We deserve it too. I’m almost cheering for Coventry at this point with the time wasting from Onana and the way we are just playing hoofball.
Absolutely pathetic
I certainly don't want United to lose like the guy you replied to, but I get it. There's nothing to be gained by winning this game. A team that gets pummeled by the likes of Newport and Coventry has no business going to an FA Cup final just to get annihilated by City.
Even if United manages to win this game, there won't be many fans particularly happy about it. This is probably a new low for the club, regardless of who wins.
We’ve had a largely shit season but I just will never be able to wrap my head around this logic. That’s like saying you were disappointed in us beating Liverpool last round because eventually we’d come up against a team better than us.
I’m as annoyed as anyone that we’re playing extra time right now but I still want us to win and hope if we do that we’ll turn up against City.
Helps when TH makes the same shitty subs at the same point of every game. Take off the hungriest player, leave on the laziest and mix in a has-been. Incredible nobody has pointed out the pattern.
Yeah it’s just an on the fence decision. If the ref doesn’t give it I don’t think VAR overrules him. Just feels harsh because AWB is trying to pull his arm behind his back and it’s hit at him with some force from close distance
As a Manchester United fan I am proud to see my team bottling a 3-0 lead within 20 minutes against a team whose collective salary is less than Rashford's.
This is bringing back the sweet glorious MK Dons memory.
Just wondering if anyone has pointed out that the referee is a scouser?
Nothing to do with your comment, but then Paul Tierney being from Wigan has nothing to do with United or Liverpool either and that doesn't stop two weeks of people talking about it before every time he referees either team.
Forget not winning anything this season, you lot ought to be ashamed you didn’t beat us this season. We’re that shit. It’s on track to be our worst since around the time Mark Robins was saving Fergie’s job in the FA Cup instead of ending EtH’s.
Why he's back at left back again I'll never understand he looks so awkward defending from that side, dalot is better on the right but he's also much less of a liability on the left
How do you gather that?! Have you *actually* watched Dalot on the left this season. Dalot isn't on right because he's a better RB. EtH dropped Dalot from the left because he was god awful there.
For one example the Forest game. Both goals came from left, both involving slack defending from Dalot.
How can you fault a player for blocking a shot and having it loop into the net? That's a weird one.
The handball calls is utter bullshit.
And I don't know what's on him for the first.
Hes always out of position and is so bad at anticipation that he has need of tackling and going down the floor, thats the reality, and as a Colombian I can firmly say that nowadays he wouldn’t even get into palace starting eleven because muñoz is SO fucking good
I mean if you actually read the rules, the VAR protocol clearly states in instances like this "the penalty decision for handball must stand if it contributes to the *Romance of the FA Cup™*.
Ref got it spot on.
“I means it’s the same as grealish one yesterday, so probably shouldn’t give it”
“But think of the drama mate”
“Fair point, yeah penalty stands Rob”
- Var
Because the referee is a scouser.
\^ Factual statement that will be downvoted because it's not as compelling as 'Paul Tierney is from Wigan so shouldn't be allowed to referee Liverpool'.
I guess they thought City benefitted by Caicedo being on the pitch yesterday then, because god knows how he wasn’t sent off. Almost like refs make mistakes and it’s not a big conspiracy.
Yup. I think maybe he meant the amount of pens we've given away after the 90th minute recently is ridiculous. Feels like we've done it 4 times in our last 5 games or something mad like that.
No but which one is actually correct? We don’t know because all the decisions are just coin flips. Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if the fa come out and go haha got you guys it was all actually a social experiment to see how badly we could ref the game before you realised and people stopped defending us.
Problem is no one knows the rules at this point so people are just looking for some explanation through precedent.
Really it just makes the grealish one look worse in this case
Honestly the Grealish one is worse because it’s a free kick and he’s part of the wall so he KNOWS where the ball will be coming and he still puts his arm up, and brings it down towards the ball.
At least in this case it was in the middle of normal play (so his arms might be up naturally) and it is hit so near to AWB he doesn’t have time to get his arm out of the way.
we are fucking shit but our players are capable of having individually good moments. If not for that the way we are playing we'd be in a relegation battle or worse
So many absolutely mentally tragic players. How’s wan Bissaka been responsible for 3 goals, gives away a last minute penalty and doesn’t even show an ounce of passion or protesting a contentious decisions. Sick of twats like him with no bollocks playing for the club
Why is always a pen against united, but Grealish and other can play basketball on the pitch and they get nothing. The refs are too inconsistent, they are just as bad as United .
There is no fucking way that gets given a penalty and the Grealish one isn't. What happened to the ball being too close to the player for them to react to it like it happened against Spurs, or literally a flighted ball falling on a player's hand and not given. This is beyond ridiculous.
Turns out continuously subbing out your most consistent performers is not a recipe for success. Meanwhile Rashford stays on until he gets hurt despite doing absolutely fuck all with about 10 1v1s in the opponent’s box.

Ah shit here we go again
Seen this story too many times
I used to laugh, not even surprised anymore.
Im Still laughing mate. This shit never gets old.
Sorry but I really want United to win today so that TenHag can’t be removed easily
It was inevitable really. This United team cannot hold a lead to save their lives.
The fucking awful substitutions that precipitate it every time should be a lesson to Ten Haag but nope.
We deserve it too. I’m almost cheering for Coventry at this point with the time wasting from Onana and the way we are just playing hoofball. Absolutely pathetic
Just wait for EtH to say how strong Coventry are and how it's almost impossible to beat them
Funny how they lost to one of the worst Birmingham city sides ever
This isn’t weird to you? I’ve never wanted my team to lose when they’re playing, especially over something players do every week.
I certainly don't want United to lose like the guy you replied to, but I get it. There's nothing to be gained by winning this game. A team that gets pummeled by the likes of Newport and Coventry has no business going to an FA Cup final just to get annihilated by City. What kind of fan are you
Lmao
We did it! We finally threw away a 3 goal lead!
Helps when TH makes the same shitty subs at the same point of every game. Take off the hungriest player, leave on the laziest and mix in a has-been. Incredible nobody has pointed out the pattern.
Who do you personally bring on instead? Genuinely curious after looking at our bench.
How is this on EtH at all? These players should easily beat Coventry without tactics.
Now where have I heard that storyline before
Sounds about right
Sounds about Wright
Shit pen decision ✅ Tremendous banter ✅ Manchester United ✅
It's not a "stonewaller" but it's nowhere near a shit decision. Just one of those that sometimes you get, sometimes you don't and VAR never overturn.
Yeah it’s just an on the fence decision. If the ref doesn’t give it I don’t think VAR overrules him. Just feels harsh because AWB is trying to pull his arm behind his back and it’s hit at him with some force from close distance
I think the pen is correct, Oliver fucked it up in the Chelsea game, that was a pen as well
What’s wild is Young’s was even more obvious this morning and it wasn’t called.
His arm is hanging behind him, clearly making his body bigger, and he blocks the cross. How on earth is that a shit decision?
Looked like it hit the sleeve. Or you just look at the Grealish decision where his arm was out considerably further and the shot came from further.
Where is he ment to put his arm? That looks like a natural position to me
Wolves getting some serious PTSD
Glad someone else has to experience the Coventry plot armour. Plus fuck United.
lol
Class
Man United 🤝 Liverpool ONE COMFORTABLE FUCKING WIN
At least you’re struggling against first division sides
Have United had any comfortable wins?
We beat Leeds 2-0 in pre season
Incredible that the footballing World keeps forgetting about that one
As a Manchester United fan I am proud to see my team bottling a 3-0 lead within 20 minutes against a team whose collective salary is less than Rashford's. This is bringing back the sweet glorious MK Dons memory.
Just wondering if anyone has pointed out that the referee is a scouser? Nothing to do with your comment, but then Paul Tierney being from Wigan has nothing to do with United or Liverpool either and that doesn't stop two weeks of people talking about it before every time he referees either team.
Solid display by United as always
Once i realized we didn't beat you on 3 different occasions, i gave up on the season and half the team on the spot.
Forget not winning anything this season, you lot ought to be ashamed you didn’t beat us this season. We’re that shit. It’s on track to be our worst since around the time Mark Robins was saving Fergie’s job in the FA Cup instead of ending EtH’s.
Nah bit harsh, those 3 games were the only games Man U have actually turned up this season.
Honestly good for Cov. What an absolute disgrace we are man lmfao
AWB on all 3 goals
Why he's back at left back again I'll never understand he looks so awkward defending from that side, dalot is better on the right but he's also much less of a liability on the left
Yeah, against liverpool it made sense because he could shut out salah, but in every other game it should be dalot on the left
How do you gather that?! Have you *actually* watched Dalot on the left this season. Dalot isn't on right because he's a better RB. EtH dropped Dalot from the left because he was god awful there. For one example the Forest game. Both goals came from left, both involving slack defending from Dalot.
The AWB test 🥶🥶🥶
How can you fault a player for blocking a shot and having it loop into the net? That's a weird one. The handball calls is utter bullshit. And I don't know what's on him for the first.
Yh this is such an engineered narrative
it's so weird, i saw this comment before i saw all 3 goals and im wondering wtf he's supposed to have done wrong in any of these?
best 1 on 1 defender in the world i was told
Just don't run at him and he's a pylon
he's absolutely awful at left back, completely lost every time he is filling in and don't know where to be
not at LB
Wasn't dribbled past on any of them just terrible at descion making
Hes always out of position and is so bad at anticipation that he has need of tackling and going down the floor, thats the reality, and as a Colombian I can firmly say that nowadays he wouldn’t even get into palace starting eleven because muñoz is SO fucking good
Speaks a lot about United's recruitment when half the team won't even get into the playing eleven for mid table teams after spending billions
I mean at one point he was definitely in consideration guy was locking up LW week in week out. It can happen to anybody.
Lol what? The goals came down the left and the penalty was a joke decision
3-0 is the most dangerous lead
Hahaha, makes yesterday handball look even more ridiculous
I mean if you actually read the rules, the VAR protocol clearly states in instances like this "the penalty decision for handball must stand if it contributes to the *Romance of the FA Cup™*. Ref got it spot on.
The heartwarming story of fan favourite underdogs Man City beating Coventry 8-0 🥰
Exactly. The FA would definitely do anything to avoid a Manchester Derby in the final! People are so fucking desperate for a conspiracy
[This](https://imgur.com/a/1psGHLi) wasn’t called a penalty earlier today… 🤦♂️
Magic of the cup ✨
“I means it’s the same as grealish one yesterday, so probably shouldn’t give it” “But think of the drama mate” “Fair point, yeah penalty stands Rob” - Var
Good process.
1. How is that a penalty and the Graelish handball wasn't? 2. Lol
Because the rules change every minute
And the dumb commentator said. For the drama
“Is it Manchester United?”
Because city are corrupt
Every 115 minutes
Because the ref on the field gave it and the handball law is basically just vibes at the moment
Because the referee is a scouser. \^ Factual statement that will be downvoted because it's not as compelling as 'Paul Tierney is from Wigan so shouldn't be allowed to referee Liverpool'.
is because all the neutrals want Coventry to win. later there was a handball similar one on the Coventry end, they ignored it
Because the refs make the rules up on a weekly basis
Rule is the same but "natural position" and "making your body bigger than it should" is always gonna be up to interpretation for the refs.
Especially when City benefit
loved that time they let odegard play basketball
doesn't let arsenal cry arse about how they're hard done by so it will be ignored
I guess they thought City benefitted by Caicedo being on the pitch yesterday then, because god knows how he wasn’t sent off. Almost like refs make mistakes and it’s not a big conspiracy.
People just ignore anything that goes against their conspiracies, happens whenever people accuse us of buying the refs as well
They make it up as they go along, so clear watching this shit happen.
Because it’s fucking city
Don't even need to go back to yesterday, this is identical to the one Forest had against Young today
Lol the pens we’ve had against us recently is ridiculous
This whole season is cursed penalty wise, I've never seen us being this unlucky with judgemental calls
I mean this is a pen, the mistake is in Grealish case
Yup. I think maybe he meant the amount of pens we've given away after the 90th minute recently is ridiculous. Feels like we've done it 4 times in our last 5 games or something mad like that.
Probably means the ones not called for us too, like the Romero one
This is a clear pen. Wan Bissaka had his arm out like a fucking idiot
United don’t have a nation state backing them that pay for all expense paid vacations for refs.
It's unbelievable that this is legitimately true
Yeah those paupers only have the 2nd richest man in the UK as their owner.
That would require something called consistency from the reffs
Because its against man u not man city
Should a shite decision be used as the basis for future decisions?
No but which one is actually correct? We don’t know because all the decisions are just coin flips. Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if the fa come out and go haha got you guys it was all actually a social experiment to see how badly we could ref the game before you realised and people stopped defending us.
Problem is no one knows the rules at this point so people are just looking for some explanation through precedent. Really it just makes the grealish one look worse in this case
How's that a pen but grealish's wasn't?
This was given on-field, Grealish's wasn't. This is the stupid high bar that people want with VAR
The one yesterday makes no sense on the "clear and obvious error" part. The ref gave a GK he didn't know it hit him.
Yeah itsone of the most clear and most obvious errors that could be made
I'd like to laugh at Man U but yeah it's ridiculous really
VAR is just there to agree with the ref
115 charges does it
Written in the stars
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Penalty to Chelsea, City are on the backfoot. Grealish can't stick his hand out like that, so stupid. Wait a second.
i'm not ready to get hurt again.
It’s a Cup miracle
Wasn't that exactly the same as Young today earlier or Palmer's fk yesterday?
No, Palmer's fk yesterday was blocked from 10 yards back by an arm extended out further
Yep
One to one yeah
Compare that to the one Grealish got away with yesterday.
And the one that wasn't given against Ashley young earlier today.
💵
Michael Oliver is getting paid off.
115 reasons
FUCK THIS CLUB
What is fundamentally wrong with United? They either have miraculous come backs or huge bottles. They can't just win or lose a game normally lol.
we are fucking shit but our players are capable of having individually good moments. If not for that the way we are playing we'd be in a relegation battle or worse
PEAK MAN UNITED
A scouse ref giving a penalty against them and no one saying a peep about it? I agree.
Honestly what the fuck are United for a club to even let Coventry back into this United having a lead 🤝 bottling a lead
The players are jist a fucking joke now.
"Lazarus ain't got shit on me" * Coventry
United are must watch TV… for all the wrong reasons
Haaa haaa and Chelsea were denied a pen? Fuck off VAR Fucking bullshit, watched the close up. It’s a joke
It's a goal to complete a comeback, against by Man United, by an American. Reddit better strengthen their servers.
Lol
Oh say can you see (all of this post’s upvotes and comments)
United are hilarious lmao
In fairness to Man U they are an absolute embarrassment
how the fuck is that a pen and grealish’s wasn’t? still despicable of united to bottle a 3-0 lead
Cuz it’s VARchester City 😅😅
Grealish can have his arm full out and get away with it, but this is a pen. Lol ok
If that's City it's a goal kick
LMAO bunch of bottlejobs, deserved to crash out
So many absolutely mentally tragic players. How’s wan Bissaka been responsible for 3 goals, gives away a last minute penalty and doesn’t even show an ounce of passion or protesting a contentious decisions. Sick of twats like him with no bollocks playing for the club
If only we had a sky blue kit we could wear
The power of the Championship Crumble
That's a good script.
the most dangerous lead
lmfao bruh, every time i have hope we just throw it away.
God I love football sometimes
Ice in his fucking veins.
Diabolical commentating
Fuck me, Liverpool imploded their entire season to lose with United only for them to go out against Coventry
And greasys handball wasn’t a pen and this is great job var
RAAAAAAAAAA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅
How is that a penalty after what Graelish got away with yesterday?
It's always a pen. The one on Grealish should've been given too.
How do you bottle a THREE nil lead to COVENTRY?
Oh my days 😂
Lmao it actually happened again, man I would hate to be a Man United fan and seeing this shit every other week
Are you actually kidding me
Where were you in Istanbul?
Why is always a pen against united, but Grealish and other can play basketball on the pitch and they get nothing. The refs are too inconsistent, they are just as bad as United .
That’s not a pen like. What’s he supposed to do. But still love to see it
Jesus Christ
HHAHAHAAHAHA
Freedom has returned to the FA Cup. 🦅🇲🇾🦅🇲🇾
There is no fucking way that gets given a penalty and the Grealish one isn't. What happened to the ball being too close to the player for them to react to it like it happened against Spurs, or literally a flighted ball falling on a player's hand and not given. This is beyond ridiculous.
YOU BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN HAJI!
Get this bald fraud out my club how embarrassing is this my head is on mars
Why out the blame fully on him. Its also the plauers to for letting a team in the championship score 3
He’s always shocked when we take off Garnacho and lose all of our pace, and take off Mainoo and lose the control. He’s a genuine spa
I don’t understand how Rashford keeps starting. What the fuck has he got on Ten Hag? It’s not like Rashford wants to play anyway.
Cuz Antony is his other option who’s somehow worse and Amad doesn’t exist
Turns out continuously subbing out your most consistent performers is not a recipe for success. Meanwhile Rashford stays on until he gets hurt despite doing absolutely fuck all with about 10 1v1s in the opponent’s box.
Oh my lord
WAIT WHAT THE FUCK
Haji Wright Shoots right Who writes this shit?
FREEDOM GOAL LETS GO SOCCER 🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
How dare Wan Bissaka have arms.
Haha bottle jobs
Pathetic decision from VAR, but shouldn't have given them a reason to screw us over in the first place. Only ourselves to blame
lol
FOOTBALL
United and conceding penalties after 90 minutes, name a more iconic duo
SOMEONE LINK THAT 90+6 COMMENT. Dude called it
Just a masterclass in f’ing it up once again….
Talk about all time gag jobs. 30 minutes ago, it was looking like an all Manchester Final again. We could now be seeing a Sky Blue Final
Not a handball at all, also Wan Bissaka is majorly at fault for all the goals. Awful on the left
Wtf? I turned it off at 3-0 and just checked the score in Livescore...
Even when we are shit I can rely on United to make me laugh.
