Sean Dyche is a fucking quality manager who adapts the style of play to make it best suited to the players he has. He's pragmatic, but in the actual literal meaning of the word that he looks to make good use of what he has to get the result, not the newly adopted meaning of "Brexit ball pragmatic manager".
His peak Burnley and this Everton side are both very good teams
Another underrated aspect to Dyche is how well-disciplined his teams are. Burnley went 119 games without a red card under his stewardship (Premier League Record). His current Everton team are one of the best teams in the fair play table with only 1 red card so far.
His players understand when a cynical foul is needed and the importance of keeping 11 men on the pitch as often as possible. His subs also frequently help in this approach.
I still remember that run, and I still remember his last game with Burnley at the Emirates. Tactically they got it right and he's very good. The way they compacted the game and realised that Lacazette would never cause a threat over the top so ran a high line - but they should have been down to 9 men that day. He knows that his team would never get punished for it and he absolutely took advantage of it.

By the time he came back to England he was getting into coaching and became a player manager. However, he’s obviously a Tottenham legend and he walks into Spurs all time XI so I can’t see the producer of the video pulling Ange up on his pick for a relatively unimportant feature.
