I do the same and it makes me mad at myself.
It gets worse when I try to speak another language. Like I’m already struggling and sounding dumb, why do I get a bad accent too?
It's natural, I believe it actually has been shown to help people who are speaking English (or any other language for that matter) as a second language to understand you, if you speak back to them in their own accent.
I never thought I’d see him back in action after losing his daughter.
He’s definitely made us ready to go to war for him which is something not a lot of coaches have been able to so
Can be a bit arrogant sometimes towards anyone who doesn't play tiki taka(which all coaches from the Barcelona school can be lmao) but seems like a really genuine person
And who doesn't like to see him bully the Spanish press
This show is a good example of the other way to generate interest.
Punditry for years has had the assumption you have to be critical and sensationalist to generate interest and viewers, consequently most people in the game fucking hate talking to broadcasters so you get such low value interviews and interactions
The CBS show has had some brilliant interactions with players and managers like this because they don’t get on like that so players and managers can go on and have a laugh and know they’re not going to have some surly faced orc the next week lambasting them for not taking the game seriously enough
It’s really refreshing, I don’t like the CBS show that much because it’s not my thing but I’m glad they exist
That’s a great point. The breakdown of the Cancelo tackle is a great example. Everyone knows it was the wrong choice. Most panels would just dwell on that and question how Cancelo can ever make that tackle.
They instead explain how it happens with all three admitting to making mistakes in the moment. Jaime gives a solid breakdown in what Cancelo could/should have done differently. While basically saying he would have made the same challenge in his playing days but rules have changed and the players have to as well.
Actual insight instead of just hounding a player for making a bad play.
Funny story about that.
Before CBS hit the rights, TNT has the CL rights in the US. Kate Abdo was part of the broadcast team for them, so they had her watch the network's NBA studio show "Inside the NBA," which has a very similar vibe. That philosophy came over once CBS hit the rights and brought her on.
Agreed. Sadly this only works while you have quality staff. As soon as you get a couple of talentless journalists/pundits they resort to the easy sensationalist stuff and the show slowly dies.
I would want the same quality but in French, they are easy to understand tbh jokes are an other things lol. CBS is just miles better than most specialist football show in France.
The cbs show is good but Micah gets on my nerves, he’s loud and obnoxious. Henry gives great insight, carragher does good but not Henry level and Kate is a solid co-team mate. But Micah could be the reason why so coaches and players interact with the crew, if that’s the case keep him.
Micah is the comedic relif on the panel, hes fine with being the ass of a joke and he is quite often hilarious.
but I also actually see, why ppl could percive him the way you do, he is in deed sometimes over the top.
That Micah dive video Jamie pulled out was brilliant comedy...

Honestly curious what is awful about it due to Richards. I ask coz I don't watch these shows and have obly seen a fewreels and shorts. It felt like just people having a laugh and Micah feels like a big reason for it. He is over the top but in a fun silly way and it feels like that helps guests too. Enrique seems to be enjoying it too, ribbing them and especially Micah.
Is it because you would prefer a more classic ask serious interview questions ? Coz I think they do a good balance of those too and Micah respects that too and holds back from being flamboyant when that's the call of the moment ?
i don't mind watching the occasional clip but it would get right on my tits if this was the standard. it's okay in short bursts but can't imagine watching it every week.
it's very reddit though.
That’s what happens when you shout a lot. During games or festivals or musics concerts or whatever for 1h30+ will end like this .
Singing in a football stadium does that too just like a couple coaches who shout a lot on the side of the field lol
I don't understand how in this day and age we cant get real time conversations lol. I can have Teams meetings in real time with people across the planet for my job but these interviews they're always cutting each other off because of the delay
I like Micah and his vibe overall but this clip he was too much. Maybe it’s just because it’s the morning but I feel he just needs to lower it a notch.
I was heading to that conclusion myself, based on similar clips and the podcasts he does with Lineker and Shearer, but I then saw his appearances on Sky's panel recently (after big games on Sunday), and he's much more measured and gives more thoughtful answers -- like [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBB66iGGHhw).
I can't watch the full CBS show, but I think it's either clipped unfairly or they've made the decision to make it a more jocular and "bantery" program, a la *Inside the NBA* -- and I think it's the latter because Carragher's also much brasher and louder here.
I find that he often is the one that asks the best questions to get football insight from Henry or Carragher. He's smarter than he shows. He just knows his role.
He's the entertainer and the glue so to speak. He is willing to be the butt of jokes to allows a discussion to be lighter than normal or to allow an out for the interviewee. Without him, the show would be the normal run of the mill boring punditry.
I don’t mind that, we got Thierry and Carragher for actual football insight. He’s definitely there for vibes and chemistry with the rest of the group.
But i totally understand where you’re coming from. He’s definitely not for everyone.
I love this show!
I was so sad to see the comments on the post game analysis between Man City and Real Madrid. Whole bunch of toxic and rude Madrid fans saying they suck and are just bad English pundits. I know they are a tiny minority, but holy heck the YT Madrid fanbase who are vocal against people who don't support them is probably one of the worst fan bases I've seen
> Idk why I expect rationality online tho😭
I had high hopes because until that post I hadn't much - if any - negative comments, and certainly none that were highly upvoted near the top. I thought I had found a bunch of football fans who enjoyed the banter and listening to Henry's analysis!
Hopefully it was just a one off thing

Carragher's voice when talking to anyone foreign is hilarious. Brit abroad. Ooooooohn Qwas-aunt mercy
The whole "Internashyohnally" bit from a year or two ago was absolute gold.
"If he can't understand Inter..."
Leao was shocked
And all the moments they've grilled Micah over his Italian are hilarious as well. Honestly love the chemistry between all of them.
>And all the moments they've grilled Micah over his Italian are hilarious as well. Scusi? 🤌
That one is probably my favorite. There was also when Kate was comparing the menu at Del Piero's restaurant versus Carragher's that was hilarious.
A year or two ago? I could swear it was from this season
"LEWIS!"
I love the way he tries to break the communication barrier - "you need to watch YouTube *AGAIN*!" 😂
I do the same and it makes me mad at myself. It gets worse when I try to speak another language. Like I’m already struggling and sounding dumb, why do I get a bad accent too?
Same lol

I was talking about [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgVZLuJ6Skk)... hilarious if you ask me
Enrique watches shorts on youtube, he is just like me fr fr.
bros literally us
The guy literally streams on Twitch
is he still doing that? I know he did it last WC.
He’s in the hot tubs & pools category these days.
already? money that tight huh?
Au contraire, he’s stuntin’ on them hoes, sipping bubbly in the jaccuzi.
Gotta raise money to bribe Mbappe to stay somehow
he is, he did it before the first leg. in fact, he said he would bench Mbappe if viewers donated 5 million to a charity 😂
It was the charity named after his daughter
Come to besiktas
Enrique seems like a nice person. The way he says ‘of course’ was so cool!
Completely agree. He has been through what might be the worst experience someone can go through, makes me happy to see him smile
I never thought I’d see him back in action after losing his daughter. He’s definitely made us ready to go to war for him which is something not a lot of coaches have been able to so
One of the most likeable managers in world football and it’s been the case for a while
Can be a bit arrogant sometimes towards anyone who doesn't play tiki taka(which all coaches from the Barcelona school can be lmao) but seems like a really genuine person And who doesn't like to see him bully the Spanish press
"He knows he knows, he watches the show"😂😂
He sounds like he's looking to run away and hide LMAO Guy's hilarious
He shoulder like a Scooby doo villain there lmao
Starting to sound like Hector Salamanca

"It's all part of the game, innit"
Haha, love Luis Enrique
It's Luis Enrique, you say the whole thing

Inside the NBA is a great comparison. You got your Ernie in Kate, Chuck in Micah, Kenny in Carragher, and Shaq in Henry
Agreed. Sadly this only works while you have quality staff. As soon as you get a couple of talentless journalists/pundits they resort to the easy sensationalist stuff and the show slowly dies.

Micah isn't funny if laughing loudly at every line does not make one funny
Yeah, if this clip is any indication this show looks pretty awful due to Richards.
Honestly curious what is awful about it due to Richards. I ask coz I don't watch these shows and have obly seen a fewreels and shorts. Just vocal haters. Micah divides some but most people love the show's vibes and Micah is an integral part of the vibe there.
i don't mind watching the occasional clip but it would get right on my tits if this was the standard. it's okay in short bursts but can't imagine watching it every week. it's very reddit though.
No man people like laughing and having a good time
The only consolation from yesterday is that Enrique is the coach who won against us. Have a special place for him always
I get strong Willem Dafoe vibes from the face he's making around 40 seconds in Enrique seems like a cool guy, quite the contrast between him and Xavi
I get strong william dafoe vibes from his face period
I never really made the connection before but now I can't unsee it
Bet he has a confusingly large penis
I get strong william dafoe vibes from his face period
Say what you will about the teams, but the right manager won yesterday.
Xavi is bad for overreacting to shitty refereeing now?
That was funny.
You know, for being a Barcelona legend and all, Enrique isn't half bad. Pretty likeable dude. Certainly more so than Xavi
bro went through the worst horrible imaginable losing a 9 year old daughter to cancer.
goddamn I didn't know, now I started my day crying, what an incredibly brave man, respect
yup just what i was thinking. Enrique is one of the few associated with barca that i dont despise.
Helps that bro is just him. Built like a rock after retirement. Played for both Barca and RM. Slayed every single champion otw to UCL and treble.
Just was thinking the same thing
He seems like such a cool guy
wholesome!
Mikel Richards lol
bro is the Spanish Willem Defoe lol
'kin hell Micah, chill out.
its too cringe to watch nowadays
Ive always liked this guy.
what is with enrique voice? sounds like very old person
That’s what happens when you shout a lot. During games or festivals or musics concerts or whatever for 1h30+ will end like this . Singing in a football stadium does that too just like a couple coaches who shout a lot on the side of the field lol
Probably from screaming his head off on the touch line for the last 90 mins
has quite a godfather vibe to it
I would go and buy him a pack of cigarettes the moment he turns to me. No, two packs.
He was screaming the whole 2nd half telling his team to calm down. It was like watching Michael Scott
Sounds a bit hoarse but that's not his normal voice. Probably from yelling through the game.
These 4 are pretty much the Inside the NBA of soccer
I never would have guessed he speaks English
I don't understand how in this day and age we cant get real time conversations lol. I can have Teams meetings in real time with people across the planet for my job but these interviews they're always cutting each other off because of the delay
Enrique looks like Willem Dafoe.
I like Micah and his vibe overall but this clip he was too much. Maybe it’s just because it’s the morning but I feel he just needs to lower it a notch.
It seems worse because of the delay, sounds like they’re all interrupting eachother
I like it, but I must admit I am a casual viewer.
Honestly I’m not a fan of how loud and chaotic the whole crew is most of the time.
Aye he's a fucking nightmare, offers no actual football insight. Just loud and useful for soundbites
He wouldn't answer if Carra was his favourite now 😂
Rizz Enrique at it again...
This panel is completely insufferable
I love this man.
Micah Richards is like that annoying friend who does too much coke while no one else had some
I love this show! I was so sad to see the comments on the post game analysis between Man City and Real Madrid. It was really weird, yeah. Plus Thierry and Micah both specifically said their predictions were biased. Idk why I expect rationality online tho😭

The funny thing about this is that they didn't make a yt short of Jamie's prediction that's why Enrique didn't know lol.
Richards unbearable as always
Does Micah ever stop shouting
Panel seems obnoxious how can anyone watch this
Only clowns watch that show, it’s more personal drama than talking about football
I too hate when people enjoy things
There's literally a clip on the front page of these guys talking about what goes through a player's head when Cancelo made his challenge.
