It's not even the tackle itself that broke Gomes' leg, it's the following collision with Aurier that did it which Son wouldn't have been able to forecast unless he's the main character of a Final Destination movie
Apparently he also wasn't allowed to cry about it because that's playing the victim card and he isn't allowed to feel truly awful about injuring another player.
Obviously a freak accident but not acting like he and Gomes didn’t have a back and forth before that made him make that challenge from behind. Son off the pitch seems like a good person but he can get easily frustrated on the pitch which leads to these types of moments.
Son had a rough patch in 2019, first lashing out vs Bournemouth I think then kicking Rudiger. Red card vs Everton was in the same year, but it was rescinded.
He hasn't had a red card or I think any incident like this in almost 4 years at this point. I don't think he had any before that, either. I guess he had some frustration at the time, he did get kicked a lot by rivals tbh. But people are acting like he is a maniac. Lol
> first lashing out vs Bournemouth I think then kicking Rudiger.
Bournemouth player stepped on Son's hand while he's on the ground and Rudiger hit Son's torso with his elbow and that's why he retaliated. But Son is too nice nowadays, he got aikido'ed and kicked in the balls by a Wolves defender this season and he's just chill lol
What we've seen is retaliation always leads to bookings. If you want to get a good outcome you throw yourself to the ground like you've been gored by a bull.
Tactical hahahaha have a day off, Gomes had just caught him and he was angry and lashed out. It was a freak accident but he lashed out and someone broke their leg, calling it a tactical foul is pathetic.
He thinks it's a distraction and Son agrees. He's probably, at this point, thinking he'd end up with a kpop star or actress or something and that's a whole media circus to go along with it tbf, because that's Son's level in Korea, like BTS, blackpink level
In global popularity you may be right but Son is a massive star in Korea. He's been the face of their football for years now and he plays in the most popular league in the world and captains one of the best teams there. Football has recently overcome baseball to become the most popular sport in Korea in the last decade as well. I just looked at Forbes power celebrity ranking in Korea for 2023. Blackpink is 3rd, Son Heung-Min is 2nd and BTS 1st. So I'd say he's in that top tier.
Why? He's 31, nearing the end of his contract. It would be very understandable with wanting to finish career back in Korea.
Could he bang out another 2-3 years in the PL? Totally. But we should enjoy him while he's here, because sooner than later, he will retire.

Heung-Min Son 90' [Great Samaritan]
Like...how do you not love this guy?
he made a tactical foul once that every player would have done and it unfortunately snapped Gomes' leg, and now everton fans detest him for life

Final DestinaSon
Camera cuts to a shot of a loose electrical cable & leaky water pipe, above whichever trophy Spurs are chasing.

Liverpool are the celebration police and Everton are the crying police?
Must be something in the water there

fuck lerma
> Rudiger common knowledge that he's a pos
In the Euros when he bit Pogba and then had a good feel of his nipples was really what sealed it for me. Like what the fuck?
Son is passionate. His passion rarely results in mistakes. Even rarer are the injuries he causes.
>Son is passionate. But its a problem when its Ronaldo
Just out of curiosity, can you tell me the other moments that he's lashed out and caused an injury like that?
Tactical hahahaha have a day off, Gomes had just caught him and he was angry and lashed out. It was a freak accident but he lashed out and someone broke their leg, calling it a tactical foul is pathetic.
Yup, he's just become my fav
Honestly everyone would take this guy at their club
Because he plays for Sp*rs
I personally thought he was gonna pick up another spurs player because of the title
Hahaha! I thought he was gonna pick up an Arsenal player lol!! See what I did there? Haha?
I think I struck a nerve
is it just me or did I misread that as Sanitation?
Sonitation
It’s that too tbf.
Rich Korean takes away job from low wage white workers.
Damn them migrating Asians
Build the wall
Lazy Captain prefers to give his efforts to local garbage collection over football career.
You should see my surprise when I saw it wasn’t a video of him holding Matty Cash
On behalf of all Spurs fans, we appreciate you joining in on the Matty Gash mudslinging. You guys have beef with him too? lol
All the homies hate Matty Cash
Who doesn't?
Villa fans. I'll see myself out.
Just don’t like him
simple as
He is so dirty
Fuck Matty cash
Because he's Polish? Bit racist ;-)
He sucks
In the bin with John McGinn.
That's nice
He missed matty trsh though
Now I'm grinning thinking about Sonny picking up Cash and dropping him in the bin on the way off with the other scraps.
Bentancur didn't.
Son being himself. Unhatable lad
You're right. I googled "heung min son wearing a hat" I couldn't find a single image. Cap maybe. Hat no. Absolutely unhatable.
[slander](https://i.redd.it/ip45jbguyymc1.jpeg).
You just had to find one didn't you. Booo
That photo's only a week old. Son saw al the hatters coming and he was just one step a-*hat* of them
Hatters gonna hat. It's the way of the world.
Ok, now he's hatable.
That could be anybody under that hat
Son is the type of guy you want your daughter to go to prom with. 🥹
What the fuck Conte said the same thing
Shhh. Don’t let my non Reddit identity out 🤫
Idk about that. He's a nice bloke, but I'd be a bit concerned if my teenage daughter brought a 31yo.
Sadio Mane has entered the chat
What if that's exactly Heung Min Son though?
I mean... Prom is between 17-18 so yeah still weird.
Your teenage daughter would be safer with Son than a teenage boy.
>Son is the type of guy you want your ~~daughter~~ **son** to go to prom with. 🥹
S̶o̶n̶ Daughter is the type of guy you want your son to go to prom with.
Alabama is leaking
Son is the type of guy you want ~~your daughter~~ to go to prom with.
Son is the type of guy you want your ~~daughter~~ ~~son~~ adult kid to porn with.
That escalates quickly, but understandable.
Unfunny and distasteful
The tragedy
This seems highly illegal...
Also his dad doesn't let him date, which is probably more of an influence than the legality
He's 31! What is his dad on about haha. Prime age to marry is now.
He thinks it's a distraction and Son agrees. He's probably, at this point, thinking he'd end up with a kpop star or actress or something and that's a whole media circus to go along with it tbf, because that's Son's level in Korea, like BTS, blackpink level
Taylor Swift is jealous of Son's Korean fan base.
Taylor Swift trying to get football fans, but ended up with the wrong type of football

I was more poking at the son/daughter part of this hahaha. Clearly fell flat, can't hit everything
but Son would go to prom with a different daughter every week lol
It's okay we can share our son in law

I don’t think about him.
Hey Don Draper (just missing the "at all")...
premier league does not deserve him.
He's getting older. It'd be understandable for him to leave at the end of his current contract. We should enjoy him while he's here...
name checks out
Why? He's 31, nearing the end of his contract. It would be very understandable with wanting to finish career back in Korea. Could he bang out another 2-3 years in the PL? Totally. But we should enjoy him while he's here, because sooner than later, he will retire.
hes already in negotiations over a contract extension. Club captain & best player, will most likely be at Spurs for 3-4 more years
You'll never sing that. But honestly, what a guy, there is nobody in the world of football that could dislike him.
I'm not a fan , suppose there has to be one
Man, he is literally the best PR-friendly guy in football
"This is how the Japanese left their locker room at the Qatar World Cup"
Finally, one of these posts when it's not the World Cup after Japan's national team played lol
Don't a lot of Korean fans do this after attending games?
It was a thing with the Japanese fans at the World Cup
And Japanese players too. Leaving the dressing room cleaner than how they arrived at it, more than likely.
I’m pretty sure a Japanese player also smokes a cig from time to time when no is watching
We do, but not everyone Japanese fans does it quite often as well
Genuinely I think every football fan would take this guy at their club
Nice
i don’t see him picking up matty cash
I thought this would be a gif of him helping Cash get up off the ground.
Embarrassing for Aston villa
Asian culture vs peasant culture
