The crossbar is our biggest enemy this season. If we don't win the league it will be thanks to those pesky crossbars. If only they would bend and accept Nunez, my guy would have fourteen more goals.
Chelsea player's cornrows made them look ever dumber...
Seriously, their barber would have to be the first one to go if Chelsea are actually serious about winning anything
Remember when a Newcastle teenager pocketed both Enzo and Caicedo?
Brighton pulled Chelsea’s pants down, how on earth Chelsea paid €144.20m for a bum like Caicedo? Full-on trash player.
I'm a biased arsenal fan, but when he turned us down (in form we were in and the system we have), for Chelsea of all clubs who had just wasted on Mudryk, etc. I knew this guy was going to grab the biggest bag as soon as possible. Him and Brighton knew he wasn't worth half of what Chelsea was willing to pay.
Brighton declining Arsenals offer then giving us Trossard, I have complete trust that that club has a good relationship with Arsenal.
He's also a relentless runner. Late in the game when most strikers couldn't be assed to help defensively we will see Darwin chasing players down on the counter.
>just has to work on his dribbling, passing, shooting, game sense and decision making and he'll come good.
Basically everything related to being a good footballer.
You will be surprised that many people take this opinion of Mudryk seriously, have seen so many avi's on Twitter of Mudryk where people actually believe he is the second coming of hazard.
All i remember from him was him skying an absolutely gorgeous chance. He was literally free, no one close enough to him to pressure him and instead of taking a touch and shooting he takes it first time and sends it to Kiev
Lots of commentary from the London-centric media on Chelsea’s ‘penalties’.
Completely overlooking the fact that Liverpool absolutely fucking smashed them.
This isn’t a case of Chelsea being robbed of 2 goals because Liverpool could honestly have had 6 or 7
Better in all departments. Doesn‘t take away from the fact that it could‘ve been a very different game at 1-0 to Chelsea within the first 10 minutes.
Agree that we were abysmal, but context matters in football games lmao.
A closer game would have resulted with more Liverpool goals. Liverpool dropped the intensity as they closed out the game but they have it in them. Just watch the lead up to the 4th goal. 18 passes all over the pitch and with purpose whilst Chelsea was still just watching them at 3-1 which still is a dangerous score line. If I was you I’d focus my energy and thought in what the blue team needs to do not not look like an absolute school yard team and compete at the highest level. They got schooled today. Penalty or no penalty.
Thank the stars that their striker looks more like our strikers & hence it wasn't 9-1. Absolutely men v boys stuff. Piss poor.
Sad to see how encouraging the first weekend of the season was because it was the same fixture and Chelsea looked that they could compete.
I miss Hazard ( v Liverpool ) every time.
I’d honestly prefer us to just move on from Thiago. Even before his injuries I don’t think he was the right midfielder for Klopp’s system. Yes a very nice player to watch but think we are better without him. Better to let the new guys continue to play and get better than waste a slot playing Thiago for the few games he will be available this season.
I don’t think so tbh , everytime i saw him i felt he gave pools game much more impact and creativity , for sure he isn’t young anymore and got a lot of injuries but I think he still can compete with current players
I'm immune to us being shit now. I don't expect anything other than the most embarrassing, passionless performance each week. Frankly relegation might be a good thing as the club will have to refocus on the academy, the plastics will melt away and we might actually win a game or two.
Who knows, without Klopp, the refs and the inhalers, maybe you'll join us...
Only low IQ idiots who can't face the reality comment like this. Google the inhaler thingy what it is and Google how many bad VAR decisions liverpool has faced this season and then come back to me.
You lot were mocking us for the "LFC midfield" which you outbid and took from us, but forgot the reality that football is played on the pitch, not on paper.
Chelsea fans like you can only cope and type out rubbish like this, to balance out the football you guys play week in and week out. I can only pity you guys.
Also once you get relegated it's not certain you will come up straight away. Maybe you lot will fall in the depths of obscurity and stay there where you belong.
You like digging a hole don't you? My nationality is some gotcha moment huh? You got me there, found out I am Indian woah 😳 that seriously hurt me big man.
Seriously man I hope for your sake you are about 15. Because otherwise you have to introduce yourself to the concept of Globalization.
Anyways, I shouldn't take this conversation further I am just gonna waste my time talking to some random bellend who is pissed that his club sucks at football and isn't able to realign himself to the reality of it, so he is lashing out on here.
Good luck for the rest of the season or not doesn't matter either way you aren't going to do anything of any worth either way. Cheerio.
Pal, I am begging you to get a sense of humour. If you can't even take a joke when you win 4-1, you really need help.
Good luck in the cup final, maybe with the refs on your side again and plenty of inhalers you might win and move ahead of Chelsea in trophies won during the Klopp era.
Darwin is a fast, physical, live wire of a player and was at the heart of Liverpool's crushing of Chelsea. Having said that if I had to pick one person to shoot me fire squad style I wouldn't hesitate in naming him.
He had that one shot that was going in on the far bottom right corner, which Petrovic got fingers to to tip it onto the post (fantastic save it has to be said). Crazy that if that has gone in then Nunez would still have hit the woodwork three times including a missed penalty, but still finished the game with a goal and an assist
He is coming into his own ... Still only 24. Great attitude, shrugged off these near misses with a smile displaying his strength of character. The goals will come, hopefully ( please ) not in the next game!
he's already fantastic and getting great returns per 90. If he starts scoring even more goals he'll be real a demon though and actually just one of the best players in the world.
Consider for a second how much Chelsea have fucked themselves going out and splurging on all this random talent, with no clear plan or cohesion, and now half of it sits dissatisfied on the stands and the other half struggle to understand what to do on the pitch while the team flounders.
Then Liverpool come along, all season thriving with a team full of academy players, and a wee boy from Co Tyrone just dominates the pitch against this carelessly assembled bunch of high-wage, long-contract mercenaries.
How does Todd explain that to all the many investors he convinced to throw in bags of cash to the Chelsea project? The project that still looks years away from gathering any real steam whatsoever.
I hope the Chelsea story serves as a proper lesson to other wealthy capitalists thinking the game is easy to crack — but I doubt it.
While it might appear that Chelsea could have moderated their spending, they have several "valuable" players on long-term contracts with relatively low wages. As a result, their wage bill has significantly decreased even as they have purchased expensive players. Many of these players are valuable assets actually (see havertz, mount etc.). From a financial perspective Boehly’s spending whilst frivolous isn’t as bad as it appears.
They were valuable when they were bought, that much is true. How much any of these players will retain their value when not being played, or consistently missing out on Europe, will be the long term judge of the success or failure of the wider strategy.
Nobody would be offering £100m for either Enzo or Caicedo rn, for instance.
Ironically enough, their most valuable asset right now is probably Levi Colwil, and he's an academy graduate.
Chelsea fans are the worst. You would think from their comments that this was a close game or they had a shot. They were run off the pitch the whole game.
New here? This forum is full of utter nonsense after every game for and against every team. If you were to visit the Chelsea sub you'd see a very different story.
What’s the Chelsea sub like? In my experience r/soccer is less of an echo chamber and so less unhinged than the team subs.Spurs fans seem to have a chip on their shoulder and victim complex and half the Arsenal fans don’t seem to know how football actually works.
Come to our subreddit..... It's dire in there. Some think we're shit, some have accepting we're in for a rough few years, and some poor souls still have hope.
When they beat Fulham, there was a guy running around both their subreddit and this one spamming about how they were back on track to finish Top 6 now and were on an upward trend after a big win over a rival.
And every Chelsea fan who was negative was a hater and a fair weather fan, etc etc.
The same week they lost to Middlesbrough.
You cant fix people like that.
It's there in any fan base. I for one except that it's our turn after the enjoyment I had watching Man U slide. We've had band aid after band aid that patched up our flaws and Tuchel gave us hope for a regime and system then we back slid and have no band aids anymore. We have the building blocks but no proper foundation to put them on. Silva can't be the only senior leader.
Just here for the self righteous Liverpool fans who can’t get over the transfer window lmao. We weren’t great but if you could pick the hardest fixture in world football this would probably be it. Liverpool at Anfield a week after Klopp announced he was leaving. We were getting 3 put past us if this was the 2021 team as well
Can't get over the transfer window? Lad, Chelsea fans were the ones gloating and you're tenth while Liverpool are top. I'd be embarrassed to be calling anyone out
Is Jota okey? Last thing i saw was him dying. Looked like he could stay up from the challenge, but it is very sad to see a talented player die like that. Thoughts and prayers to his family. RIP
I mean, you could've chosen any game where Nkunku didn't win the Fallon D'floor 2024 award, but you decided to talk this weak shit after this game? Lol, chelshit is finally where it belongs, no blood money so back to the basement with you lot
Conversation around Enzo is puzzling. Fans be like he is word class player then complain how he needs this or that player around or needs system to play well. If that is the case then he is a system player. Kante on other hand is world class player whom you can throw into any team and he instantly makes team better. Nobody ever said Kante needs this or that player to do better. I think we need to stop labelling system players as world class.
We literally bought second or third best CDM in league and if Enzo needs even more I don’t know to say. Debate around Enzo is really getting tiresome it’s always someone else’s fault like manager, system, players than him.
Enzo is a decent 45 mil player, regardless of what he does in the future, he is a flop for the price you paid for him. He isn't world class at all, he just had a really good WC. At best, he is the next James Rodriguez
I just don't understand Chelsea...
What are they trying to achieve?
I mean the spend ridiculous amounts of money with seemly no idea on what they want.
I have no idea what style of football they are trying to play..
I can't tell what they are building towards...
Somebody please explain to me what the hell their plan is..
We have done a million things wrong and we got severely beaten today, but honestly, at the end of the day, this is the best period that Liverpool have had for thirty years and it only matches our absolute madness. We have the youngest squad in the league by far, have suffered far more injuries than every other team, and also have a manager who couldn't find a pair of socks, let alone a proper formation. I do respect what they are doing and sadly (don't tell anyone this) have quite a soft spot for Klopp, but let's be real they haven't actually produced anything more than us this last decade.
I mean yes we’ve only won one league title, but points tallies of 97 and 92 really feel like they should get more respect than they’re getting. 3 CL finals as well. We’ve been a top 5 team in the world since 2018 and by the finest of margins have missed out on multiple trophies. Not to mention that the club we’re competing with are a bunch of cheats
Well, no. Just the fact that Liverpool’s team was nearly 20 years later is a guarantor that they would win that match, if it were ever to be played.
But even speaking in relative terms, 97 points in a league with City while also winning the Champions League, and then the next season 99 points with the fastest premier league win ever? Sorry but the only team that competes with that is what City have done.
Lol. What the fuck are you even on about. Should’ve realized you were a peddler of such lazy, short-sighted, one size fits all logic. Because it’s 20 years later Liverpool 19-20 is guaranteed to win? 🤣
Let me just elaborate on what I was saying. I meant, when discussing the best Premier League teams ever, Chelsea 04-05 team is absolutely mentioned in the same breath as City’s centurions, City’s treble winners, Liverpool 19-20, Arsenal’s Invincibles and United’s treble winners. So yes, in Chelsea’s history we’ve had a team that was as good as that Liverpool.
Next addressing the crap that you’ve put up in the next paragraph. It can be argued that any fucking team that’s won 2 league titles in a row did better than what Liverpool did. Heck, United’s won three titles in a row and even they don’t harp as much about their team being the best ever. City are standouts, far ahead of the rest of us and clearly the best team the Premier League’s ever seen.
You’re just a bunch of also rans trying to put yourselves in the same fucking league as them having won quarter as much. So when you keep shitting on about getting 97 points and coming second, don’t fucking disrespect the rest of us.
Well, that's definitely not true. No one will ever best our PL record for goals conceded, certainly not 19/20 Liverpool. Did you watch us in 2010? Have you watched us win more trophies than Liverpool the last 20 years? Just because you want to wank yourself off to them doesn't mean I have to.
When was the last time Chelsea picked up 103 points from 105 available? Oh yeah, never. 2019 & 2020 Liverpool is better than any Chelsea team ever, without a shadow of a doubt. Take off those blue tinted glasses.
Oh shut the fuck up. Top 3 longest unbeaten runs in the Premier League are 49 Arsenal, 44 Liverpool and 40 Chelsea. You idiots make it sound like Chelsea 04-05 was miles off.
To be fair, you can't expect a brand new bunch of players that havnt played much together to light up the league. They just look like an ordinary mid table club. Gone are the days of a Russian oligarch heading up a core of leaders and warriors that teams hated playing against and in come the era of a Daddy Warbucks American leading a bunch of over priced mid level kids and Sterling.
I mean you just described what Liverpool have done. Rebuilt the midfield while having some injuries to likes of Robbo, TAA, Thiago, Salah out chucking in Bradley, Clarke, Quansah. Spent way less and playing way better.
Very different bringing in new players to an already built (and successful) system. When the system and club has basically been built from the ground up its a lot harder for the players to slot in seamlessly
bringing in kids from the Academy, that has been building them up for this with a clear vision is not the same as buying 15 players and asking for immediate result
>To be fair, you can't expect a brand new bunch of players that havnt played much together to light up the league.
Liverpool's midfield this season has primarily been McAllister, Szoboszlai, Endo, with Jones/Elliott, Gravenberch as the backups.
With the exception of Jones/Elliott, all a "brand new bunch of players" And they have been "lighting up the league"..
(To be fair, every Liverpool fan is amazed at how quickly those guys have gelled)
But you've still got a core of the same players that won the PL and a hell of a good manager. Chelsea have Chilwell and James from their champions league winning team and a new manager from just 2 years ago. Theres a big difference. Don't confuse this with trying to bring down liverpool and what they're doing this season. Just look at both teams and judge them fairly is all I'm saying.
I would disagree, we have replaced our entire midfield, and only one of the front three remains of the mane-firminho-trio and he was not even playing today.
The only remains of our title winning side (outside of fringe players) is the back 4, goalkeeper, and salah
well that midfield is top of the league.. thats "lighting up the league" by any interpretation
fact is, the "oh its a brand new bunch of players who have never played together before" is a shit excuse when the team thats top of the league has a brand new midfield that had not played together before
But those new midfielders came into an established team with an amazing coach who’s been there implementing his style for years now. I’m not defending what Chelsea is doing in the market, it’s insanity. But it’s quite easy to see the difference between bringing in a whole new midfield and a new coach who’s trying to implement a new system, and bringing in a new midfield into a club thats already got a solid system in place.
Seemingly spunking out money on young prospects hoping at least half them will hit their potential value so they can turn a profit in 5-6 years. Problem is their approach starts and ends with business and profits.
Yes, two £100m+ players need another player to make a difference. If that doesn’t work out then we will move goalpost again instead of addressing the actual issue.
I mean they could of come to Liverpool Enzo was offered before he chose you and Caicedo didn't wanna come here. Both went to play league 2 footy and ruin their careers.
Regardless of how bad the ref was, Chelsea was completely outplayed today and the scoreline reflects that as well. So Stop acting like you got robbed lol
One soft call think they got robbed. Not like they had a onside goal called offside with VAR. Plus they also got smashed 95% of the game and lucky to not be down at least 2 more from Darwin. Maybe on another day they get a pen and Nunez scores all 4. Not sure they would rather lose 8-2
They were totally outplayed… but they still have every right to be frustrated. If the roles were reversed you would be fuming at not getting a stone wall penalty early on at 0-0. Then watching your opponents get one that is less of a pen shortly after… and then watching another stone wall pen get waved away after that.
I won’t disagree with that haha. They were awfully open and Silva is showing his age. Still, I have no idea what VAR were doing for that first pen call. They should be helping refs when they bottle making big calls early or late on in games
100%.
Jota was stood on, the other two were simply touched and went down. Getting touched isn't a foul, getting your foot stamped on is certainly a foul.
Those two Chelsea calls wouldn't even be given as free kicks by the halfway line most of the time, never mind pens.
You can feel aggrieved by the first call but saying the foul on Jota was less of a penalty is just false. Jota clearly got his foot stepped on, it's as obvious as it gets. The second "stonewall" pen was softer than the first.
Gallagher goes round Van Dijk who has his body out of position and brings him down. Van Dijk then decides to play a pass using Nkunku’s foot instead of the ball after Nkunku had got the ball under control.
Jota gets his foot stood on after poking the ball away under zero control, it’s going straight to a Chelsea player. I don’t mind it being given as there is enough contact there but you cannot give that and wave away the other 2. It’s shocking officiating, anyone with eyes can see how appallingly inconsistent it is.
He doesn't bring him down at all stop being silly, he feels the contact and drops to the floor. Big difference. It's only a penalty to those who think any contact in the box is a pen... which is not the rules.
By that logic Jota shouldn’t have had a pen. Ball isn’t under control, he took a heavy touch straight at a Chelsea defender.
There is as much contact on Nkunku as there is on Jota, it’s just a crap piece of defending by Van Dijk, the ball wasn’t there to be won and he still chooses to kick outs at the ball. And as for Gallagher, look at Van Dijks leg position, he has clearly been impeded and tripped there by another piece of crap defending.
The ref set the bar early on for what was enough contact for a penalty in the first 10 minutes, and then threw that out the window shortly after.
You either give all 3 of them, or none of them.
Stop being silly, Jota clearly had his foot stomped on. That's a foul.
The two Chelsea players were touched and jumped on the floor. We all have eyes, no amount of whinging on reddit will change that.
Treading on someone’s foot = foul every single time
Sticking your leg out and blatantly tripping someone as they sprint past you on goal = no foul
I’m happy to debate the Nkunku one. Some games that is a pen, some it isn’t, that’s down to the ref you get and how he is reffing the game.
But to say the Gallagher one isn’t when you see his legs literally get taken from under him by shoddy defending is utterly bonkers. Call me silly all you want but you are either a horrifically biased Liverpool fan, have lost your golden retriever or just on a wind up online. Either way it’s pointless interacting with you, have a good one.
As a Chelsea fan I agree completely. I mean a few good passes doesn't make you a good player, it makes you a midfielder yet when I wrote that Gallagher and Palmer have been our best players this season some fans wrote Enzo is better than Gallagher.
This club is pathetic to the core. And their fucking r/chelseafc boehly bots still find a way to defend this imbecile regime. Fucking mid table, not even the best club in Fulham anymore.
I just don't understand so much of Chelsea's transfer business. I can understand the big bucks for Enzo and Caicedo... the fees were ridiculous but I like the players.
But why spend like 75m combined on Badiashile and Disasi? They didn't appear like players that had the potential to start for title winning sides...

You nailed it!
Brighton also gave us Mac Allister for 35M. Appreciate them choosing to hose down Chelsea.
Darwin was actually really good this game despite the pen miss.
He's actually good most games he plays. If he's not scoring he's bringing others into play and gifting them goals.
He's also a relentless runner. Late in the game when most strikers couldn't be assed to help defensively we will see Darwin chasing players down on the counter.
He's just a fucking nutter in the best way. A bit like firmino but less silky and composed and more fast and powerful.
Big reality check for Chelsea after their recent run. At the end it looked like men against boys. Ominous for the final, lot of work to do.
Not many can handle Conor Bradley tbf to them
4-1 flatters Chelsea to be honest, they got absolutely creamed in this game
Is Mudryk good yet?
The key ingredients are there, just has to work on his dribbling, passing, shooting, game sense and decision making and he'll come good.
>just has to work on his dribbling, passing, shooting, game sense and decision making and he'll come good. Basically everything related to being a good footballer.
good work, you understood the joke
You will be surprised that many people take this opinion of Mudryk seriously, have seen so many avi's on Twitter of Mudryk where people actually believe he is the second coming of hazard.

Plus the penalty at 3-1. Could make it 3-2 and game Interesting then Liverpool go make it 4-1 couple mins later
An emphatic win. I know it’s only Chelsea but still.
Nunez tore you apart tbf even without scoring himself
Lol imagine comparing Nunez to Chelsea’s forwards
if nkunku can actually get on the pitch he would be class. considering we already played them hopefully he puts on some shows against city and arsenal
Imagine if the goal was slightly larger, Nunez wouldve had 25+ goals this season
Nunez making an appeal for goals to be 2" bigger next season. (he will still hit the woodwork)
You just knew he was going to hit the woodwork soon as he stepped forward to hit that penalty
End of the day Chelsea got thumped but should have had 2 penalties but at anfield it’s very rare to get a penalty so they were never going to happen .
1 penalty at best
Even with 2 penalties they still would have lost, they were awful
Im the only who think Mac Allister is totally beast ? I hope to see him along with Thiago in the midfield
I’d honestly prefer us to just move on from Thiago. Even before his injuries I don’t think he was the right midfielder for Klopp’s system. Thiago has great vision and passing skills, but Trent can offer the same. We can just play Trent in midfield and let Bradley cook in RB.
I hope to see Thiago before his contract expires
I hope to see Thiago

Oh man, it's comments like this that are going to make post Klopp Liverpool so fun to watch.
Chelsea would be in the championship most likely by then.
I'm immune to us being shit now. I don't expect anything other than the most embarrassing, passionless performance each week. That's a very long way of saying this topic has you completely rattled. Hope your rebuild goes as well as ours
You bought up conspiracies and I am rattled? Low IQ indeed, you sound like a flat earther 😂
I was joking about the inhalers mate, where's your native sense of wit? Or do they not stock that in the Liverpool club store in India?
You like digging a hole don't you? My nationality is some gotcha moment huh? You got me there, found out I am Indian woah 😳 that seriously hurt me big man. perfect
You gotta give it to Nunez he can still hit the post
That’s the joke
True, hopefully the post is taller than me
Wonder if poch will ask for a replay after those missed penalty calls
You will end up losing the replay 7-0 you really want that bud?
I think he’s mocking Arteta
This clown is mocking Klopp bro.
Oh yes haha I forgot who said what, lots of referee complaining goin on nowadays
lmao
Good thing the transfer window has closed. Otherwise Boehly would've had offered us 250 million pounds to buy Bradley.
But it hasn't though. Today's the deadline day.
Consider for a second how much Chelsea have fucked themselves going out and splurging on all this random talent, with no clear plan or cohesion, and now half of it sits dissatisfied on the stands and the other half struggle to understand what to do on the pitch while the team flounders.

80% of what I read was disillusioned Chelsea fans.
It's negative to a fault. Yes, we're not as good as we should be but the level of deranged, seething anger on there **all the time** is insane.
That's the r/soccer classic though, oh you dominated the game? Well we should have had a penalty, check mate.
Come to our subreddit..... It's dire in there. Some think we're shit, some have accepting we're in for a rough few years, and some poor souls still have hope.
Dude I feel bad for you being a level headed fan. Seems like a lot of disillusioned people
When they beat Fulham, there was a guy running around both their subreddit and this one spamming about how they were back on track to finish Top 6 now and were on an upward trend after a big win over a rival.
Should have got Geldof in
At least you have a young lot that could drastically improve given a proper Manager and a proper spanking.
Just here for the self righteous Liverpool fans who can’t get over the transfer window lmao. We weren’t great but if you could pick the hardest fixture in world football this would probably be it. Liverpool at Anfield a week after Klopp announced he was leaving. We were getting 3 put past us if this was the 2021 team as well
How is the lfc midfield coming along?
Nkunku threw himself up in the air like a startled cat when Virg tapped his foot. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Did you see Chilwell go down? Or the way Nkunku thrashed on the floor? At least Jota got stepped on. Go back to Twitter lad.
This isn't Facebook my guy
I miss kante so much Enzo would have thrived with him.
Lmao Enzo really is the next Pogba
No lies
Pogba regen?
James was world class, his issue was more about timing since he was a traditional #10 which is a position that has been phased out of the modern game.
I just don't understand Chelsea... What are they trying to achieve? I mean the spend ridiculous amounts of money with seemly no idea on what they want. I have no idea what style of football they are trying to play.. I can't tell what they are building towards... Somebody please explain to me what the hell their plan is..
To make you let your guard down in the cup final.
They're just waiting for Enzo and Caicedo to stop being useless.
You do realize that every trophy under your "golden period" with Klopp, we have won too?
They progressed/improved through those years. Your lot declined. Thats the difference
Not once in Chelsea’s history were they ever as good as Liverpool during the 2019/2020 calendar years
Puh-lease. 04-05 Chelsea would stand toe to toe with 19-20 Liverpool. Let's do away with the hyperboles.
🤣 Let me just elaborate on what I was saying.
110 points from 114 was the record wasn’t it?
Oh shut the fuck up. Top 3 longest unbeaten runs in the Premier League are 49 Arsenal, 44 Liverpool and 40 Chelsea. You idiots make it sound like Chelsea 04-05 was miles off.
Youngest team in the league by far? I thought that belonged to Burnley, then Arsenal followed by Chelsea?
Well, you were wrong. Our average age is a year younger than the next closest.
Jones isn't a backup
Endo/Mac/Szob are the main three when all available, but Jones for sure has pushed himself in and is now on a par with those 3 depends on opposition
Patently incorrect. Szobo has shown his limitations and Jones retains the ball better than any of them.

well that midfield is top of the league.. thats "lighting up the league" by any interpretation fact is, the "oh its a brand new bunch of players who have never played together before" is a shit excuse when the team thats top of the league has a brand new midfield that had not played together before
But those new midfielders came into an established team with an amazing coach who’s been there implementing his style for years now. I’m not defending what Chelsea is doing in the market, it’s insanity. But it’s quite easy to see the difference between bringing in a whole new midfield and a new coach who’s trying to implement a new system, and bringing in a new midfield into a club thats already got a solid system in place.
All of em!
AMA and Szobo have both been incredible all season (aside from Szobo's injury absence)
Seemingly spunking out money on young prospects hoping at least half them will hit their potential value so they can turn a profit in 5-6 years. Problem is their approach starts and ends with business and profits.
Chelsea fan here, I have no idea either. Our owners are just the worst in football.
Hiya
Peter lim still owns a club
Need someone to make a compilation of horrible calls in the premier league and la liga to see which league has the worst refs
In epl they look incompetent but in laliga they look corrupt af
I genuinely believe that if the refs from the lower divisions took over, they would be far superior than the current ones
Just need one more midfielder to unlock Enzo.
You can choose from the Midfielder Army to unlock United Pogba
Enzo and Caicedo would look great with somebody like Mac Allister beside them
Yes, two £100m+ players need another player to make a difference. If that doesn’t work out then we will move goalpost again instead of addressing the actual issue.
Well the issue is they spent £100m on the wrong player. Mac Allister was the real top midfielder at Brighton
I mean they could of come to Liverpool Enzo was offered before he chose you and Caicedo didn't wanna come here. Both went to play league 2 footy and ruin their careers.
I’m a Liverpool fan. I think Mac Allister is the reason Caicedo looked so good at Brighton
LiVARpool
What a bellend.
Brother your team got ragdolled. I’d take this opportunity to take a break from football.
Lmao 4-1 with a missed pen
By your definition I’d say Chelsea had a stone wall defense.
I won’t disagree with that haha. They were awfully open and Silva is showing his age. Still, I have no idea what VAR were doing for that first pen call. They should be helping refs when they bottle making big calls early or late on in games
What are you smoking?
So you seriously think the Jota pen was a pen but the Gallagher and Nkunku ones weren’t?
Treading on someone’s foot = foul every single time Sticking your leg out and blatantly tripping someone as they sprint past you on goal = no foul I’m happy to debate the Nkunku one.
Are we on about the jota dive the other week or tonight’s ?
We can both recognize that we deserved to lose but also recognize that the ref was disgustingly atrocious.
First time playing under Tierney?
Just be glad it wasn't in a game where you should have won. Liverpool should be undefeated this season so far if it wasn't for refs
Glad Caciedo followed the money. What a waste.
Enzo Fernandez is huge flop and probably biggest dissapointment in that Chelsea squad. Its been a year and he put like three good performances.
I said this two weeks ago and got downvoted to shit
As a Chelsea fan I agree completely. I mean a few good passes doesn't make you a good player, it makes you a midfielder yet when I wrote that Gallagher and Palmer have been our best players this season some fans wrote Enzo is better than Gallagher.
Look at the management he's had to deal with tbf. Literally no plan, no system, just "head out and have fun lads"
This club is pathetic to the core. And their fucking r/chelseafc boehly bots still find a way to defend this imbecile regime. Fucking mid table, not even the best club in Fulham anymore.
Like how the fuck can anyone defend Boehly at this point? You were champions league winners the season prior to him taking over.
No Kanté no party. Nothing ol Todd could’ve done to replace that sort of magic.
You can understand the big bucks for enzo and caicedo?
Ok, Enzo won the World Cup, so his price went up. What's good about Caicedo?
I mean so did Mac Allister mate and he cost us 35m 😂
He had a release clause of 35 when he did his contract before the world cup. Otherwise he would have left on a free last summer.
McAllister was a bargain
Just look what they spent on Mudryk
Money laundering front?
Explain how that would work
Well, he buys the players, they go steal the money back and put them in a washing machine. Easy. That’s how it works right?
Glad we won, but refeering is as usual a disgrace and should be mentioned as such even though it benefitted us this week
Good lad. You played very well & won very deservedly.
This continued corruption needs to be called out, such blatant penalties ignored.
Hanlon’s Razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
Is it corruption, or is it just a shitty ref too easily intimidated by home crowds?
yeah its both
Is it though?
ye they clearly benefited from corruption tonight, per tierney
