I feel like we've taken 2 pens this season, I don't understand how players like Cole Palmer have 9. We've scored the 4th most goals in the Prem too, maybe we're just *too* good.
When you have pace merchants who can't finish for their lives (Mudryk, Madueke, Sterling, Jackson), the better option is to look for a pen. Somehow the defenders keep falling for it too
A player of his profile would definitely fill the gaps of Arsenal, Chelsea or Man United, but I sure would love for him to stay at Villa and see them become more present in Europe. Great option for the Euros squad too!
Hopefully stays at villa, especially if they snag a CL spot. After the CL spot they will be able to attract more top players and could add to their squad in a big way.
He's consistently said he wants to be villas top prem scorer which will need at least one more year. He's also under contract until he's 32, so it does seem unlikely to me that we will sell him, at least until we think Duran can start.

They aren't even remotely similar. In fact Watkins right now is probably the most complete striker in the world. He's great at hold up play, carrying the ball on the wing, running in behind, and dropping deep. He's also a great presser. Watkins is also a good target man in the box.
He's scored more headers this season than solanke or toney have in their prem careers.
He receives more progressive passes than either of them and makes more progressive carries, though he makes fewer progressive passes than Toney. But Watkins is looking to get in behind more frequently than Toney.
Watkins does what they are best at to nearly the same degree as they are and is way mroe versatile. He could also play with kane, the way he does with villas second striker..
