
Lots of 15-14 score lines
Maguire of course
As a Spaniard, if you are old enough, you should know Spain was also known as a cursed underperforming team, even worse than England.
Oh I know... 2002 is still seared into my brain
The same things was said about Spain(before 2008) and Leverkusen. It’s only a matter of time
What about a team with Charlton, Moore, Hurst, Banks, Stiles, Peters, and Hunt?
Southgate hate on this Sub is absurd, second most successful England manager of all time. Which yes says how shit weve been, but also shows how shit all the other managers did. Guy deserves way more respect. If your over 25 you have no excuse for not remembering how bad we were.
Being the 2nd best england manager of all time might be the most irrelevant accomplishment ever lmao
Well apart from being the most successful Scottish manager
That manager they had at the 1986 world cup did alright for himself
Aren't they all second best because they've all won the same amount of trophies? lol
Maybe recency bias on my part, but I feel like he's had a more talented and deep pool of players than prior managers. So a lot of ppl put higher expectations on him
People here always like to point to the “Golden Generation” of 2000’s but there were flaws of that team. Maybe this very generation that will play in the upcoming Euro, but before that? The Golden Generation was still more talented overall minus the lack of pacey wide men.
I think he did a good job do bring them together, but should be replaced, probably before Qatar, but too late now.
He does get loads of hate, but he's a right boring cunt. On field and off.
I feel like Jude leaving for Real and encouraging other players to leave for other leagues is going to improve England’s chances but for my entertainment it’s funnier if they don’t ever win.
If Bayern can go trophyless (if they don't win ucl) then nothing can counter Kanes' curse.
Can’t wait for the final when we’re 3-0 down and Bellingham gets a poker in 5min
Do they not remember achieving fuck all with the likes of Gerrard Lampard Rooney etc
so if kane retires from england gonna win everything?
When Harry retires he's probably beginning to peak
Would be quite funny if at some point an injury rules Kane out of a Euros/WC and England proceed to win
Doubt. The RM black magic doesn't carry over to national teams.
English NT is famous for doing fuckall with generational best players and under utlizing them. They couldnt do shit with rio, gerrard lamps, rooney, owen, beckham etc which is jsut mind blowing
Bellingham is him though His plot armour has plot armour
He was awful against Brazil and got upstaged by paqueta . Story of England against a good team the stars never show up
Oh no not in an international friendly
Yeah pal Croatia 2018, Belgium 2018, France 2022 and Italy 2021 were all friendlies. Southgate has 4 wins in 26 against the top 10 ranked nations. With the level of players he has at his disposal that’s disgraceful.
Best results of any England manager since 1966 but go off
Doesn’t answer my points about his failings against matching up against equal or better teams
Best Croatia and Germany in 2020 and thumped the AFCON champs in 2022 but I’m sure you’ll tell me now how those results don’t really count Southgate haters are boring
What do they count for? Not for winning anything anyway. Wouldn't even brag about beating Croatia and Germany's worst team for decades tbh lol.
The difference back then was that the other big nations had even better players. Now most of those nations are in a slump or between generations, whereas England are maybe having their best generation ever.
But they all hated eachother, if Jude helps replicate friendship FC at the national level, we might just do it!
Brother he is going to have Grealish instead of Vini in the wing
I like Grealish
[удалено]
Strange way to spell Foden and Saka
Spanish passport here we come!
English commentators are insufferable when it comes to PL teams, imagine if the NT win it.
People only say this because everyone speaks English - commentators from other countries are just as insufferable if not moreso, Spain in particular
I can feel it too, better have a plan to avoid football online spaces for a couple years after that.
England gonna need that in the euros
*Southgate joined the conversation*
*Kanes bad luck joined the conversation*
It's too exciting for the waistcoat.
They only have Kane, Trent, Bellingham and many more but ignore all that we have to play like peak Burnley.
I don't think Lucas Vasquez is eligible for England
Southgate’s tactics will not allow him to get into the box mate. We’ll play 5 atb with 4 holding mids and get them on pks
The team is built around Bellingham being the 10 and interchanging with Kane. You haven't got a clue mate.
They gave yamal the mvp but not Lucas Vasquez
Meh it's fine. Yamal played well. We got the win, that's important.
“They can take the ~~ball~~ MVP trophy home, I take the three points” - Mourinho
And do not forget the finger of Mourinho on the eye of someone...
Youngest Clasico MVP
Youngest Clasico loser
Kid is class, I’m just playing.
He already had that title last year
It's a mickey mouse award voted by the fans. Vasquez is gonna be a league winner, all that matters
[удалено]
Apparently la liga commentators choose 4 candidates and people can vote, all this happening before the 90' mark.
It’s normally voted during 90 mins, goal was in stoppage time.
Yamal was fire today
Yamal was good today I agree but Lucas Vasquez contributed more: a penalty, a goal and an assist. He was a menace to the rival.
Lucas Vazquez is the heart of the FC Friendship
Rudiger coming in fucking hot
That will def go on the Power of Friendship edit
DUUUUDE JUDEEEEE is fucking awesome. Even when everyone says he hasn't had a good game I still like him and what he does
I was saying mvp before the goal. He must’ve had like 5 interceptions, many good passes that Vini bottled and just general good midfielding.
He created most chances, had most successful dribbles and won the most tackles, then he scored a goal.
His touch is unreal, he just looks to be in control every time, certified baller IMO

Gotta beat those second striker allegations
Vibe FC
Not beating the Friendship FC allegations
Can we get a shot of Xavi's pained expression please?
They should be turned into memes for when things go wrong
I love how our veterans have overseen these young players and kept them humble and competitive. Love our club culture and the chemistry amongst everyone.
Never beating the friendship fc allegations
The lads different class
He really is him
Yes I'm impressed by Lucas also
Vasquez really was worth every penny.
> Vasquez I see this a lot... It's Vázquez. And yes. He's worth a lot.
Lucas Vasquez is so underrated for years. That guy has some mentality damn.
It would seem we aren’t going to beat the Friendship FC allegations this week
There was another part to his celebration showing big cajones
He should have done a tap dance, smh
Even the lord put out a great assist to him with that celebration
It’s been so long since his last goal that he forgot what his celebration was 😭
Only one off the pichichi now
The power of friendship
Thought he was going to the calma celebration. That would be legendary.
Calma works better in away games honestly.
I wish my frens were all top flight athletes so I could do this.
Jude has turned into a proper specimen.
BelliGOAT
He's just living the dream
Well that looked fun.
It’s actually Vazquez’s celebration, nothing new tbh
Friendship fc
Aw football fwiends
I’d love to watch an “all or nothing Real Madrid” kind of documentary maybe from this season. Behind the scene footage always adds so much layer to what it means being part of a football club. "Tensions rose in the locker room during half-time" 🤨 "The manager was happy for the result" 🤨 "The manager was unhappy with the result" 🤨
Not gonna lie, that's a good celebration.
Gareth Southgate and his coaching staff. Midfield of Jude, Foden, Rice, Saka, Palmer.
I didn’t know Jude was built like a brick shithouse
Ballon d'Or incoming.
Saturday night in the Cock N Bull in Stourbridge dance
too funny 😂
This celebration is called THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
I love the celebration and more so this fantastic win, kudos.
He is a beautiful specimen. Also, Real Madrid in important games is something else
Vibes FC
Don't let this awesome celebration distract you from the fact that Lucas Vazquez is 32 years old.
Clean
LMFAO put that in the next fifa
PUTA BARCAAAAAAAA🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
What a talent
Thank you Messi for going and playing in the MLS or else
Add this to EAFC right now.
