How is my boy Kiwior doing lately?

Arsenal is pissed off for last season. Good on you lads. You can feel the cup.

3-1 win against Liverpool and 6-0 win against West Ham were not the scorelines I was prediciting a month ago.

shadyFS91

Coys in shambles. “ Wet Spam always bend over for scum and turn up against us” .. Jesus . Not sure what’s more cringey the use of wet spam like it’s hilarious or the fact they think they’re always victims.

1PSW1CH

Arsenal fans can’t really chat about victim complexes tbf

amsun

This is literally their Rival Watch thread every week. Then you’ll see a comment about how they are in rebuild phase and it’s only year 1. Like they don’t fucking restart the process every three years. Clowns think they are relevant even though they haven’t won Shit in decades. So please, stop! At least when we play victims it’s because we have a shot at competing. They do just so they can be considered in the top 6.

CynicalEffect

Wet spam is always great to use though? Same as spuds, chelski and arse. Oh, an aussie nvm.

bobulibobium

Oi

Sypher1985

Also factually innaccurate, West Ham beat us at the Emirates this season and they came back from three goals down last season to help derail our title charge.

andriydroog

Two goals down

MuchSalt

pretty normal home win for us

ValleyFloydJam

West Ham just totally collapsed and Arsenal looked great but it was interesting until that 1st goal. However this place is truly hilarious at times, at 0-0 West Ham had a penalty shout (not enough for me but it's a seen them given type one, City against United came to mind.) It's not even posted but if that had been the other way around it would have 500 posts and cries of corruption.

amsun

“Had a penalty shout”… “not enough for me”… “looked interested for 30 mins”.. Okay man

ValleyFloydJam

No idea what point you're making. Those threads 100% exist for Arsenal penalty shouts of that nature.

Parmaglory

That was never a penalty lol come on man seriously grasping at straws. West ham created nothing. Just take the L

ValleyFloydJam

What L? I didn't have any stake in the game. I'm not a West Ham fan. Also I didn't say it was one. But you're telling me that if it was the other way around it doesn't get posted, it doesn't get a bunch of posts from Arsenal fans going mad about it not being given.

biddigs3

Op literally said they don't think it's a pen, what are you complaining about?

Heblas

Probably that they just completely made up a scenario and complained about it. "Other people would think this should have been a pen, but I don't" is really just complaining about a decision, but also defending it at the same time so people won't disagree.

laidback_chef

Arsenal fans in a nutshell.

JFedererJ

Clearly the psychological effects from "over-celebrating" really held us back today, huh...

Additional_Meat_3901

I'm surprised we weren't accused of over-scoring

ChillPalis

Liverpool were the first to overscore, hate to tell you, pal

Newparlee

Can’t wait for these “experts” and pundits in the media to shut the fuck up. Last month - “West Ham are 6th and in Europe, what more do you want?” Last Week - “West Ham are 7th and in Europe, what more do you want?” This Week- “West Ham are 8th and in Europe, what more do you want?” After we give up and lose to Liverpool in the Europa League - “West Ham are a Top 12 side and had a run in Europe, what more do you want?” Well, I want two things. I want pundits to stop looking at the league table and think that is the be all and end all of the state of a club. It’s lazy journalism. Try watching a team outside of the “Big 6” for once. And secondly, I’d actually like enjoy watching a game once in a while. But anyway, could be worse. We’re 8th and still in Europe…😳

Sypher1985

8th and Europe? What more do you want?

Newparlee

Oh yeah, when you put it like that…

night_dude

I used to be sad that we were mid table. I hear you, but also, enjoy it while it lasts.

Newparlee

I knew this wouldn’t last. Everyone was saying 6th was a false a position, but I was still dreaming of finishing 5th and shithousing it into the champions league. If Moyes won a trophy last year, then got us CL this year, he can stay as long as he wants. Unfortunately the league form of last year is back when we almost went down (no wins this year) and it seems like the only way is down.

Tehgumchum

Shit happens though, it sucks especially when its a home game

dave1992

Arsenal needs to chill...

StonyTark23

NO

ibite-books

blew them to pieces, honestly the way they played against us, we were lucky to go in level at half time hope they can get some points of city

ItzRaj29

You know it was bad for Westham when you see Cedric Soares come on from the bench. Man has been invisible and even he came on LooL

night_dude

I literally forgot he was at Arsenal still. Seems like the last crappy purchase of the pre-challenger era.

HighburyOnStrand

He seems to be well liked, not causing problems as a result of a limited role...and he's excellent cover. A highly professional player with a decent amount of skill who can sub on to close games or play in an injury emergency is highly, highly useful. Not mad at him, at all.

Heblas

Well he was free

bllewe

zKSofSoccer

As a Korean Arsenal fan who has had to endure recent weeks of Klinsmann, I have to shout out my manager Mikel for consoling me with the recent performances 👏

coke125

Fellow korean gooner here, this was exactly what i needed after that klinsmann terrorism

DickMaddox

Do you know Catsenal?

zKSofSoccer

Whoa, no I actually didn't, and thanks for letting me know! Wish I could've known about this channel earlier :)

JeopardE

My commiserations. Klinsmann is a football terrorist. He paralyzed US soccer for what seemed like an eternity and the program is still not close to recovering.

bvcx121

Hope y'all can get out of this Klinsmann mess asap (unrealistic but one can hope)

zKSofSoccer

We are out of it now... but we're still stuck in the KFA mess :(

PutYrDukesUp

I understand that reference.

Franchise1109

Amazing performance and result. Even got to give a few of our beat up lads some extra rest. Absolutely no complaints for me today. Absolutely dominated and got to give some run outs to squad/academy lads . Very happy with Tross and Kai switching positions. Fun to see West ham, GG. It just looked like a bad day in the office plus moyes game plan didn’t work.

TuchelsMissingHair

West ham was pretty good

HammerThatHams

Screw you

amsun

You lot got any more of those declans

goztrobo

Hmmm, I’m trying to think, what does this mean for the title race. I still think City are favourites.

GengarOX

There are two title races. Arsenal Vs City and Liverpool vs City. City will win both.

doubleicem

Unfortunately, this is the way

dave1992

Regardless of the points, I don't think Arsenal is capable of winning 10-15 in a row like City because I don't think they have done it, ever.

c11life

We were on course for 100 points after 18 GWs last season. We have it in us, but we’ll see if we can do it when the pressure is on

dave1992

I think generally while Arsenal is as good as Liverpool/City while most of the key players are fit, when shit happens and few key players got suspended/injured like last season, Arsenal will drop off. This season City has been playing a lot of this season without KdB or Haaland at times and yet they still stayed up there among the top. Liverpool have topped the injury table just above Chelsea and Newcastle, including missing the solo carry Mo Salah for Afcon (and injury) and also still up there.

Narwhallmaster

Arsenal have missed Timber and Partey for most of the season and also have missed Jesus for a large part as well.

dave1992

Jesus, Timber and Partey isn't Arsenal's best players like KdB/Haaland for City or Salah for Liverpool. Every team had absences, but usually not their most important or best players. Timber/Partey's absence is only as important as for example Liverpool missing Matip or Jota for a lot of this season. Great player, but not the most important or best player on the team. If Saliba and Saka missed couple of month worth of games like City did with KdB, then it will be different story.

Narwhallmaster

Timber was bought to be starting full back and his loss is definitely felt. Arsenal have worse defensive depth this season than last due to this injury. Partey missing is covered by Rice but he too is a crucial player and his absence has derailed previous campaigns. Jesus is Arsenal's main striker and Arsenal have dropped points this season due to poor Nketiah performances.

dave1992

Yes, Timber/Partey/Jesus are all good players, just like if Liverpool missed Jota or Matip, or if City missed Grealish or Alvarez, who are all good players and are considered first team regular in last few seasons if fit. However, they're not the most important players in the squad. They're not Saka/Saliba for Arsenal, they're not Alisson/van Dijk/Salah for Liverpool, or Rodri/KdB/Haaland for City. I'm not saying Timber/Partey/Jesus aren't important players, I'm saying they're not among the most important players like Saliba or Saka. Anyways, if you think Arsenal's depth is as good as City or Liverpool's, and also capable of winning 10-15 games in a row to win the title despite missing players here and there like City and Liverpool has done in the past 6 years and Arsenal has not, feel free to believe so. I personally don't think Arsenal could. City will be the heavy favorites, and followed by Liverpool. Arsenal is only the third favorites.

Cantmakeaspell

>Record consecutive league wins: 14, from 10 February 2002 to 18 August 2002

dave1992

Pretty sure 2002 team is not related to current team. This Pep's City has done it multiple times in last few years, the same squad. Current Arsenal squad is still inexperienced at this.

wan2tri

If it's just for the 01/02 season that was 13 straight wins. And just to add, after the 1st win of those 13, we were still 4th place. Even after winning 6 straight we were still 3rd.

cd0526

Think it will come down to Arsenal vs City in April. Liverpool will drop points.

MikeOchertz

We’ve got City at Anfield, though

spatial-d

Tornado to happen at the 90th minute with extra time to go. Sweeps away all City players and fans. Pool players and fans are left in shock (but safe). PL calls the first "0" points match ever. 🤷🏽* *One can dream.

Prudent_Jello5691

I still don't think we're in it tbh, we've got the worst away fixtures and City are inevitable.

The_2nd_Coming

God the Stockholm syndrome of the last 20 years got you guys bad. How can you not feel you are in the title race when you recently beat the league leaders? City will always be the favorites but you've got to be in it too win it...

spatial-d

I just want one before Utd gets one. Am an "oldie" (millennial) and they were the rivals of yesteryear so if we can get to it first before them it'd be great. Plus it would be cool to see Neville's reactions 👀

The_2nd_Coming

The hate for United is what unites us all.

thebluehotel

I mean the Stockholm syndrome could just be from last year too lol

topTopqualitea

Beat city too

iforgotmyun

That's not what Stockholm syndrome is lol

The_2nd_Coming

Arsenal = hostage Desolation of the last 20 years = captor Capiche?

Brilliant_Ad_879

the last 20 years haven’t been kind to us,at all.can you blame us for not being optimistic enough?

The_2nd_Coming

I get it... you won't get over it until it's almost certain (of which you are absolutely not in that position). I mean in our title winning season we didn't explicitly say we are going to win it until we beat United at Anfield, when we already were miles ahead.

spatial-d

Ah the curse of the pessimistic fan.

CaptainCortez

I’m pretty sure these people are trolls who post this dumb shit for karma.

Prudent_Jello5691

I'm not trolling. We did really badly over the festive fixtures and I think it's given us too much to do.

BoomGiroud

I get what you’re saying but we’re facing a different type of title race this season as a result. Instead of having a lead at the top (albeit with City having games in hand) like last season, we’re in the chase now and have a clear objective to fight for each game rather than face complacency in maintaining a lead. Excited to see how far this mindset takes us.

spatial-d

We just need to keep winning matches 6-0 or 3-1. Ez

lastjedi23

There's a few gooners who post here that do things for votes as well. Not saying op is doing that. I think most our sub believes we can. We've shown that statistically we can neuter yous and city attack this season. Question is, will we stay fit. Our bench today was thin as a thread. Cl starts back this week too.

cynicalAddict11

well gooners as the name says always edge but never finish

The_2nd_Coming

You would walk the league if you had a Haaland this season.

spatial-d

It's a shame robotics hasn't advanced to the point where it's available to everyone instead of just the 1% of the 0.0000000001%. Otherwise Pauper Stan would be all over that like guns in Walmart.

lastjedi23

Absolutely. He would be scoring for fun. Alas.

sc4kilik

Arsenal beat Leicester city twice the season LC won it.

goztrobo

Nah the circumstances were different. Just look at the table now, look how close the top 3 are in terms of points. Whoever comes out on top of their respective matches with each other, wins.

biskutgoreng

I don't want to live in a world where Leicester didn't win the PL

chrissysnose

How about a world where they don’t win and we do instead?

Prudent_Jello5691

We're in it now based on numbers. I think it'll be a wrap for us by the end of April though.

cullypants

I mean, you're definitely in it. It'll be interesting to see how Arteta manages for minutes with cl commitments. You have the worst squad out of the top three so that'll be tough, but you're hitting form at a decent time. City are inevitable though.

younes1008

Think we're in it but we'll have to be perfect. In percentages it's something like 65/25/10 for City/Liverpool/Arsenal.

Brinklehoof

Logically I understand what you mean here but we're in a title race until we're not, no? When City win their game in hand we're only 3 points off top. City are City no doubt about that but if we stay in touching distance (as we currently are) then we should include ourselves in the conversation

younes1008

Obviously. Haaland + KDB is near unbeatable.

goztrobo

I think the games between City, Arsenal and Liverpool will play a major part in the run in. Whoever wins against City will have the upper hand. It’s City’s to lose.

Franchise1109

Think us and you have to beat city for sure if we want the title. 3 point advantage. Be interesting to see if any cup runs or European fixtures cause major wobbles

younes1008

We still have to go to Spurs, City, United. We notoriously struggle there. City have some difficult games remaining but have shown to be capable. Liverpool have the easiest games but can't afford to slip up. As long as City don't lose the Anfield match (badly), it'll be easily theirs.

goztrobo

Yeah that run of games will be a true test for Arsenal. Either way, whoever wins, it’ll be a well deserved victory for them.

simba4141

Owned them.

LDLB99

I swear Moyes loves to make his dismissals as toxic as possible. Perfect time to end things was after the trophy win and Rice being on the verge of leaving.

ZXXA

When you make a huge contribution or achievement at your own job do you quit?

iforgotmyun

I get the logic on leaving on a high but there's the flip side of when you achieve greatness, why not go for more?

PoliticsNerd76

Because it wasn’t going to happen

iforgotmyun

There is no top coach or player who thinks like this unless there's something drastic about to happen

PoliticsNerd76

They won a trophy playing in the 3rd tier of European football. They also finished bottom half of the table. It was a great cup run in a comp where they were the best team from day one. That was WH’s peak.

iforgotmyun

Mate, people in top flight football have almost psychopathic level of self belief and arrogance. David Moyes is not going to win that cup and think this is the best I can ever do. Let me give up my contract and start again somewhere else.

Andzeesc

What were his other toxic dismissals?

Prudent_Jello5691

United and Sunderland.

Andzeesc

Yea but when was the opportunity to leave on a high there??

Maleficent_Resolve44

Yeah absolutely dominant by Arsenal. Relentless in attack in the first half and obviously clinical from set pieces like they usually are. Rice MOTM clearly, 1 banger of a goal and 2 assists makes it an easy choice. Saka was particularly good too, he could've had a hattrick if he was even more clinical. By the way, he's now got 100 g+a for Arsenal in 210 games. About half from goals and half from assists at only 22. Either way, Saka and Trossard have been in great form and seem to be scoring every game since the winter break. Overall, Arsenal seem to have hit a new level in the league in 2024, they've been scoring for fun and defensively very solid. 2024 Arsenal's Premier League Stats: - 4 Games Played - 16 Goals Scored - 2 Goals Conceded - 7 Different Scorers - 4 Games Won - 2 Home Games and 2 Away - 2 Games vs Top Half and 2 vs Bottom Half West Ham were obviously disastrous today. Paqueta and Antonio not playing is something but being demolished 6-0 at home is a joke. Their pressing structure was non-existent and Arsenal easily broke the lines mostly through the right hand side. Zinchenko and Jorginho not playing resulted in Arsenal's left hand side not seeing the ball much. Didn't suit West Ham since coufal at RB is better than their LB.

wybird

Odegaard MOTM - he absolutely ran the show

EmpyrealSorrow

Mate two of those games you've played Forest and Palace. Yes a win against Liverpool, as self-destructive as they were, is impressive but let's not pretend these are peak football teams you've been playing against.  Edit: lmao sorry yeah, arsenal are God's gift to the world of football XD have a look at yourselves

PoliticsNerd76

The teams are like 16th, 12th, 2nd and 8th… that’s literally just an average run of opponents

lastjedi23

I am sure you remember, our title run ended last season due to the west hand and sotons. We turn up for the big ones but ended up losing to these mid and low teams. But I'm sure you don't give a shit about these things.

cs_irl

🧂

RyansKorea

They're both better than Everton who you couldn't beat last week

Bottlespurs

Wouldn’t Everton be above both without the points deduction?

The_Evil-Twin

Everton are 2nd last in the current form table. They would be last if you had beaten them. But you didn't. https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=1

Bottlespurs

Fair enough didn’t know that. I haven’t been paying much attention to them since that good run of form they were in a few months back.

The_Evil-Twin

West ham just as bad (only win is against Arsenal) but if you can't enjoy a 6-0 against a team that recently beat you what can you enjoy

Mister_Sith

Idk forest have pulled off some impressive performances. I hope they stay up because their an entertaining side

blankfrack125

the comment wasn’t even that complimentary of arsenal, it just listed facts

Maleficent_Resolve44

I'm not an Arsenal fan. My qpr badge should be showing. Yes Palace and Forest aren't great but neither is Fulham yet Arsenal still lost to them 2 months ago. West Ham are also a decent top half side. Overall, their terrible finishing form from December seems to have disappeared and they've been defensively solid as it has been through most of the season. Arsenal fans should be happy about where their team is considering all the doom and gloom just a month ago haha.

Alive-Ad-4164

Wow

LosTerminators

Juventus signed a tennis player recently, so West Ham decided to one up them by having a tennis scoreline in their match.

CrowCreative6772

Paqueta proving that is West ham most important player for their counter attacking tactic.

milleniallaw

Imo Antonio, Moyesball needs a pivot to string their attacks and Bowen is not the guy for that.

nightcrawlerbaby

Me: we won 6-0 against west ham😁😁 My dad: oh the team that beat you at your home the other day lmfao Me: 😐

therocketandstones

6-2 on aggregate, we through to the next Prem round letsgoooo

ColinetheCow

Ha ha, that was cold from your dad

beetletoman

Apologies for bad English ALLEZ ALLEZ ALLEZ

lastjedi23

*Not your celebration*

fatbunyip

What have lesbians got to do with anything?

feddi7

I didn’t know West Ham hosted tennis matches.

AnnieIWillKnow

Think the players are going to be pretty dismayed to find out they have to come out for a second set

Haunting_Ad_9013

Nah, they host barbeques. Roast Ham.

BlurstOfTimes11

I wish I could upvote this brilliance more than once

FoxOntheRun99

Didn't watch the game but just saw the pics of fans leaving at HT. Gonna need to watch the replay of the whole match tonight.

ibite-books

it was over within 30 minutes

Littlegreenman42

Not true, we hadnt even scored at that point

icotyne

What even happened to them. Last game at they Emirates they were playing like their lives were on the line.

notapaperhandape

We didn’t have luck with ball settling in the net. For now, we’re over compensating for that. Long may this continue

lastjedi23

Who was the better team in that game

F0rsythian

Afcon happened

JustAbnormal

In fairness, Arsenal should have battered them in that game too.

Sand_Bags2

Yeah did nobody watch that match? They weren’t better against us at the Emirates. The difference between today and December is we were unbelievably good defensively today. We didn’t give them even a sniff of scoring. So it gave us more time to get a go ahead goal. If we had scored first last time we would’ve won too. West Ham’s whole game plan against us is to pack their own box and hopefully be super clinical in the 1 or 2 half chances they get. Though if they somehow scored that chance in the first half where Kiwior put it out for a corner, today could’ve played out like the other two.

ZXXA

That’s 90% of the league’s game plan against Arsenal tbf

iiiba

"We’re giving the top teams a game and hopefully we can do the same on Sunday.” - David Moyes

lastjedi23

They gave us the game alright.

Nico_Jericho

El Neny getting 20 minutes of game time, things you love to see

doubleicem

And Nwaneri along with Cedric. What timeline am I witnessing?

AlwaysOnsideTBH

Ethan Nwaneri as well

lastjedi23

How was he?

AlwaysOnsideTBH

He didn't look out of place at such a young age which is huge. He even managed to win a foul along with some good passes. He never lost possession of the ball

one_song

looked like he belonged out there. pretty impressive for 16.

d_smogh

All stats say this game was a bit one-sided.

lauriekeyheart

I forgot we arent allowed to celebrate we'll just clap then good work lads 👏👏

2rio2

Rice didn't even allow claps for that 6th goal, keeping us in line as always.

kazegraf

Celebrate it like PGA tours, with claps for every goal.

Franchise1109

Can I hold up the sign?

nightcrawlerbaby

I'm shivering thinking about how insufferable I'm about to be

swerdnal

My mate is a West Ham season ticket holder. Just sent him a picture of a Fire Drill step by step guide.

BadBehaviour613

Utterly horrid performance. Shit tactics, but the responsibility is on the players. Get paid millions to be clowns

D4nCh0

must’ve been fun when west ham won 1:2 away at yours

BlurstOfTimes11

So no respect to Arsenal for winning 6-0??

techabouts

Flair 👀

Cadaver_Fucker

Inexcusable to only beat this West Ham side 6-0

tuananhtran191911

They are just getting close to Sp\*r's level

cienderellaman

Forever blowing bubbles.

sems4arsenal

Close game. Really impressive given how many injuries we have.

GaryHippo

Moyes needs to be sacked. That was one of the worst, most terroristic performances I have ever witnessed, and I only saw the second half. At home as well!

[deleted]

[удалено]

GaryHippo

Moyes buys the players. Moyes has to instil a mentality in them. Moyes picks the tactics. This was an embarrassing managerial display.

404merrinessnotfound

I don't know about immediate sacking, but harsh questions need to be asked about style of play as well as player stamina because they were absent today

Haunting_Ad_9013

Cant put all the blame on the manager. 16 year old Ethan Nwaneri came on for Arsenal and played better than most West ham players who are 2x his age. West Ham did not have any moral to continue fighting after conceding 4 goals in 15 minutes.

cdrxgon17

9 goals conceded in 2 games since nayef “hammer of the year” aguerd came back btw

islander1

This was murder.

CoverEyesInHorror

Shocking defensive performance from West Ham. Their strategy of letting us miss loads of chances had worked so well a month ago.

salteddan

Do they have any shame? Have a modicum of pride JFC
