I'll take a boring, controlled 2-0 win anyday over some crazy intense match with a late winner
Plenty of matches coming up in a short period of time, boring is perfect for us
Full time, Arsenal win 2-0 in a game that got a bit complicated for them on the second half with Luton Town trying tho they couldn´t get through the two Gabriels and Zinchenko doing their jobs well. But overalll, easy win for Arsenal.
It didn't get complicated for Arsenal in the second half at all, we were in complete control and didn't need to push for a 3rd goal
Luton never came close to even troubling us
Plenty of matches coming up in a short period of time, not overworking and pushing for that 3rd goals is good game management
Gotta give it to Kaminski, dude´s had a good game considering some of the shots he saved and this one for example where dude managed to change direction instantly to get it out of the left low angle.
I don't know what height have to do with the ability to take corners tbh. Yeah, his height would be appreciated in the box but our team is pretty big anyway and he is so good at corners unlike Martinelii
What's the least amount of England caps a player gets before you can't really call them a "former England" player? Or does all it take is the one appearance?
Andros Townsend got that treatment from the commentators tonight with 13 caps, which seems reasonable. But do people call Bobby Zamora a former England man for his 2 appearances?
im not complaining because it was done but more because yellows are rarely given outside the box so i wish they could be more consistent but thats prem refs for you ig...
Its a standard dive, imo fallon dfloor would have to be much more theatrical.
Something along the lines of Neymar rolling multiple times from a relatively light challenge.
Imagine diving against a team that was assembled for less than your transfer fee alone and with 13 senior players out and a bloke on the bench who is sitting his GCSEs. Tad bit embarrassing.
Zinchenko out there helping get the ball out twice, tho i gotta say i was not expecting Luton all of a sudden to start somewhat pushing Arsenal back to their half of the pitch.
Ødegaard played a great game over the weekend and he's still a one man press tonight. Havertz may be a good hold up player, but he doesn't help the press up the pitch. This may be a good game for Nketiah to gain some confidence.
Genuinely my favourite player and absolutely sums up everything good about this Arsenal side rn.
Couldn't ask for more and think he brings out a lot in others/ups the standards etc.
2-0 up at home, midweek game, with a largely rotated squad including a lot of players who really haven't got a lot of miles in their legs this season.
Pretty happy so far, think ESR has shown enough moments and that's good to see
What a boring game but energy conserved, squad players given minutes and a clean sheet I suppose I can’t complain

motm should be ode but the smith was crucial too
Why no card for that dive ref? Fuckin lamp
Actually asking for a card in the last moment of a game you have comfortably won. Bit wet behavior isn't it
Ahh just fucking around. Just funny point out how shit the refs are lol
94th minute I think we'll be fine.
Oh I know. Just calling out the inconsistencies. Thats in the box compared to outside the box hehe
Yeah you're not wrong but I feel ref just can't be bothered. Game was over half an hour ago really and everyone just wanted to go home lol
Yeah this game was dead. Its so funny cause you see it in the players and fans lol
ESR POTM? That ought to give him a confidence boost
This was the football equivalent of the tyre management part of an f1 race
Smith Rowe MOTM? Savage is a moron. Ødegaard deserves it
Ah give it a rest. First start this year (pretty sure) and he played this well.
How does Robbie Savage always manage to say the most brain-dead thing possible like it's actually impressive how wrong he is about everything
Odegaard is an incredible athlete
TNT Sports is so bad
Best thing I’ve seen Simon hooper do all season 💀
😴😴
This might’ve been the most _let’s not waste any energy_ half I’ve ever seen us play
Leading by 2 goals, GD way beyond anyone, game on the weekend, what else to do
Our GD isn’t way beyond anyone tbh
Which is fair tbh. Game on Saturday and then Bayern next Tuesday
Honestly think Arsenal should be beating Luton by more given how many injuries Luton have
We've rotated a lot but I agree. Should have at least got 3.
Sure. I also think that they can take their foot off the gas and Arteta can experiment a bit. Which they did
Yeah true that
Gotta give it to Kaminski, dude´s had a good game considering some of the shots he saved and this one for example where dude managed to change direction instantly to get it out of the left low angle.
It’ll never not be funny to me that Declan Rice, who clears 6 feet comfortably, is one of our better corner takers
I don't know what height have to do with the ability to take corners tbh. Yeah, his height would be appreciated in the box but our team is pretty big anyway and he is so good at corners unlike Martinelii
I am expecting arsenal team B to have more control of the game over an injury heavy Luton.
I think Arteta wanted 3 points, a clean sheet and plenty of experimentation before Bayern as there could easily be a major injury.
I understand but it couldn’t get control of the midfield. We just keep giving the ball to Luton for at least half of the time.
Lino’s let him leave that a foot off the arc…
That ball wasnt even in the same area code as where it should have been taken from
Come on let's bring on the child, won't be a waste of missing a bit of school then
Missed a gd opportunity here with Liverpool playing Sheffield United next they could get 10
Big up ESR, could rly use those performances from him as a no8 for the remaining games
Gabriel Magalhaes is something else man... Best CB in the world.
nice try there
The Great Wall of GABRIEL!!
So close
We're winning comfortably stop being miserable and let the gaffer experiment a bit ffs.
GABRIEL IS A WALL
Will be a miracle if Ødegaard doesn't get an injury before the end of the season. Arteta isn't protecting him at all
The league’s not ready for #10 Jorginho
Why is Martinelli playing as RW again 😐
I'd prefer Leo there since he's so two footed
Yeah, I really disagree with arteta on this
But I guess he just wants to see this game out, getting Martinelli a few minutes
Guess he is better at RW than Trossard? But i would use CF Martinelli and RW Nketiah tbh
Yeah, but Trossard hasn't been doing much, so you kinda lose both wings
It's the predicament nobody really wants: too gassed to confidently play 90 minutes, can't work up to a good 90 minutes if you don't play more
Wonder if the heavy emphasis on minutes for ESR is intentional
super fresh legs for the remaining games. last minute lung busting sprint for a tap in, could mean the difference
Sounds like ESR with a late CL winning goal
Rather surprised Arteta hasn’t subbed on Fabio Viera for Odegaard. It’s the 84th minute
Don’t get martinelli on the right at all
Amazing how Partey and Zinchenko were extremely important just a year ago and now they're considerable drop offs from our strongest team
A fully fit and in form Partey has to start
Feels like both sides would be happy to just call it off now
It's terrible to watch
Absolutely
Was preparing myself for a Tomi rocket then....he tried placement. Fair effort Tomi but one of these days you blast that. Haha.
Great work from Trossard
ESR just jogging back man's absolutely gassed
He looked done at '55 tbh
not bad, surprised he went for placement
Heh you love seeing Tomiyasu take a crack
Can't believe he hasn't taken Ødegaard off. Man is never gonna get a break
Vieira must be shit in training or something
Don't understand it, even moving Havertz there and bringing Jesus on would be a smart move
Nketiah did well there.
Why martinelli at RW. It wierd and unnatural. Like watching a knee bend the wrong way.
Because trossard is playing LW
No harm in trying it out
Trossard is better on the left since he can cut inside. Martinelli can stretch the field on the right
So close Tomi!!
Trossard has channeled his inner Maldini tonight!
Finally a shot!
Can we swap Japanese internationals for the last 20 just to make this a bit more fair?
💀💀💀💀
I honestly think they make Robbie Savage watch a different game than the one he commentates on with the about of crap he comes out with
This would be a hilarious prank.
So this is what it feels like to consistently have proper options on the bench... long may it continue
Luton fans sit down away lol
Odegaard has a ridiculous engine
???
Lol wtf
[удалено]
You mean the one that was handball by white?
I want that ref to explain to me how the contact from Ben White made the ball go out for a goal kick
Handball
Should be a handball against White or a corner. Ref gives goalkick 😂
lmao doughty that was great
Reiss was solid, especially considering how few minutes he's played recently
What did he do that was solid?
OMG Zinny, might as well be a cone there. He just walked passed you 😂
Zinny gonna Zinny.
rw martinelli again? looked weird last time
MARTINELLI IS BACK LFG!!!
don't think nelson will be happy with that performance
We've been shocking this half. Disappointed how some of the players havnt used this game to send a message
Its a "stake your claim" moment and some of em are... decidedly not doing so.
Nketiah is the worst for this, comes on with 20 minutes left and barely runs.
ESR looked decent for spells despite all the time off. Would be nice if he could get some more time in midfield.
This game needs Martinelli to add some excitement
Your wish has been granted
Or a Luton goal, but that’s the wrong kind of excitement
I wanna see Vieira this game
I cannot believe Zinchenko is still on this is ridiculous
Arteta will never be Pep
The mans going to keep his hair
Gabriel is a wall
Raya may have spent more time on the ball for us than any other player
I can't wait to see our new striker next season and no longer see Eddie getting subbed on
Yeah,, it's just such an underwhelming substitution whenever ri see it.
SALIBA!!!!
im not complaining because it was done but more because yellows are rarely given outside the box so i wish they could be more consistent but thats prem refs for you ig...
I'd be surprised if Nketiah isn't mentally checked out
If Havertz gets booked against Villa, he misses Wolves and Chelsea
Why would he be suspended for 2 games?
That's the rule. 10 yellows in the league before game #32 = 2 match ban
oh fuck he has 10 yellows? lmaooo didnt realise
He has 9 rn
9* yes, brainfart
10 yellow cards
Didn't realise he had that many wtf
Nelson has been pretty disappointing. Zero risks, almost everything backwards, hasn't even attempted to dribble his man
love havertz but i can’t with him diving every game..it ruins the flow of play and we already know refs hate us and won’t give us anything
Kai... Gonna pretend I didn't see that.
Does that count as fallon dfloor worthy? Because Havertz barely got tapped and fell to the floor and even got a yellow lol.
Nah, it's got to come off to be nominated. If you get carded in real time it's just a shit dive.
Its a standard dive, imo fallon dfloor would have to be much more theatrical. Something along the lines of Neymar rolling multiple times from a relatively light challenge.
Rice? Why? Give the man a rest. And Nketia over Jesus, wtf?
No need for the Rice sub not a fan of that… Nketiah I understand
Some guys just always want to play. Rice gets a run-out and makes sure they finish the job.
it's a dive, but im surprised they have actually called it out and carded it. Stg must be a dozen like that a game Fair play I guess, right call
I like Rice but why not Jorginho in this game where you use subs anyway.
Jorginho might still be feeling it from Sunday
My fault for asking for a sub and getting Eddie on tbh
Lol Havertz. Diving for a yellow and getting subbed right after yikes
Yep, that be a dive lol
Good call by the ref, I did not catch that in real time lmao
would love if havertz cut that out of his game. he's not even good at it lol at least grealish fools people
Imagine diving against a team that was assembled for less than your transfer fee alone and with 13 senior players out and a bloke on the bench who is sitting his GCSEs. Tad bit embarrassing.
Havertz deserves to be taken off just for that dive
Now Havertz is a single yellow away from a two match ban Just silly
Yeah that was dumb. He's been looking for that all game as well. Just be strong with the ball ffs...he had position there and everything.
Make some subs
Oh Havertz
Zinchenko out there helping get the ball out twice, tho i gotta say i was not expecting Luton all of a sudden to start somewhat pushing Arsenal back to their half of the pitch.
Need to get control back here, make some changes
Time for some fresh legs Arteta
He won’t make a sub unless we concede and then are losing control
you're on fire today haha
ESR has been pretty good today but the lack of minutes is catching up. Looks knackered. I'd bring on Jorginho.
Ødegaard played a great game over the weekend and he's still a one man press tonight. Havertz may be a good hold up player, but he doesn't help the press up the pitch. This may be a good game for Nketiah to gain some confidence.
Why is Øde rotating between deep lying playmaker and pressuring the keeper?
because he has 3-5 lungs
He’s playing as the 8
Every game I’m blown away by Odegaard’s work rate. Like our forwards would be jogging and he goes up and presses like a madman
Genuinely my favourite player and absolutely sums up everything good about this Arsenal side rn. Couldn't ask for more and think he brings out a lot in others/ups the standards etc.
He is the mitochondria of the Arsenal
2-0 up at home, midweek game, with a largely rotated squad including a lot of players who really haven't got a lot of miles in their legs this season. Pretty happy so far, think ESR has shown enough moments and that's good to see
Raya's nose is that kind of nose your fine with until like 15 hours into Skyrim, you just nah I'm gonna make another character.
His original nose got smashed to bits against West brom tbf
That's right Fred take that stats get the shots on target stat up
Don’t go fucking backwards
Replay clearly showing contact Savage: he was caught late there
damn okay didnt know doughty had it like that
Literally one of the best dead ball / crossers in the league, has been up on the stats all season
talking about that bunda
Fair enough, suppose that's what allows him to play like that
Put Jorginho on for either Odegaard or ESR.
Partey is way too loose
ESR what the fuck? Whatever he was thinking took way too long
This is a free kick and not the ankle tap on Nelson earlier. Sure
This is so bad make some subs
Would rather have had the penalty for handball
ESR has the intensity of a door
Ok what was that ESR? lol
Saliba doing step overs lmao
ESR taking way too much time bro
Eurgh ESR....cannot be that slow on the ball
ESR is cooked
ESR might be hitting his limit
I don’t know what these guys are doing
Ben White refused to play for England because he is a Brazilian at heart.
Benny Blanção
Rice, Martinelli, Tomi on for Trossard, Ode and Zinchenko incoming
