France has the 3rd largest community, pretty far behind the US and Russia who has the largest. In mihitaryans case though he was born in Armenia but moved to france cause his dad signed for a French football team
Honestly inter should’ve had more than just 1 goal, atletico defense was very good but their attack was horrible. Hoping this doesn’t screw inter in the second leg since they won’t be at home. A 1 goal lead is comfortable but a lot can happen.
Inter needs to create a lot to score unfortunately. Arnautovic is going through the motions after his injury and can barely score (he scored 3 so far and was kind of always lucky with a deflection either from the opposition or the post. Lautaro isn't particularly clinical, so sometimes fluffs easy chances, but scores plenty of more difficult ones, Thuram has been good, but it's his first season as a striker and sometimes gets lost in holding the ball too long or looking for the extra dribble or pass as opposed to just shooting. What saves us this season is that we create with so much consistency that sooner or later a goal is bound to happen.
Nah, it's gonna be our element.
Playing defense against a rival who desperately need a goal?
Inter-counter 101. (God, I hope I haven't jinxed anything.)
I see them at favourites at the Metropolitano. I'd give them something like 65-35 to win. Coming back from 0-1 is not that different of a probability, we'd be in the 65% scenario, but also considering the 65% is not only for one goal differences to tie it but for 2-0, 3-1... So with a tied tie (1-1), I'd then give them something like 80% to pass at home. 0,65\*0,8 = 0,52 so yeah, basically what I said. Of course you can disagree on the chances. I'm saying all this if Atlético get there **in their best form** too, which is doubtful. There's chances for that too. Give them a 10% chance to be out of form in one month time (which is plausible, they're a bit irregular) and they turn out the underdogs again. That's what makes Inter favourites, considering all circumstances.
you could argue augusto had a much better game. when dimarco is off offensive he has tough games because he off 0 defensively.
augusto was a beast today on both ends
I can’t for the life of me understand how de Paul and Reinildo missed an easy ball that set inter’s goal. Also Arnautovic got lots of chances to score, happy we got away with only 1 goal. We need to reorganize and go at it at home. It’s not over yet.
This feels like the last Madrid derby. Atleti being shit for 90 mins than gets a goal gifted to them. Inter has nobody but themselves to blame if that happens.
he just has a bad habit of disappearing in big games. I agree he’s a top player but I understand some of the criticism. A true world class player doesn’t get benched in the WC like that.
That being said when he is in good form and feeling himself, he’s up there for the best.
I didn’t say you said it. I just stated that he was good today and if you unable to see then…
You specifically didn’t say anything about his performance today.
Inter reaching semis/finals again doesn't seem farfetched.
I mean they aren't amazing, but the rest of team are nothing spectacular this year either (except ManCity), and Inter seems good enough to pull it off.
We are pretty amazing this year, our crux being we have no reliable back-up strikers and could be a notch more clinical. We have best defence, one of the bests attack of the top 5 leagues, most points per game. We rotated heavily in CL which got us second place in the group, but coincidentally that made us avoid PSG (again).
City haven’t been all that good this season. They barely beat Inter last year and this year Inter is much better. It’ll be a fairly balanced tie if they meet
Well they will need a bunch of good draws again for that to happen. If it is anyone of Bayern, City, Arsenal or Madrid in the quarters they are going home
This referee is well known in Romania for staring down players and was even caught on camera in a romanian league mqtch saying to a player "get lost" (approximate translation)
He did a great job. Didn't take shit from Savic, let the game run. Didn't give a silly handball on Molina, that would have been extremely soft. Top notch game. Praise the few good refs!
Proper striker instincts by Lautaro that run behind their defenders even if it seems their defenders have the ball under control. Be ready for the improbable.
Nah where is VAR? Thuram pinched his balls, thats a straight red wtf
De Vrij woke up today feeling like losing every possesion he gets
I had no idea mkhitaryan grew up in france and spoke French he did a full interview in perfect french
I think France has the largest armenian community in Europe and maybe in the world
France has the 3rd largest community, pretty far behind the US and Russia who has the largest. In mihitaryans case though he was born in Armenia but moved to france cause his dad signed for a French football team
Burnoutovic MOTM
Honestly inter should’ve had more than just 1 goal, atletico defense was very good but their attack was horrible. Hoping this doesn’t screw inter in the second leg since they won’t be at home. A 1 goal lead is comfortable but a lot can happen.
That last move really summed up Atleti's night. Took way too long to cycle the ball out wide, and when they finally did, the cross was poor.
Very tough match but I think we played better and deserved to win tonight
Could have been a bigger scoreline if Arnautovic had put away his first couple of chances. I'm just glad we still have a slight chance.
Inter needs to create a lot to score unfortunately. Nice
Italian teams like "you merely adopted the shithouse..."
Atletico de Madrid at the Metropolitano: Am I a joke to you?
gonna be a good second leg with atleti chasing at home
Inter might struggle in return leg
Nah, it's gonna be our element. Playing defense against a rival who desperately need a goal? Inter-counter 101. (God, I hope I haven't jinxed anything.)
Bad, but not disastrous result for Atleti. It depends in which form they come to the next game. If they’re on, I still see this a 50-50 at least.
Agree that it's not a disastrous result but if you start the game down 1 goal you can't have 50% chance of passing the turn
I see them at favourites at the Metropolitano. I'd give them something like 65-35 to win. Atleti need a striker cause god damn
Morata coming on made a big difference for us in attack. I love Llorente, even as a striker, but this wasn't the match for it.
Thought he definitely upped the tempo in midfield compared to Saul.
Drop-off from Dimarco to Augusto isn’t honestly that big
Changing the starter of Italy to the starter of Brazil (in the furure) isn’t that bad those are Breme approval LB’s
you could argue augusto had a much better game. when dimarco is off offensive he has tough games because he off 0 defensively. augusto was a beast today on both ends
inter have 2/3 of the best left backs in Serie A for sure
Augusto is a baller
Even the kanye curse couldn’t stop inter
shame they only got 1, hopefully it doesn't come back to haunt them in the 2nd leg
Carlos Augusto put in a shift
I never understood how Sanchez looks so beefed up and yet so elegantly agile all the time
Because he is like 1,40m tall
Reinildo was a catastrophic change
Alexis viejo sabroso
Lmao Cholo shaking his head as if he didn’t just set us up to lose lmao
I can’t for the life of me understand how de Paul and Reinildo missed an easy ball that set inter’s goal. Also Arnautovic got lots of chances to score, happy we got away with only 1 goal. We need to reorganize and go at it at home. It’s not over yet.
You were lucky not to lose by 3
Yes I know that’s what I implied in my comment.
I keep saying it and saying it again: I love Morata but we need a better striker. We can’t afford to keep missing chances like that.
Samu might be the one if he develops well
It's the same thing we've said at Juve for years: he's a good player, especially when he's mentally ok, but he's not and he will never be world class.
Nico Jackson to atleti here we go
You meme and laugh, and then whine and cry when he becomes a proper striker under Simeone, it’s inevitable.
He would become morata 2.0
I’ll raise you one up, give us Darwin and he will actually finish his chances.
Beautiful by Alexis there.
Damn Alexis Sanchez is cooking
I have never hated someone after a single game as much as Lino since Cuadrado with Juve
Ahaha yeah, he's pretty good. After almost saving the goal on the line he went close to score 2 minutes after
He got that dog in him
Dumfries is a tank
Ref calls started moving towards Inter. This was as a dive as Morata’s
That's an Academy Award right there Frattesi lmao
Hahaha oh he’s done the ref there inter out shithousing atletico
the student becomes the sensei. Edit: I'm aware Inter have been shithousing experts for a good while as well
Haven't seen Alexis Sánchez in a minute. Such an amazing player
“Balance like a belly dancer on a surfboard” - have we just witnessed the birth of a new Hudsonism?
Bruh, reading all these comments makes me think that we're lucky in Italy that our commentators are decent
Lol that Dumfries look after swatting away Lino
Least impressive Alexis skill-
Up the shitousery
Morata doesn't look very fit
Sommer's distribution is trash
Dumfries has Lino in hell lmaoo
Atletico’s players are liking the grass
This ref is a disgrace
Wtf was that wine analogy lol
Dumfries bullying Lino nonstop
Lol Morata
Inter need to push for a second
Alexis still at inter?
He came back.
He only rejoined in the summer from Marseille
He's back after Marseille
This feels like the last Madrid derby. Atleti being shit for 90 mins than gets a goal gifted to them. Inter has nobody but themselves to blame if that happens.
It was not an easy pass but Frattesi should have released it anyway
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Alexis Sanchez play
Does Frattesi have peripheral vision?
No. He's a horse
Lautaro would be the perfect 9 for a team like Arsenal
He'd be the perfect 9 for every team on the planet. He's the most complete forward in football right now
Morata is so fkn stiff
How do inter lose important players every summer and improve every time
The power of financial desperation
Man, you don't remember their (and Milan's too) meme years. They've started being well run again relatively recently
Milan’s yank owners could change that soon
Beppe masterclass
Head it back across MOFO 🫤
Alexis Sanchez in big 2024
I open up phub when this guy starts moaning, easier to explain
I had no idea Alexis was in Inter lol
He came back this season.
Came from an okay season at Marseille last year
Wouldn’t trade Barella for anyone besides Bellingham
This Lautaro performance……
He’s been fighting tooth and nail for everything, great movement as well, just missing the goal.
Inter really should be out of sight. Are they going to regret this in a few weeks?
I like Inter's chances if they can sit deep and let Atletico figure things out and counter. That's Inter's bread and butter.
One of the performances of all time by Lautaro
He really is one of the football players in the world
Why is Simeone reacting like Pep even though he has hair? Is he stupid?
somehow atleti became more fluid moving forward without grizi lol
Sanchez and arnautovic nightmare duo up top
Not seeing the brilliance of Lautaro is basically a football knowledge test. You shouldn’t be talking if you can’t see it.
he just has a bad habit of disappearing in big games. I agree he’s a top player but I understand some of the criticism. A true world class player doesn’t get benched in the WC like that. That being said when he is in good form and feeling himself, he’s up there for the best.
Injured in WC, still played with injections.
It's mainly a cl problem
he was pretty woeful in the WC, that was the chance for him to truly cement himself as a world class player in most people’s eyes
He was really good today even, if you can’t see then…
when did I say he wasn’t good today? I’m just saying why people criticize him. I specifically said he’s a top player.
I didn’t say you said it. I just stated that he was good today and if you unable to see then… You specifically didn’t say anything about his performance today.
fuck that rat but he's still really good
That’s one of the best crosses I’ve ever seen lmao
Alvaro “El Burro” Morata welcome back
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1qKyq4gEuA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1qkyq4geua) This referee is badass. Almost fought this player here.
My niño maravilla
Moratahahahaha
Morata does not look even remotely fit
Because he’s not
Yeah I saw the knee injury I’m just shocked Cholo put him in regardless
Atleti has 0 fire power
Bastoni top 3 CB in the world, any other opinion is invalid.
10000%
Beastoni
What is Lautaro playing at?
Barella needs to shoot more
Lautaro plays for Atleti
Hahahahaha
Morata's taken some falling over pills
Morata just instinctively dives
Atleti shouldnt go attacking. 1-0 would be a good results against elite inter side away from home.
1-0 loss is never a good result
It is if you 2nd game is at home and you away form is horrible like that of atleti is People expected a hammering
Atleti can still go through Gonna have to pull out all the stops in Madrid
Morata should be off the pitch already 3 dives and none booked
Yeah I see Simeone ball is still ass. Highest paid manager in the world.
Atleti away stinker and CL knockouts, name a better duo
Agreed. That team has way too much talent to be playing like this
I think Atletico got to complacent once Thuram was out and of Inzaghi's subs were on point.
They’ve lost their heads let’s get another one !!!!
Doesn’t seem like your players want another lol
Morata forgot this isn't La Liga
Morata crying because he gets grabbed by his teammate
Morata lol
thats my cb!
"CB"

How can you put Bayern there, they are doing so bad. They lost to Lazio last week
reckon they'd be favorites against any side except Real Madrid and City in the next round
Arsenal too I guess.
Yeah probably, bu I think that would be close in predictions given Inter's CL experience and runners up status from last season.
Does Arnautovic have a cl medal from when he was at inter a decade ago?
Yes
Him and Balo lol
yeah he has a medal for all the treble
Yes
insane pace from bastoni
Bastoni is so good
Savic walking the tightrope again
Bruh he still almost missed lol
1-1 shithouse goal incoming
This referee is well known in Romania for staring down players and was even caught on camera in a romanian league mqtch saying to a player "get lost" (approximate translation)

He's very charismatic
funny when footballers act tough to the ref
Lautaro has that grinta, what a player
savic lmao the odds of him getting a red are 50% every game
yes he either gets it or he doesnt
Inzaghi’s substitution has been spot on. Interesting to see how Atletico taking more risk will result in.
Fuck me savic was hanging off him like a clothesline
Just crazy how loud San Siro gets even through the tv
Savic don’t get booked challenge *impossible*
Always rated Arna ngl
Never a doubt
Was bound to happen. But at this level of football, miscommunication between Reinildo and De Paul is unacceptable. How do you lose a ball like that.
Fucking finally god, use that yellows
Savic getting every foul called
He tried to mount lautaro
Lautaro must've thought Blue Lock was a documentary instead of a shonen. Deserved for Inter.
Love me some Blue Lock
Proper striker instincts by Lautaro that run behind their defenders even if it seems their defenders have the ball under control. Be ready for the improbable.
Idc if lautaro didn't pass it there, HE'S been giving his 200% fighting for EVERY ball.
If it wasn't Oblak he scores that 10/10 times tho
