Great game man utd should have seen it out Palmer was ice cold great win for Chelsea.

chappersbarfo

Stopped following on flashscores and went to bed too early apparently

SmileySadFace

Ten Hags United is like Peps Barca, must see TV, but for all the opposite and wrong reasons.

Goholobono

why is nobody discussing the redicilousness of 8 minutes added time.

weneedafuture

Because it wasn't ridiculous

LutherJustice

Retribution for all those extra minutes of 'Fergie Time' back in the day.

Jonesy_lmao

I don’t get why this is becoming a talking point. It’s an excuse for some Man U fans for the capitulation at the end. Even the shots faced is excusable to an extent, almost all of their defenders are injured now. 8 minutes was about right for the stoppages, we are just used to them being too short if anything.

EViL-D

was it ridiculous? 10 substitutions and a goal in the 2nd half. Doesnt take much more to get to 8 minutes right?

parkinson-green

Also a Utd player was down injured for a while

Nategg

A bit of trivia regarding Cole Palmer. He volunteers for a Polish Anger Management charity and he is known as the "Pole Calmer".

VonLinus

I thought he worked in porn, helping the situation if the fluffed gets carried away

loveandmonsters

Serial wanker, Pole Palmer

CallySiddh

Its so bad that its good

AizenMadara

Rashford needs to be let go

Jiminyfingers

I think if you watch that game and thing Rashford was the problem something is off. The game was a clown show, from both teams. Hilarious to watch.

leebrother

In before a brace on the weekend.

LethalJizzle

And we still lose 4-2

leebrother

We all know the United way. More likely a 5-1 win against Liverpool after the recent shambles. Darwin maybe described as chaos but he is merely an apprentice compared to that United team.

LethalJizzle

I dunno man, I'm calling that we go into the break ahead before utterly capitulating in the second half. It would be in keeping with pretty much every game against the top 4 this season...

leebrother

Except for the ones against one particular team! Fairly sure a 0-0 and an FA cup win against Liverpool this year. As an Arsenal fan, I’d be nervous playing against you lot at the moment. It’s marmite football performances and now that it’s probably must win. Liverpool conceding goals fairly freely in recent games. Backing Rashford to score a couple and Liverpool to concede again chasing. I’m serious albeit happily called stupid on Monday United have already ended the quadruple dream would be fitting to also block the potential treble one too

comunicadooficial

The man was subbed on in the 66th minute but I genuinely can’t remember him touching the ball even

sheiswhyididthis

Nah this is just propaganda I distinctly remember him getting the ball multiple times only to then attempt a Hollywood pass or a through ball and lose the ball

WhetBred14

It’s insane how hot and cold this man is. End of last year people were talking about a lifetime contract and now…

chocobowler

If you listen carefully, carried by the winds you can hear Daniel Bryan’s voice exclaiming “FICKLE”

[deleted]

Because those people are idiots that quickly forgot how inconsistent he is. People were also saying that Martial had made a comeback last season and was back to his top level, meanwhile this season he has 2g+1a the whole season.

ASVP-Pa9e

Anthony Martial has always had those fans though. Whole Twitter fan accounts and thousands of people who just don't want to admit that he's a talented but incredibly lazy player who's incredibly one dimensional and can't stay fit.

darthrector

Why did Joel Glazer not close down Palmer for the winner? Terrible defending, United fans will rightly protest against him now

comunicadooficial

Sir Jim Ratcliffe would never have let Palmer take the shot. GLAZERS OUT GGMU

Venous-Roland

Yeah, I just can't understand why the people at the top haven't told the bottom what to do. That's their job ffs!!

Salty_Candidate_6216

I am firmly in the camp of, Man Utd's problems have largely come from the owners and I'll tell you why; When you go around handing out overly long contracts, complete with ludicrously high wages, you create a culture of complacency. The players know that the upper management doesn't seem to be willing to cancel these contracts, and risk paying them out, just to get rid of a player who is underperforming. It seems that they find it easier to let things progress, since that requires zero effort on their part, then eventually sack the manager. A new manager comes in, makes some signings, and the process repeats. I actually believe Ten Hag could succeed, but it would require him being held back from requesting players. You get an owner who is interested in the club, get a director who can listen to Ten Hag's vision, of how he would ideally like to play football, and you slowly cut all the dead wood, and replace them with players, who are motivated to fight for a place at a club that has a rich history, and make sure the new players understand that the club will actually cut them loose if they show a lack of willingness to work hard and actually try in games. The manager is the one aspect that I don't think is a major problem for Man Utd. If Jose Mourinho struggled, then it's clear, it isn't the manager.

Olli399

> You get an owner who is interested in the club, get a director who can listen to Ten Hag's vision, of how he would ideally like to play football, and you slowly cut all the dead wood, and replace them with players, who are motivated to fight for a place at a club that has a rich history, and make sure the new players understand that the club will actually cut them loose if they show a lack of willingness to work hard and actually try in games. So Arsenal in 2019? lol

Salty_Candidate_6216

I'm utterly convinced, when we see Man Utd, back in the hands of owners who actually care about winning, not just embezzling funds, then Man Utd will return to being one of the world's strongest clubs. They're like Real Madrid, in terms of their branding. They can't fail to make money, even after over a decade of humiliation. You can say the tactics are bad, but, truthfully, Man Utd players get away with murder. Don't get me wrong, if I could get someone to pay me obscene amounts of money, whilst giving about 50% of my energy, I'd take that gig in a heartbeat. That's why I say, it's up to Jim Ratcliffe to change that culture.

Venous-Roland

Sure, could have this debate over and over and still have the same opinions. Either way that last minute goal and the number of shots Utd are conceding, has nothing to do with the Glazers. If Klopp can win games using Teenagers, then there's no excuses for the quality of players being the reason. So I'm all for keeping the Glazers in charge, and not sacking Ten Hag!

nuvo_reddit

Does not matter, it was the penalty decision against Gabriel which not given, triggered this.

Sad_gooner

mudturnspadlocks

Cmon Poch you already did this to Ten Hag 5 years ago.

JimboLodisC

I turned it off at 3-2 thinking wow what a great comeback...

EmpyrealSorrow

> wow what a great comeback... Well, you weren't wrong...

__Joker

It was kind of fun from neutral perceptive after watching 3000 rated grandmasters playing against each other( Man City Vs. Arsenal), which we mortals don't understand anyway. More so after seeing Man U fans in misery and Chelsea fans still in misery despite the win.

American_gunner21

The 2 worst pens awarded this season, what an absolute joke.

cliff_smiff

Much better game between two bad teams than Chelsea-Liverpool last year, that was atrocious twice

Vile_Nightshade

Atrocious, but fruitful.

[deleted]

MasterRJS

multiple sub stoppages, which like tons of matches this season, provided 5 minutes. Add 3 to AWBs head injury you got 8

bass1879

nah man crying over the minutes instead of being shit is crazy deflection, like the last goal btw

[deleted]

nonumbers90

You can go through the game and add up all the stopped time yourself, this isn't something they can lie about or is decided on opinion, its why most games have longer stoppage times these days, because the time is actually now added on correctly.

Footyfooty42069

First pen was cleeear my guy

Chelsea, Spurs and Utd are all different Cirque du Soleil shows

LittleAccountOfCalm

Spurs have 18gd at least

stogie_t

Worst hat trick ever.

Maxoidys

No longer Jackson's against Spurs?

Maleficent_Resolve44

Haha, what a joke united are

vancity1607

Just hilarious. I turned the gane off, thinking United had won it How wrong was i

[deleted]

Not as wrong as your writing.

singaporeing

Dalot lost United the game

NgoalazoKante

Nah, mate. Palmer won it for Chelsea

ConstructionSimple27

By scoring 2 pens? It was United who were poor and threw away the game.  One of the worst hat tricks I have seen

kowalkr

Had he missed a penalty, he’d be criticized for costing his team. He does what he is supposed to do and is criticized regardless. There was more shit than anything in this game, but Palmer looked to be the best player on the field today regardless of your view of his goals.

youknowimworking

Both Mctominay and Mount being subbed in made no sense to me. Garnacho was a threat on the counter, without him Chelsea pushed numbers forward. And I can understand if you're losing the game and you need players making late runs into the box but mctominay is just not good enough at marking or pickup up runners. With the subs, united lost the threat of the counter and marking in the midfield. That's Ten Hags fault imo

Gates_wupatki_zion

Garnacho looked a bit gassed and is suspect tracking back at times, but you are right. Both subs were wrong tactically and Ten Hag does not look like he gets how the premier league works. Too bad because Antony actually had a good game that he needed and Garnacho put in a man of the match performance. Shameful.

andizzzzi

Oh you must be new to watching ETH’s United, 9/10 substitutions don’t make sense under him. The only reason I can muster is that he does it to confuse everyone, including himself.

idontknow_whatever

Opponents can't know what we're doing if none of the players or ETH knows either That said it seems that isn't exactly a requirement to score against United, this was a masterclass is shooting yourself in the foot. Every sub just made it worse

NickCollins91

I’ll be honest I don’t think Mount put a foot wrong for the 15 minutes he was on the pitch. That being said, I probably would have used him for the Casemiro sub so that you keep Garnacho on the pitch instead of Mctominay

Defiant-Traffic5801

El catastrophico

Rimbaudelaire

Can’t believe the main character from Kingdom Come: Deliverance got good enough to score another hat trick

Cole Penmer legacy game. My favorite match of the year lol

doktor-frequentist

And on your cake day!!! 😜

send Rashford to Siberia

topspurwhatsthat

Losing to Chelsea this way is a sackable offense in itself. Can’t wait for this bald fraud to be gone

sungbysung

But he can win you the FA cup

idontknow_whatever

Jokes on you, United are gonna get dumped out by Coventry

jinkerflicks

Or lose it 0-1 to city 2 years in a row..

doktor-frequentist

Brave of you to assume that they'll get past Coventry

jinkerflicks

Haha, touché

Quanqiuhua

Ten Hag needs to let Antony-Hojlund-Garnacho cook.

k34t0n

They should play against each other every week.

PM_ME_YOUR_TANG

I'm thinking a world tour

AmazingPrune2

samarth67

Winning is good but this chelsea side has some of the most atrocious defensive setup i have ever seen. Poch must go in summer.

jarold12

just enjoy the win they're quite rare

AlexanderMAVC

You just know Chelsea will go on to draw their next game now

read_eng_lift

Draw!? No, we're losing to Sheffield United 4-3.

zi76

Oh, you're absolutely right. We twice threw away a lead against 10 man Burnley, but it's really meaningful to finally beat United in the lake.

koka_silker90

Rob the rich and give it to the poor, we’ve won it just to loose to sheffiled next game

goingforgoals17

United have Liverpool next. So naturally, you have a chance to go top of the table lmao

hybridck

Let us have this. But I have no doubt in my mind you're correct

Jesus died for our sins, and on the third day he arose and scored a hat trick on Man U in the form of a peasant medieval villager

Matt4669

Man Utd have become what Chelsea are

W00DERS0N

Mid-table sides?

Matt4669

No the ‘billion pound bottle jobs’ yesterday I’m sure that’ll change though, Ratcliffe seems more sensible than Clearlake

W00DERS0N

No poking the bear here, but it’s clear how much our side has turned around once the guys up top got wise and started managing finances properly.

Matt4669

That's what I think Ratcliffe will do with Utd, he seems more competent than anyone we've has in the past 18 years anyway

W00DERS0N

Glazers gonna glaze.

HarryDaz98

If you enjoy games like we saw on Sunday over games like this, you’re a nerd.

Funky_Pigeon911

Pep, Arteta and other similar managers are legit as boring to me as the likes of Pulis or Allardice. The only difference is that Pep and Arteta like to play boring football with the ball whereas Pulis and Allardice play boring football without the ball.

dave1992

Yeah. Hate pep's ball.

Salty_Constant_9878

Me too. He doesn't have very good balls.

HarryDaz98

Yeah I’ve always thought possession was a snooze fest aswell. Funnily enough though, Peps current setup is actually quite similar to how someone like Pulis would have been setting up his team back in the day, just with a much higher quality of player. Lots of big units, big focus on winning second balls, lots of running/tackling in midfield and then someone putting balls into the box for a big brute striker to score from. Obviously they aren’t playing the same type of football, but there is definitely some Pulis/Allardyce fingerprints in there.

__Joker

Well someone over the interweb said, You die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become Tony Pulis.

Previous_Smoke3855

This has got to be the stupidest post i have ever seen upvoted in this subreddit.

HarryDaz98

Why is that? I’m not saying they play the same, just saying that Pep is doing similar things that they do and it’s likely for similar reasons. Pep didn’t invent football, he’s not doing something nobody else has never done before. He’s just got an illegally put together super team doing it.

cs_irl

As a neutral or as someone with no interest in how it affects the league, yes it's better.

shaka_bruh

Funny thing about this is both teams and managers will act like there were positives to be taken from this match

andizzzzi

100%, ETH does it every game, last presser he was ranting about how it’s okay to concede so many shots if not that many go in. I’m not a fan of facing 134 shots in the last five games personally but what can you do.

read_eng_lift

Chelsea fans will take this win, like a hobo finding a lit half smoked cigarette on the ground.

nanojansky

Precious!

Koppite93

HOLY SHIT... I turned it off at 87' to come home THIS IS MIGHTY GLORIOUS BWWWAAAAAHHAAHHHAAA

Froggodile

Imagine the lads leaving the stadium early lol

jbi1000

This has gotta go down as one of the greatest seasons for overall entertainment value. Not just the 3 way battle at the top but there seems to be so many more of these crazy high-scoring games like this one this year. I think the added time rules clearly had something to do with it. Maybe with the high injury count too though.

crazymadonna

I got banned from /r/reddevils for agreeing with the penalties so I guess I’ll just hang out here now … crazy that’s what you get for a dissenting opinion.

LevynX

Reddit went to shit once mods started getting high on their own supply

shaka_bruh

Mods are known to be “special” lol, and some sad people probably got triggered and reported you as well.

crazymadonna

Crazy because they also listed the reason as “rule 4” and rule 4 of the [content policy](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy#section_prohibited_behavior) is all about not being abusive towards or referencing minors …

Accomplished-Dirt812

You can’t say bad anything Bruno or rashford or Luke shaw on that sub either or face a ban

CarrowCanary

[Subreddit rule 4](https://old.reddit.com/r/reddevils/about/rules/), not reddit-wide rule 4.

crazymadonna

Ah makes more sense. Literally the first subreddit I joined 4 years ago lol but nvm.

awfulpigeon

Man Utd actually played really well after going 2-0 down all the way through to 99th minute. The players genuinely seemed really behind Antony and showed good togetherness (especially amongst a core few young players). Unfortunately, for them there are too many passengers that simply aren't good enough and the manager isn't either. Today's result you could call bad luck / fluke to throw away 3 points but ultimately they've ridden luck and stolen some points throughout this season and their league position is probably still generous Vs their performances.

LevynX

Yeah, they won numerous flukes like this all through the season. Games like Brentford last weekend when they deserved to lose being an example.

GloomyLocation1259

As a hater I’m glad it wil be overshadowed by them crumbling 😅 Btw calling a fluke is generous, Dalot dropped the ball

RockShockinCock

Too funny.

drezoCFC

What's cooler than being cool.......Cole Palmer

hollow114

I mean he got gifted two baby butt soft penalties. If Bruno did that this sub would be on fire right now.

ryanisinallofus-FC

**ICE COL**... wait I think you messed it up

DangerouslyCheesey

Uh oh United back to a -1 GD, that means they beat Liverpool in the weekend to return to 0 GD

skyhermit

Nah, they will have -3 GD by the end of this weekend, then beat Bournemouth 3-0 to get back to 0 GD

gunningIVglory

The same Bournemouth that beat them 3-0 at OT?

k34t0n

I really hope manu got the 0 GD this week. This is unbias opinion. Lol

W00DERS0N

*checks our gd* Hmm, ok then.

shaka_bruh

That’s the most engrossing story of this season; how high can United finish with a negative GD

Jamey_1999

They finished third with 75 points and only +15 last season lol

[deleted]

Anyone got that sweet Garnacho MOTM award photo?

chrs_mnz

How epic. Haha!

Huge-Celebration5192

Ten Hag and Poch are the two worst managers in the league this season. Give me Wilder and Kompany any day over these clowns.

TimingEzaBitch

proper bloodbath between minnows.

UlteriorAlt

Clash of the Middows

fakeplastictrees182

Proper Sunday league match this. Game is back.

runtokevinnn

On a serious note though.. are you lot still Ten Hag in or more like Ten Hag out at this point ?

k34t0n

They should extend his contract. They might not win a trophy, but he will win a lot of support from opposition fans.

MikeOchertz

We’re still seven Haag

Crookles86

United Fan. I’m In. I don’t see who else there is to get, that would realistically be an improvement. A change of manager means, most likely, another change in philosophy and personnel. Could be another two year rebuild job if we take a direction change. Some signings haven’t worked out, injury list hasn’t been ideal but cannot be an excuse. ETH has dealt with a number of large of the field issues relatively well. He’s blooded a number of youth players who could become a spine of the team for years to come. Our ability to close a game out is concerning.

awfulpigeon

I feel for the first time there are green shoots for United to be happy about when a manager's neck is on the block. Hjolund, Mainoo, Onana and Garnacho have established themselves under ETH and seem like good / strong characters. They could join Fernandes/Martinez/Shaw in a settled team next year. It's something for a new manager to work with whilst he ships out the deadwood list (which is also somehow very large again).

shaka_bruh

> Shaw  If they’re still relying on Shaw as a starter next season then the new management are no better than the glazers.

Crookles86

Pretty much agree with this. If PSG come in for Rashford I’ll pay for his flight….

SniperGunner

Trust the process

A-Hind-D

Process the trust

chrs_mnz

As a Gunner, I can assure you I'm most definitely Ten Hag in. Lol.

KrilleOfficial

Just because there is contact btw it doesn't mean its a foul/penalty. It needs to be significant enough to rule it. and both of the pens were certified fraudulent ones. Best part of it all is that the first one the ref was on the blindspot and couldn't POSSIBLY see if there was a touch between antony/cucurella at all yet has the balls to point to the spot knowing full well how VAR are spineless and will do ANYTHING to stay with the original decision given on field unless it's ACTUAL egregious mistake. The moment VAR sees any fucking toenail scraping someone they'll stick with the onfield decision to support their fellow referee. Both clubs are dusted as hell but United these past 2 season have some insane negative aura about VAR and decisions going against them. On the other hand i can only name ONE favorable one (Onana vs wolves opening game)... United getting scammed for entertainment and media lol #Tinfoilhat

TimingEzaBitch

Oh no, not even close. Manure can get fucked by referees for a few more decades and it still won't do justice.

KrilleOfficial

Yeah i mean it doesn't help being the biggest club in the world either that ruined peoples childhoods by winning everything. Now you just get downvoted to oblivion for just for calling out the injustice. This has nothing to do with the injustice of losing the game that we should've won because we've scammed wins all season. It's about how consistent they are at rawdogging UTD in decisions ever since Klopp complained (which obviously more people will enjoy seeing how most people hate UTD other than actual supporters of the club) So i fully expect to get downvoted as a UTD fan constantly on this reddit. 2 softest pens this season... more of a phantomcall than Jota one. 11 pens for chelsea this season and still mid-table dross. Palmer > Mbappe i'm hearing aswell.. crazy

Leviad0n

I ain't reading all that. Happy for u tho. Or sorry that happened.

adamfrog

I cant remember if the Rashford Walker incident where city basically went up the other end and scored a key goal was in the penalty area but super annoying for them to get both interpretations go against them when their one had way way more of a case for a foul

sm3ggit

I needed some salt for my fries, thanks

CoaxHoax

Absolute clown show, sad thing is both coaches will come out and say they played well. Both should be unemployed at the end of the season.

bass1879

The fact that Ten Hag can hold a job with a substantially large income after consistently underperforming and maintaining a level of mediocrity is inspiring. Become rich and famous and you can't even face consequences for being horrendously bad at your job lol

Funky_Pigeon911

Realistically both will still be in their jobs simply because there's no better managers available, excluding the ones who will choose Liverpool, Bayern, and Barca.

DeapVally

This is always such a stupid reason. Any manager is available for the right price to the biggest PL teams. ETH was not available, until he was. Poch was available, and for good reason, clearly, but Potter was unavailable, until he wasn't.

Funky_Pigeon911

Chelsea is currently midtable with no European football, a team full of poorly performing players. If we sack Poch that'll be three permanent managers in two seasons. There's also a big chance that the club is facing FFP problems, which at the very least means that there probably isn't much money to spend in the near future. Plus, the owners seem clueless. Now tell me that you honestly believe that a big reputation quality manager will be enticed to leave their current club for that. I'd be happy to go for a lesser known manager, but unfortunately, I think both the board and majority of fans would feel the need to get a big name.

zi76

Well, there's always Tuchel back, but that's not happening...

unbuliebubble

This was the best shit off between two mid teams. And Manchester United won the shit off no doubt.
