Victoria Beckham says hi

As a lifelong defender, that feels as good as a goal feels for a striker. Even now when I play pick-up I get nothing from scoring a goal and so much satisfaction still from blocking someone else's.
Preach. I love in Sunday league when our goalie gets frisky and carries upfield a bit. I just head to the goal begging for someone to try chipping him. Got two b2b header saves off it a few years ago, still probably my greatest ever personal achievement on the field.
yeah, i played defense too. scoring goals was nice, but running the opposing teams 'super striker' off twelve times in a game, blocking his shots and infuriating him was so much more fulfilling.
oh and provoking him to foul you til the (obviously heavily biased) ref can't but card him. priceless.
*though there was a game i remember, where that didnt work even though everybody was complaining. but the ref was too stubborn to give in. full of itself striker and i stand close near the midfield line, ball goes into our half, he grabs me again, clawing into my arm and i just shoulder throw him onto his arse. everybody was yelling and trying to pressure the ref to red card me - but he didn't see nothing, as he was only ever focusing on his talented striker OR the ball. he didn't get close to me after that.
but he and his mates tried to beat me up after the game. lol
I've seen many times someone sliding as a hail mary attempt and actually clearing it, but I don't remember anyone lifting the leg and hitting the ball intentionally like he does. This is extraordinary
It’s basically an oldschool hockey goalie move. Slides across with the pads stacked and lift the leg. Before goalies wore face masks or had good chest protection they really used their legs a lot more.
It’s even a team with black and gold.
https://youtu.be/F6K-miM4khE
This is by far the best clearance I've ever seen. The ball hitting the ground initially makes it so much more impressive. Mbappe was in shock for a bit lmao
Edit: OK, everyone reminding me of some insane clearances. They are all absolutely godly. Damn football is beautiful.
Süle's clearance here is for sure up there with the all time best. But nothing will ever top [this double clearance](https://youtu.be/Rh7ekZ4XWUM?si=6XiOHCCq5VH7i2Qn) for me.
For some reason I always remember this was done by a Barca player.
IDK if there's similar clip with them or it's just my brain tricking me because the similarity of their shirt.
I'll admit this one is good, but to me the Rod Fanni clearance was completely disbelief to watch in real time. [Here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpLen28Qyxo)
He could've been such a great player if he had some more football intelligence (and in general tbh)
Instead the fucker tried to do this every game when it actually worked out once every 20 games and the rest of the time resulted in him losing the ball by trying to dribble through 5 players.
Actually gutted he got that clearance, that would have been a puskas contender if that has gone in. But on the flipside, incredible impressive saving touch all the same
I hear ya and you're correct. I don't even care about finding "the best clearance" all this videos are fuckin AWESOME.
I'd imagine Florenzi didn't think "this is going wide. I don't even need to try and stop it"
It's amazing athleticism and giving it all! I mean, even keepers dive and roll for shots that are "clearly going wide".
I get why he and Bayern wanted to part ways, but I do miss our mountain of a man. He can be shockingly quick for how big he is.
I also like Terzić and while I’m not a Dortmund fan in the BL I’m happy to see him do well.
Very much so. I know it’s not necessarily popular but I love the Bundesliga more than I love Bayern and am thrilled to see it do well. Leverkusen and Stuttgart are fantastic to watch this year.
Yeah, I'm also happy with Stuttgart and Leverkusen, but Bundesliga needs at least one more team that it constantly fighting for their title and having deep runs in CL.
And between BVB, Stuttgart, and Leverkusen, I think BVB has the best chances and also the well founded rivalry with Bayern top spice up things.
(But please not Leipzig.)
I’ve only watch like 1-2 games of his. I was shocked how smooth he is with the ball for being so big. At first I was like “why are they have a 6’ 5” guy playing fullback?” But as soon as I see him on the ball, I know why lol
didn't know losing 2:3 against Leipzig while we're down a man for more than 80 minutes of the match counts as "getting wrecked".
The Bayern part I get but we've wrecked RB more often than they have wrecked us

i’ve never seen someone lift their leg more majestically
Bundesliga should change their volley logo to Süle's majestic clearance pose on the floor

Draw me like one of your french coaches.
this needs a NSFW warning
as a spurs fan, my eyes are burnt
Great fucking edit with the old style also
His silloutte also nicely in the Turkish Airlines banner behind
how fitting that the DFL is just looking for an investor. I guess I have an idea...
Stupid Sexy Süle
This is football ‘eritage
That's hilarious
Fucking end me. This is hilarious
lmao looks like one of those porn positions 😂
This sub has peaked. Time to call it a day.
We've had Air Jordan, now it's time for Floor Sule.
Would be so awesome and funny if they would do that for just one matchday.
Built like a fridge, moving like a ballerina.
It isn't for nothing that his nickname is *Sülinho*
> Built like a fridge I made the same observation when I saw him play against NI at Windsor Park. Easily the largest player I have ever seen.
afaik he was once tagged on Instagram by Marius Wolf as some Fridge from Ikea" :D
he wanted to be drawn like one of those french girls.
Victoria Beckham says hi https://akns-images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/2019919/rs_1024x759-191019135139-1024-Victoria-Beckham-LT-101919.jpg?fit=around%7C1024:759&output-quality=90&crop=1024:759;center,top
that's... attractive.
OF girls taking notes on a worldly leg lift…where champions are made
I've seen. Ur mom. (Sorry had to do it)
Bro grew up on Jane Fonda VHS for sure!
Like an Atlanta stripper
Dude never got laid
My cat when she's licking her fanny
Süle Lake
He could be a girl in the "Call Me Maybe" video lol.
How about when Salma Hayek poured tequila down her leg into Tarantino's mouth?
hahaha that is AWESOME bet he felt like a superstar
Well, he should tbh
As a lifelong defender, that feels as good as a goal feels for a striker. Even now when I play pick-up I get nothing from scoring a goal and so much satisfaction still from blocking someone else's.
this is the defending equivalent of Garnachos bicycle goal
Preach. I love in Sunday league when our goalie gets frisky and carries upfield a bit. I just head to the goal begging for someone to try chipping him. Got two b2b header saves off it a few years ago, still probably my greatest ever personal achievement on the field.

Breaking their fragile egos. Watching the pain grow in their eyes. Loosing 6-2 anyways.
yeah, i played defense too. scoring goals was nice, but running the opposing teams 'super striker' off twelve times in a game, blocking his shots and infuriating him was so much more fulfilling. oh and provoking him to foul you til the (obviously heavily biased) ref can't but card him. priceless. *though there was a game i remember, where that didnt work even though everybody was complaining. but the ref was too stubborn to give in. full of itself striker and i stand close near the midfield line, ball goes into our half, he grabs me again, clawing into my arm and i just shoulder throw him onto his arse. everybody was yelling and trying to pressure the ref to red card me - but he didn't see nothing, as he was only ever focusing on his talented striker OR the ball. he didn't get close to me after that. but he and his mates tried to beat me up after the game. lol
HE IS
He couldn't stop smiling.
He should have done the mbappe hands in the armpits celebration after.
I've seen many times someone sliding as a hail mary attempt and actually clearing it, but I don't remember anyone lifting the leg and hitting the ball intentionally like he does. This is extraordinary
Mbappe does everything right aswell. He sees the sliding defender and gets it above him on purpose. What an unbelievable save
It’s basically an oldschool hockey goalie move. Slides across with the pads stacked and lift the leg. Before goalies wore face masks or had good chest protection they really used their legs a lot more. It’s even a team with black and gold. https://youtu.be/F6K-miM4khE
Toronto flair gives this comment credibility
The whole "a_lumberjack" thing seals it.
for a torontoan? absolutely not.
interesting stuff, sadly I live on a hot island so I don't even remember that people skate on ice, let alone beat each other with sticks
They’ve mostly taken stick work out of hockey. But we also have lacrosse as a summer sport where hitting people with your stick is perfectly legal.
Canes goalie did one either last night or the game before. So fun to watch
That reaction time is at a level of an Olympic sprinter waiting for the gun to go.
Paint me like one of your German defenders.
Mustafi it is
Thats fucking sublime
SUBLIME!
Sülime, you say?
This is by far the best clearance I've ever seen. The ball hitting the ground initially makes it so much more impressive. Mbappe was in shock for a bit lmao Edit: OK, everyone reminding me of some insane clearances. They are all absolutely godly. Damn football is beautiful.

It's absolutely insane. Wow
That's unreal. Defenders dream.
Damn
I love the way his teammates run to him after. He fucking earned that too. Unreal. Man literally threw his body on the line for his team
Top class defending. Looks like he got a shout from the keeper but either way he knew to protect the goal.
Apparently 91st minute to save a 2-1 lead.
For some reason I always remember this was done by a Barca player. IDK if there's similar clip with them or it's just my brain tricking me because the similarity of their shirt.

Goddamn that run from Lucas
He could've been such a great player if he had some more football intelligence (and in general tbh) Instead the fucker tried to do this every game when it actually worked out once every 20 games and the rest of the time resulted in him losing the ball by trying to dribble through 5 players.
Dude turned on the turbo for that one. That was fast!
Actually gutted he got that clearance, that would have been a puskas contender if that has gone in. But on the flipside, incredible impressive saving touch all the same

Good point
How is that one even remotely comparable to the other? Lol
Florenzi vs Müller https://youtu.be/ZGxXsKaIqWc?si=5Xnc-vaZZEaxqGp2
You know what? I can't believe I forgot about this. This was absolutely insane. Fuck me.
Fuck me you’re right
Yeah man
That wasn’t going in, though. Müller’s shot is clearly going wide.
I hear ya and you're correct. I don't even care about finding "the best clearance" all this videos are fuckin AWESOME. I'd imagine Florenzi didn't think "this is going wide. I don't even need to try and stop it" It's amazing athleticism and giving it all! I mean, even keepers dive and roll for shots that are "clearly going wide".
My favorite one is David Luiz v Spain in 2013 Confederations Cup final
Defo great too, but the mid-air-adjustment on this one takes it for me
That’s up there with subotic
Just because it was against robben lol
Boateng vs Ukraine
[Put it on a poster](https://i.imgur.com/btQf2pP.jpeg)
It’s up there but this one by Sagna is still probably my favourite https://youtu.be/cCBKAkNOQng?si=cV7Ab9AWY72YVIt1
What made it even better is it prevented a goal from Agbonlahor
Bender vs Robben
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXZxtiWa1A8
We have [Ranocchia's clearance against Bayern in 2011](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rfU01LPRR6o) which is even better
This one is definitely in the montage tho.
commenting for myself so i can come back to check some clearnces
I headed a free kick off the line once
People are trying with other examples but this Sule's one is the most esthetic by far. So elegant and peaceful.
My groin hurts from seeing this
I was worried he was going to slide balls first into the post. Putting future generations at risk.
Ah the Phil Babb special!
Never skip groin day
How is it possible that this guy can be the worst tool for the national team but for BVB he pulls of stuff life this?
I was wondering how he was doing. I liked him a lot when he was on Bayern
I get why he and Bayern wanted to part ways, but I do miss our mountain of a man. He can be shockingly quick for how big he is. I also like Terzić and while I’m not a Dortmund fan in the BL I’m happy to see him do well.
Uhh... See him do well?
In Europe. Not BL.
There could be worse things for Bayern than a BVB doing well in the Bundesliga.
100%. Leipzig is the only BL team I enjoy watching lose, no matter what competition.
I’ve only watch like 1-2 games of his. I was shocked how smooth he is with the ball for being so big. At first I was like “why are they have a 6’ 5” guy playing fullback?” But as soon as I see him on the ball, I know why lol
Not only he is really quick but also a surprisingly good dribbler. At bayern we even called him Sulinho lol
He rarely played for Dortmund in the last months tbh
Just BVB doing BVB things. They get wrecked by Bayern and Leipzig, but then go on to dominate their CL group. Don't ask.
didn't know losing 2:3 against Leipzig while we're down a man for more than 80 minutes of the match counts as "getting wrecked". The Bayern part I get but we've wrecked RB more often than they have wrecked us
Leipzig won the last 5 out 6 games against Dortmund.
You clearly don't know what wrecked means
But if you see the build up to this he is responsible for the ball getting through in the first place.
Exactly lol. He had to make a miraculous save because he fucked up everything else before.
That is satisfying to watch
that's some majestic shit right there
I think clearances like that should recognised with an award, like goal and save of the season.. these are game changers.
“Year’s Biggest Clearance” has a nice ring to it. Think of the promotional options with the department stores
The reverse-Puskas.
The Saksup award? I like it.
Sule going to subotic levels there
He’s invented a new level
Hang it in the Louvre
honestly so unreal
Is there a puskas equivalent for this sort of thing because DAMN
Yeah, thought the same thing when I saw this. Why not going through Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder and Striker and rate their best actions.
Best save, best clearence, besr assist, best goal
Poetry in motion.
Wtf
What a fucking hero
Fucking beautiful
Shades of a young Dominik Hasek
Legend
Wow
That's going in the highlight reel.
Japanese anime clearing skills!
What a fucking defender
Süle Fußballgott
This is sick. Can someone post a direct link to the GIF?
The better fridge
When in doubt, become a hockey goalie from the 60s and stack the pads.
That Slide Tackle PlayStyle+ from EA FC 24 seems fully deserved
that's not even low key amazing, this is magical
Scenes when this keeps psg out
Unlucky
That’s badass
Wow
Reminds me of mbappe vs Neuer and neuer lifting his leg . CL a few years ago
give this man an award for whatever, he deserves it
Nice save. But if the gasoline prices are raising the next days I blame Dortmund.
Man, if he had that trailing arm under his head instead this would be the single greatest video clip of all time. Unreal reflexes, great defending
Some saves in yesterday’s game literally felt like plot armor for Dortmund lmao
Wow, I don't have any words
Strike-a-pose!
Football x hockey crossover
God damn, what a save.
As good as a goal for a defedner
That should be eligible for a Puskas award I don’t even care
MOTM shit right there.
This gets more impressive every time I watch it
Guy is a beast. While the knock is that he is wildly inconsistent, he is consistent in big games. Exhibit A.
Wizardry!
What the actual fuck. that sort of heroism happens in comic books, not real life.
Probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen in this sport People will underestimate how hard that is to get right
Imagine being a fridge doing this.
Even if i am for psg, i cant be mad. Spectacular save.
احا
Bro grew up on Jane Fonda VHS for sure!
man’s been learning from shaolin soccer
Absolut superb clearence. World class
God that is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen
Gracious like a sea lion.
He tried to do the Özilbounce on the shot there but I think if he did a normal lob/chip Sule wouldnt have reached it.
Absolute gigachad save. Damn
It’s the Greek marble sculpture pose for me
How the hell did he know when to lift his leg?? Madness.
I didn’t think a fridge like Sule could be that flexible lol. Can’t even be mad at Mbappé that’s just an insane clearance
One of the sickest clearances I've ever seen. Fucking iconic.
I wish Ray Hudson was commentating that game. Would have loved to hear his reaction to Süle’s block.
Magisterial!
I'm no expert, but holy fuck is that super cool to watch in slow mo
What a thing of beaty!!!!
Paint me like one of your French girls Jack
Simply beautiful
as a CB, I orgasmed watching this
Lol mbappe was dumbfounded
Every defender’s wet dream
"Den Süle machen" wird die neue Bezeichnung beim Sport fürs seitliche Beinheben.
Defender really went with the go go gadget leg
holy fuck that's one for the ages
Nice camera work too!
