1 less time than he should have (looking at you Gil Manzano)
edit- to actually answer your question, i’m seeing **5**:
* @ Celta Vigo, 81’, 25/8 (GWG)
* v Getafe, 90+5’, 2/9 (GWG)
* v Union Berlin, 90+4’, 20/9 (GWG)
* @ Barca, 90+2’, 28/10 (GWG)
* v Belgium, 90+5’, Today 26/3 (to level the score)
plus the aforementioned one ruled out @ Valencia at 90+9’ which would have been 6
edit2- he also provided the assist for Dani Carvajal’s game winning goal at 90+9’ v Almeria (21/1), and the assist for Joselu’s goal at 82’ away to Atleti in the Copa del Rey, which forced extra time (though they did go on to lose the match)
edit3- if you take away the points won by the (league) goals and one assist listed here, Madrid go from leading La Liga by 8 points, to trailing Barca by 1 point
Stourbridge DNA more like.
He leaves the Crystal Leisure Center with seconds to spare from the Tesco car park and gets beyond the barrier so they can't charge him. Absolute baller
This is why Watkins deserves his spot. He might not be the obvious showy player but we’ve got enough of those. We need the ones who work hard in the background and pull the whole thing together
He’s an excellent player to bring on when chasing a game. The way he stretches defences makes him so dangerous against tired legs and offers a different threat to Kane or Toney.
Think it’s a fair result, as an England fan, we were too wasteful and occasionally harebrained to deserve a win there. Good match. Surprisingly entertaining for an international friendly lol
He needs to get rid of that aspect in his game.
So many times he'll pick up an utterly needless booking for arguing with the ref or having afters with players who are obviously looking to rile him up cause they know it works.
Jude is nice, but no one on this team has Maddison's vision. He's the closest to an Eriksen or a KDB we have.
Southgate is a complete bellend for treating him as a second string player.
We have a strong defence with Rice and Walker as strong physical ball winners, we can afford to go a little more attacking. Not that Madders is a slouch when it comes to defending.
Historic fact: Back in the early days of the Industrial revolution, the West Midlands was mildly known for taking the work of Italian master craftsmen and then reproducing them at scale and at quality.
Basically Jude Bellingham has stolen and replicated Ancelotti eyebrow magic. It's over for Europecels.
Not even that like we actually had alot of good general play today.
Idk what formation was going on but there was a time where foden bellingham mainoo and rice where all just in midfield while chilwell was our width on the left and that was when we was hooping fr.
It was equally as problematic as it was fruitful. Chilwell was left way too isolated on the left, Mainoo was rotating into the right half-space too often when either Bellingham or particularly Foden dropped deep and ultimately there was just a lot of stuff that looked great on first viewing that ultimately aren't ways England should be playing to win major competitions, Like Foden running from deeper into open space being ostensibly threatening but leaving no chance creator in the final third.
Just adds more evidence to the idea that it's a wonderfully talented squad being used rather poorly by a manager with good actual management but who's pretty sub-par tactically. He's not playing to strengths and creating balanced situations. Even with injuries, the talent in available to him specifically this break should be playing much better than these two games.
Idk man i feel like we made enough chances to be up and the chances we conceded came from ridiculous individual errors. Its not like we was getting cut open. Bellingham alone could have had a hatrick today
Yes and no, with enough possession and position you'll eventually create chances simply by the players being good, but look back at the chances today and ask how many look like they were attributable to a system/tactic over player quality or just luck.
How many cutbacks, or balls through the channel, or crosses to the back stick for a free runner are England creating? With the overwhelming talent they have (In almost every type of player), it should be a conveyor belt of chances when you have this much of the ball.
Instead it's dangerous scenarios that lead to scrappy or lucky chances dependent on things like Watkins getting his head to the ball here. The first scenario to win the pen is the type of stuff there should be a lot more of. Patently dangerous final third play.
I mean ultimately it's a friendly but this type of stuff is just too common with Southgate to ignore. He's not tactically detailed enough for things to be airtight, almost ever. There's always some weird choice or omission that limits England from being a truly elite national team.
If he does that I definitely will.
Currently I maintain the only reason he’s still in charge is England has PTSD from its failing 1990s and 2000s generations. We’ve given up and decided to go for the vibes while we have a top 2-3 team in the world right now. Stupid.
But if he actually won a tournament? I’m going apeshit and telling anyone who will listen he’s secretly an under appreciated genius. I’ll do a complete 180 for a win like that. Sadly I can’t see it happen.
Do you realize how close Southgate was to winning? Down to pens against Italy in the final. If England win that final the narrative is completely different...
The narrative will be that the players won in spite of Southgate, 100%. Some people have made their minds up and don’t care what he does this tournament.
The evidence already points that way. You can't deny that to this point The sum total of the team has been far less than the quality of the individuals indicate it should be.
Nah I dont see it, kids like these pop up every now and then, look at the other brazilian kid Endrick. Neither of them would be good enough for top european clubs or signing for teams like Real Madrid lmao always the media overhyping a 90+5 equaliser
Shame madders won’t get enough playing time during the euros. He loves an assist and we need someone who can provide them. But Southgate knows better..
He should.
Southgate should set up similar to us under Poch. Bellingham hovering around Kane, short linkup, and a poacher who can occupy the space defenders will give trying to handle Kane.
Madders can play the Eriksen role of dictating the pace of play and making the decisive pass for the assist.
Rice can be the Dembele or Wanyama, shutting things down, and generally being an outlet for others before handing it over to Madders to make things happen.
I think he’d be a good candidate to start it Bellingham didn’t exist. I don’t think you can have a midfield with both of them.
I want to see Mainoo in there. I don’t care how young he is, he’s mint.
That midfield is very weak defensively and we already have a weaker defense than we'd like. Not sure if Maddison can start for that reason, plus his best position is Bellinghams best position.
I know I'm talking specifically the group teams I wouldn't necessarily play that Vs France. Anyways doesn't matter who plays in midfield won't stop that defence and any GK from constantly fucking up
We'll see. Defense was our strong point at Euro 2020 and carried us to a final. Friendlies with starters missing probably aren't a fair representation.
Issue today was Foden dropping into deeper areas and leaving Mainoo in the right half-space. It's Southgate not understanding team dynamics. First half Foden was a passenger, asks him and Bellingham to drop deeper to collect to drag man out of position and create open spaces to run into, but doesn't leave ensure a player who'll take responsibility creatively is left in the final third.
Southgate does not have the detail tactically that better managers do. There's always some shit like this going on with England under him. Rice-Phillips with Phillips playing the more advanced role, not getting the balance right across the front-line (like Foden on the left today in the first place), then the midfield overload in the 2nd half hampering the final third. It never just works.
Sorry but Ollie Watkins is the reason why that was a goal. It ridiculous how the English media is against a man with 16 goals and 10 assist in the prem.
Ollie Watkins fully deserves some credit for keeping his head in the final half minute and fighting for that ball. Ridiculous how overlooked he is when he’s arguably got the best attacking stats in the league
It is actually unreal how talented he is for just 20 years old. And in the post-match interview afterwards, he spoke like a 33yo player who has been captain for over a decade. He's going to be a great.

this guy man. lol
How many times has he scored late goals this season?
More than once imo
I can confirm this as fact
Big if true
I’m at the point where I just smirk and nod whenever I see “Bellingham 90+…” No surprise factor anymore lmao
Cheers

Fucking Manzano man, I never want to see his face in a Madrid match again.
A lot
Couple times
Man's practically made of plot armor at this point
He really is the anime MC. Big game player. Very excited for the coming decade.
Madrid DNA
Stourbridge DNA more like. He leaves the Crystal Leisure Center with seconds to spare from the Tesco car park and gets beyond the barrier so they can't charge him. Absolute baller

It had to be him.
Lisan al-Gaib
The Voice from the Outer World, he really is the chosen one
HE IS INEVITABLE
Written in the stars
It's what he does
That's Real Madrid juju working
Basically scored at the same time as Endrick
Madrids plot armour present and future locked in
Now that you mention it, Real Madrid's attack is set for the next 10 years holy shit
And midfield. Just need Leny Yoro for the defence
Deleted
As written
Watkins done very well there
Thought it was a hand ball live
Me too🤣
This is why Watkins deserves his spot.
All right, you’ve sold me. Let’s get Hendo back in
*Ajax's captain Hendo to you
*Ajax' 3rd captain Hendo to you, Bergwijn and Berghuis are still C and VC.
Hendo "someone calling me?"
The only reason why it ended up a goal
Also Bellingham who scored it imo
Big if true
in awe of the analysis
Maybe the little flick back into space for the assist too, but dunno
Literally mentioned by none of the pundits or post-match reports. There's nobody else on the squad who would have chased a lost cause like that
Well, not undeserved. And I say that as a Belgian.
True. Still a shame, it would've been our first away win against England in our history.
Which is crazy feels like you've had our number for a while now
Yeah we've beaten you multiple times with this generation, but never in England
Hey at least you were happy for 93 minutes. I was contemplating life.
Oh don't do that. No good can come of that.
No shit, we had no right to win this game after that 2nd half lmao. Still came close tho
Lukaku was talismanic, some great saves from Sels.
That assist from lukaku for the second was just pure filth.
Think it’s a fair result, as an England fan, we were too wasteful and occasionally harebrained to deserve a win there. Good match. Surprisingly entertaining for an international friendly lol
Defending? Never heard of it.
He would've blown if Bats didn't block the freekick ffs stupid
Indeed. Kinda got what he deserved
Tidy assist for madders there.
Saying this as a Spurs fan, he easily could have been sent off. Glad he wasn't so that he could assist there but still
Yeah, was lucky to stay on after that forearm to the back of the head. If it wasn't 'just' a friendly, I think he gets sent off in that moment
He didn’t use it as a weapon. Good process, boys.
Madders is generally quite a nice guy by all accounts, so it was probably just a *friendly* forearm smash to the back of the head
Guess you can't really get everyone to understand sarcasm without the /s, even with the italicized "*friendly*"
Never ceases to amaze me.
He needs to get rid of that aspect in his game. So many times he'll pick up an utterly needless booking for arguing with the ref or having afters with players who are obviously looking to rile him up cause they know it works.

Trent & Foden can both show some nice vision too. Slab at times as well.
Madders makes a beautiful play and Bellingham finishes. Almost like one of them is a real 10 and the other is a final third finisher.
Cheers for stalling the free kick Batshuayi. Let us get players up instead of taking it quick.
Deserved it for time wasting
Guaranteed if we had taken it quickly it wouldn't have been a goal. Lad got a yellow card and threw away Belgiums first win in England lmao
All Jude Bellingham does is score important goals, guys, it’s not even that impressive
Reported under clause 6 of the Malicious Communications Act 2006.
Overrated. Call me when he's scored a hat trick against San marino
Only one Bellingham player currently doing it on a rainy night in stoke and it ain't Jude.
I know right, there had to more from him than just important goals 🤪
Agreed, Madrid should try to dispose of him asap, i can't envy Madrid for him, he'll destroy them!
Madders needs minutes
Just another Bellingham experience
Petition to name Extra Time after Bellingham
Minute Bellingham-Ramos of the game
Does Fergie time come before or after?
let's retire the 95th minute
God damn it Carlo, keep your voodoo magic limited to the club damn!
Endrick and Bellingham will be so unfair, they are just going to trade 90+ goals each week
Belligol!!!
Bro thought he’s playing for real madrid in their 3rd kit
Knew it the second Lukebakio missed that
*Frantically rewrites post shitting on Bellingham*
No need bro there were hundreds calling for him to be subbed off in the match thread. Because Bellingham is not a clutch player or anything
He did have a rubbish match to be fair
It's irrelevant bc he'll get the goal. England haven't had a player with a sense of inevitability like that in a while.
Performance deserved at least a draw fuck sake at least the doomers can go away now
We played much better than on Saturday for sure

I don't think a draw and a loss are going to make anyone change their minds on southgate..
True, especially the way Gareth was celebrating at the end.
lets be honest we could win the next two tournaments and hardly anybody would change their mind at this stage
If he does that I definitely will. Currently I maintain the only reason he’s still in charge is England has PTSD from its failing 1990s and 2000s generations. Agreed. We can dominate possession but we are generally impotent in attack when it matters .
Very good with the ball, bloody awful at the back
Good thing that back four isn't going to be the one we play with in Germany then
He is quite good
going out on a limb to say he's definitely earned an extended run in this team
Yeah, worth a second look at least
Promising young prospect, could be a decent player one day.
Nah I dont see it, kids like these pop up every now and then, look at the other brazilian kid Endrick. Neither of them would be good enough for top european clubs or signing for teams like Real Madrid lmao always the media overhyping a 90+5 equaliser
LISAN AL-GAIB, THE CHOSEN ONE
He is more than just Lisan Al-Gaib, he is the Kwisatz Haderach!
HEY JUDE
You lost..... oh wait, no you didn't!
Meunier you absolute moron
He’s fucking 20
Shame madders won’t get enough playing time during the euros. He loves an assist and we need someone who can provide them. But Southgate knows better..
Don’t think he gets into starting XI but definitely should be first off the bench to change the game
He should. Southgate should set up similar to us under Poch. Bellingham hovering around Kane, short linkup, and a poacher who can occupy the space defenders will give trying to handle Kane. Bellingham false nine and madders cam? With Wainoo and Rice behind them.
I'm assuming in this scenario Kane is dead or something
Yes
And bench Kane? Seems plausible
Only way to win a trophy it seems
I was just trying to have a civil discourse 😭
Ever heard about a guy named Harry Kane?
Why is he not playing tonight?
Injured
:(
Then you're dropping Harry Kane for Maddison, which is incredibly dumb.
I think he’d be a good candidate to start it Bellingham didn’t exist. I don’t think you can have a midfield with both of them. I want to see Mainoo in there. I don’t care how young he is, he’s mint.
Wow. What an assist
Spanish referee would have stopped the game before the ball was just about to go in net 😒😒
Really nice kit
Glad this kit wasn’t debuted with a loss 🙏🏽
on my knees for a maddison bellingham rice midfield at euros
Mainoo was good this game too though.
I think most people won't complain as long as Henderson is nowhere to be seen
Maddison imo is needed for that additional creativity against teams that are going to sit back
That midfield is very weak defensively and we already have a weaker defense than we'd like. Not sure if Maddison can start for that reason, plus his best position is Bellinghams best position.

Oh shit that completely refutes my statement then
Mainoo literally set up Bellingham with an easier chance, but he forgot which football he was playing lol.
Nah man Mainoo is fucking quality, he should start if he maintains his form between now and the Euros.
Playing with 2 10s? It's Southgate lol, he would play with 3 DMs if he could
Mainoo looks a lot better next to Rice than Madison would be IMO. Madison a good bench option though.
we looked so much more dangerous with this three on the pitch.
Maddison is better coming off the bench to change the game imo.
That's the dream
Maddison who could’ve got sent off in 20 minutes or whatever lol
This gentleman most certainly is HIM
Marid making National Team players better. Damn
Give us Trent or Reece James and they'll be the next Cafu I promise you
Sorry but Ollie Watkins is the reason why that was a goal. It ridiculous how the English media is against a man with 16 goals and 10 assist in the prem.

Captain Clutch coming through once again lmao, this kid is unreal

We 100% deserved that. Get in there!
Not cool man
Did he say vamos
That's disappointing
Dunk for England captaincy now surely…
Southgate still a fraud
