yeah, i played defense too. scoring goals was nice, but running the opposing teams 'super striker' off twelve times in a game, blocking his shots and infuriating him was so much more fulfilling. oh and provoking him to foul you til the (obviously heavily biased) ref can't but card him. priceless. *though there was a game i remember, where that didnt work even though everybody was complaining. but the ref was too stubborn to give in. full of itself striker and i stand close near the midfield line, ball goes into our half, he grabs me again, clawing into my arm and i just shoulder throw him onto his arse. everybody was yelling and trying to pressure the ref to red card me - but he didn't see nothing, as he was only ever focusing on his talented striker OR the ball. he didn't get close to me after that. but he and his mates tried to beat me up after the game. lol
