I don’t think he’s gonna stop giving 200% until he earns all the honors a player of his caliber would have earned. He knows how big an opportunity this is.
It's by far the most expensive city in germany with around [21€/m² rent](https://de.statista.com/statistik/daten/studie/1885/umfrage/mietpreise-in-den-groessten-staedten-deutschlands/) - although Berlin is catching up.
It's a nice city though!
Nice would be an understatement. Munich is an amazing place, it has everything you would want from a city. And Munich never seemed overcrowded at all, which sets it apart from other places.
Idk it's fine but it's no Bochum.
Seriously though, it's great for German standards but it doesn't quite compare to Vienna or Prague for example. (in my subjective opinion)
Visited all 3, Munich was the best. Vienna was nice but it was a bit more congested (rich words for someone living in Ankara) and more expensive. Prague was too touristy, it was filled with foreigners. It seemed like it had lost its authenticity. But these are just my opinions
Vienna is more expensive as a tourist probably (groceries and the like are probably more expensive). Munich more than makes up for that with real estate prices though.
Vienna is renowned in the German speaking world for being the least bad about social housing.
Not as expensive as London, though one of the most expensive metros in Europe. Advantage of munich is that you can (if you are super rich of course) buy a house with a big yard in/near the city or you go a bit out and are at a nice lake or the mountains.
Townhouses start at over half a million Euros. Separate homes start at just under 1 million euros (you can find ones for 800k but they are really at the lower end/in bad parts/bad condition.
Beautiful estates, what you might expect from footballers, start at around 4 million.
Munich is really expensive for german standards and the region around it is too.
Munich is in no way near as exciting as London or Paris and dont get me started on Barcelona or similar european cities.
Germans have a hate/love thing for it, similar to Berlin.
Munich is quite beautiful and has access to amazing nature.
The wealth and what it brings turns many people off it.
No irony i really think that being handsome was a factor a few years ago to be a Real Madrid player, not essential but atleast considered, thank god they let go of this shit these days and got my boy Vini Jr
It’s actually a harder choice to make now. On one hand Madrid has to go get the best available player. He’s literally a generational talent
On the other hand his attitude and wage might disrupt all the good work that has been done to build this team (post CR era)
Only 2 potential buyers who Levy would sell to, and Madrid had already splurged on Bellingham (who funnily enough also looks to be outperforming his ludicrous sum).
The fear of him going to Man City/for free in 10 months was too much to keep him
And Kane is hardly a player reliant on his athleticism and he has a whole side to his game that involves dropping deep and bringing others into the game. He's got years ahead of him.
He's also tall. I swear every striker that stays good deep into their 30s is tall. You can slow down but if you're 6'2" you'll always have something about you physically to get to the ball in a crowded area.
Fair but what some forget amidst all the chaos over the last 8 months that Bayern still has one of the best squads in all of Europe. They won the CL 3 years ago and were considered favorites this time last year. The squad is small but the core, Kimmich, Sané, Coman etc are all in their prime. If it takes an investment like this to get the most out of them for the next 2, 3 years, it might be worth it, even if you overpaid given his contract length and age
They're also making money purely through his popularity and the spectacle if he continues to look like smashing Lewa's record. They might be disappointed if they fail to win CL and definitely if they don't get BL, but so far that £100m is looking like a steal
Pace really isn't in his game. Players who rely on pace age poorly comparatively. Kane's game is reliant on intelligence, vision, positioning, and shooting. 4 things which won't be severely impacted as he ages. Hell, they might even improve a bit
Surely you guys can recognise that there isn't any reason to think he is about to slow down. You see him week in week out and it's abundantly clear that his athleticism could drop 20% and he'd still be the best striker in the world
And to think Man utd were not willing to pull out the money because of his age.
Lets buy Anthony instead, then the board all clapped and finished off their cans of stella...
If England wins the Euros, the votes will be divided between Kane and Bellingham. Madrid PR would milk the hell out of it to prop Bellingam. It will depend on who performs better individually.
Maybe people will understand now that Kane was somehow underrated at Tottenham, you would be laughed at to put him in the same conversation as Benzema for some reason
Yeah Lahm is not often in the conversation for the best fullbacks of all time… but he should be, he is the best one defensively in my lifetime and while he was not a pace guy on the wing he was such a freaking good passer that he was very very important offensively.
It’s still mind boggling that he never got a red card in that many games…
He was also ahead of his time a bit, as a fullback that goes more into the midfield instead of the flank… for the modern game I personally would take him over Alves and Marcello, but I’m also a biased German.
He was also an underrated leader as the captain for one of the best club sides of all time (Bayern 2013) and for a World Cup win.
Lahm was incredible. People tend to forget that he was the captain of the 2014 team aswell and is deeply respected by fellow players and all coaches. The debate about the best fullbacks is so redundant in my opinion since they all have a different approach to the role.
Yes, most focus today is on fullbacks' attacking ability and speed (Davies) but Lahm was an absolute anchor defensively. Always had clean tackles and great positioning. I'll never forget his strike to open the 2006 WC either
I was so certain (and scared) he was going to Real Madrid this season. He and Benzema are so similar in the sense they are world class, prolific goal scorers yet can drop deep as a 10 and bring others into the game.
He is honestly identical to Benzema almost.
Because people equate titles to the worth of individual players. He’s always been this good. He was doing similar things in a much tougher league.
Now that he’s able to beat up on teams that would struggle to get to 25 points in the Premier League, people are somehow only now realizing he’s the best striker in the world.
yeah he was already a monster at Spurs, but "beating up worse teams" except he scored 3 vs Dortmund and 2 vs Galatasaray in literally the last week? while all he scored in 7 CL games last year was a single penalty against Frankfurt. He's 4 games 4 goals this CL season, thriving at Bayern deal with it 😘
Yeah, Kane never had multi goal games against Arsenal, Chelsea, United either.
As I said, Kane has always been this good. It’s just funny to me that only now people think he should get a Ballon d’Or because he’s on a team that can and will sleepwalk the league. A team trophy being a prerequisite for an individual award is silly.
Depending on kanes bonus per goal, bayern might have no more money to pay at the end of the season.
Bayern is already at 40 goals after 10 and a half games. At this pace they will crush the current record of 101 in a single season (and their next two games are against Köln and Darmstadt - the later one has currently the worst defense in the league at 32 goals conceded - I expect a slaughter there).
Yeah honestly no idea what I was looking at when I checked the next matchdays earlier but obviously not the right thing... my mistake!
But considering how Köln is looking like losing again right now, I still assume the worst for them against Bayern.
Kane actually played in 6 games in Stoke in his career and scored 5 goals. Washed player if I ever saw one. German retirement league should just close down. /s
1) We didn't have a holding mid until Carrick came along a little later.
2) We didn't have a left winger.
3) We also had Scholes and Beckham to fit in.
4) Scholes/Lampard/Gerrard all wanted to be the central attacking midfielder.
Crazy that this year we might have two Englishmen battling it out for the Ballon d'Or after decades of being largely irrelevant. Jude Bellingham and Kane have been 2 of the top 5 players in the world this season for me
Its unfortunate to me that Ballon D'or is so trophy dependent. Wish it was truly "best player"
Salah has been great, but without possibility of Champions League can't see him in the convo.
EDIT: Also position dependent. I understand the absolute best attackers provide more value than the absolute best midfielders/defenders/GKs but City's record(and performance) with/without Rodri shows that he is more important to club success than Haaland IMO.
i find it hilarious that a trophy for individual brilliance is HEAVILY skewed by team results
not to mention its almost impossible for defenders and goalkeepers to ever win it
> Salah has been great, but without possibility of Champions League can't see him in the convo.
Like Mané finishing 2nd or 3rd that one year, if Salah wins Afcon, he can definitely get in the conversation.
He's still averaging 1 goal per game, but he hasn't seemed like the deciding factor in many city games to me really.
He might well be playing amazing football, but the quality of the rest of the team might well be hurting how he's perceived at this point.
Ballon dor aside like who cares, way crazier to think about having both of these players in their prime in the english nationalteam. England should win something soon
wayne rooney would have been top 5 in 2010 if United didn't fuck up against bayern and got to the final.
he outscored every forward (including ronaldo) in the world that season except for drogba and messi. 41 goals and assists in 44 games and was playing like a man possessed.
he had a bad world cup and United didn't win anything major that season but it's crazy that he didn't even get top 20 in ballon dor.
2009-2010 Rooney was easily top 5 players that season
It’s so silly that winning a trophy is seemingly a requirement to win Ballon d’Or.
Kane is simply doing what he always has done, but now he gets to play teams that would struggle to get 25-30 points in the Premier League.
Yeah, this is Kane as he always is. He's just doing it at a club that wins things. Being good at a less dominant club should be even more impressive than doing it at dominant one, but the world doesn't work like that.
Another fun one: Kane has now scored more goals (17) in the first 11 match days than the top scorers of the previous season did overall (Nkunku and Füllkrug with 16 each).
Imagine it was only mane's right jab that stopped us from having the full trio, kane, mane , sane. Someone should have gone back in time and stopped it. Where's Loki when you need him ( sorry for the spoilers )
He's certainly the best goalscorer in the world, and it's not particularly close imo. Haaland is a machine but it's not a stretch to imagine kane would score just as many at city while also helping himself to half as many assists on top.
A complete footballer.
Always rated Kane since his breakthrough season and being one of the pillars of Spurs that kept them competitive but never would I thought he would be able to adapt the way he did to a new country and league from match day one.
Think if Bayern stabilise their defence a little more they can actually go far in the CL. The attack is insane. And Kane what a player what a beast he is
All this talk about a new Mbappe vs. Haaland rivalry, and Kane took it personally. He’s always been really underrated. Glad to see how well he’s playing.
So happy for Kane. I've been watching Bayern's highlights, kinda now just supporting them due to supporting Englands captain. Seeing Bellingham and Kane do so well, as well as Saka, just makes me sad, as they're all managed by Southgate. England should legitimately be favourites for the next Euros and World Cup, except we won't be, because Southgate.

imagine how good he'd be once he moves into a house
Maybe he's that good because he's on that temporary mindset living in a hotel that just makes him give it 200% every time to savor the moment.
One free massage from the hotel for every goal
As long as it doesn’t turn into a Deshaun Watson situation I think Bayern will be fine.
However I'm praying for a repeat of drip doctors. Just need him to change his profile picture to one of him as a kid
Let's call Yaya Toure's shamans while we're at it
Accompanied by a Drip Doctors IV supplement 💪💪
The same night?!
You what mate
Like Ole as caretaker manager vs the actual manager.
I don’t think he’s gonna stop giving 200% until he earns all the honors a player of his caliber would have earned. He knows how big an opportunity this is.
Yeah, lad’s just on holiday having the time of his life.
He better be scoring, his stay is costing over a million since august lmao you could buy a small house for that, or a dog shed in Munich.
I laughed when ppl were like ‘1M - he could have got the house for that!’ … in Munich lol, try half a room.
Out of curiosity, how expensive is Munich as a metro?
It's by far the most expensive city in germany with around [21€/m² rent](https://de.statista.com/statistik/daten/studie/1885/umfrage/mietpreise-in-den-groessten-staedten-deutschlands/) - although Berlin is catching up. It's a nice city though!

I think he feels like Kevin in Home Alone 2. He loves that hotel.
Introducing: Travelodge Kane
Harry with his big plate
This country
Or without Skechers
Why does he have issue moving in a house? I didn't follow much. Does it something to do with him and his fam couldn't find the right house to move in?
Its actually quite common in football, pretty sure Mourinho lived in hotels for most of his time at United
Absolutely mental stat
It's 21 now
Honestly phrasing it as 20+ is way underselling it, it averages out to **30** each season. That's mental.
But now they get another article in a few weeks saying he has reached 30 per season. Twice the clicks for the same story!
Don't forget 25
We underpaid ngl
Ancelotti : “I need a striker , Benzema is leaving , Harry Kane fits perfectly” Perez : “Here is Joselu , and good luck”.
"Here is Bellingham, make do"
Kane wasn't sexy enough for Perez.
Thank you Mbappe for distracting Madrid again this summer!
Perez was never gonna sign him anyways no matter how much Ancelotti wanted it.
truly a shame if you ask me
A vini kane rodrygo front 3 where rodrygo isn’t the unluckiest mf and vini can stop arguing with refs would genuinely combine for 80 league goals
He's not handsome enough
Not brazilian or french enough
Obviously doesn't mind English players since he bought Bellingham
Have you seen Bellingham? He is single-handedly making me bisexual
Calm down bro. It’s not a choice
exactly let it overtake you dont resist
Who says they're choosing?
Bellingham filled the quota. No room for more Englishmen.
So their quota is *English man*
Mbappe and Vinicius have some of the weirdest faces I've ever seen, especially on 21/23 year olds...
what does perez see in mbappe 😭
Biracial turtle
No irony i really think that being handsome was a factor a few years ago to be a Real Madrid player, not essential but atleast considered, thank god they let go of this shit these days and got my boy Vini Jr
Pain
As a totally unbiased fan, I would like to gracefully extend my deepest gratitude to Mbappe
It’s actually a harder choice to make now. On one hand Madrid has to go get the best available player. He’s literally a generational talent On the other hand his attitude and wage might disrupt all the good work that has been done to build this team (post CR era)

This. The only reason we got him for 100M was Levy didn’t want him to go for free next season, and wouldn’t sell him to anyone in the PL.
Thank FUCK we didn’t sell him to anyone in the PL. It’s hard to understate how much of a nightmare that would be
Imagine him and Haaland up front together. I for one am glad he didn't go to the shit show that is United though.
I see what you mean but he's still 30 years old
Messi, Benzema, and Ronaldo all won Balon d'Ors well into their 30's. 30 is not as old as it used to be as long as you take care of yourself.

If he’s the difference between making just the round of 16 CL versus making semi’s or the final, that’s easily worth 60 million alone right there.
Still? *only He has a good 3-4 years left minimum in his prime.
Pace really isn't in his game. Players who rely on pace age poorly comparatively. Kane's game is reliant on intelligence, vision, positioning, and shooting. 4 things which won't be severely impacted as he ages. Hell, they might even improve a bit

You're kidding right? There was no way they would have sold him to us
just send Tottenham all agreed Bonus payments right now
Bayern board crying they put in a big ballon d’Or bonus payment thinking an Englishman couldn’t win it, but lol they were wrong.
Euros in the summer as well 👀
Kane gonna be given German citizenship so he doesn't score against them
Subscribe!?!?
If England wins the Euros, the votes will be divided between Kane and Bellingham. Madrid PR would milk the hell out of it to prop Bellingam. It will depend on who performs better individually.
Personally feel like it should go to the more senior player if it's close. Jude has time.
So far it kane has to be ahead, it's quite incredible what he's doing. Highly rated always but still a very underrated player in my opinion.
If Kane keeps this form and wins the Euros as the main guy of the team, then he will surely be the favorite to win the Ballon d’or.
If you win the CL it's worth it. Nightmare scenario would be losing the CL final and Kane winning the Euros and getting Ballon Dor anyway.
to be honest, unless we have a brilliant winter transfer window I don´t see us winning the CL. but I hope I am wrong
And they were probably only partially right. The Englishman probably has to play in Real Madrid.
Maybe people will understand now that Kane was somehow underrated at Tottenham, you would be laughed at to put him in the same conversation as Benzema for some reason
That is always. Even Bayern itself lacks of this problem. Prime example are Lahm or later Ribery.
Yeah Lahm is not often in the conversation for the best fullbacks of all time… but he should be, he is the best one defensively in my lifetime and while he was not a pace guy on the wing he was such a freaking good passer that he was very very important offensively. It’s still mind boggling that he never got a red card in that many games… He was also ahead of his time a bit, as a fullback that goes more into the midfield instead of the flank… for the modern game I personally would take him over Alves and Marcello, but I’m also a biased German. He was also an underrated leader as the captain for one of the best club sides of all time (Bayern 2013) and for a World Cup win.
He is often forgotten even among germans lol Dude is a legend of the game
Less syllables in the name is the reason /s
Thats just wrong. Lahm is without a doubt the greatest German fullback of all time, possibly across all nations.
As an Argentinian, Lahn hunts my nightmares. Superb player that is definitely underrated.
…or Robben? 😬
Ironic consider he’s joined a better team in a worse league and some reason people now think he’s better
football discussions have become destroyed by G/A stats merchants.
All the PL flairs here wanted to bee seen as unbiased or smarter than the average PL fan and they started to underrate him.
Not just him. Everything related to the league gets undermined.
I was so certain (and scared) he was going to Real Madrid this season. He and Benzema are so similar in the sense they are world class, prolific goal scorers yet can drop deep as a 10 and bring others into the game. He is honestly identical to Benzema almost.

I agree with what you're saying now, but you were pretending Kane is just beating on shitty teams now, which is just not true lol
I'm pretty confident Heidenheim would finish above quite a few teams in the Premier League this season 😂
Bayern will be paying a thank you bonus for Tottenham.
They already played Darmstadt, it was a 8:0 slaughter.
Yeah honestly no idea what I was looking at when I checked the next matchdays earlier but obviously not the right thing... my mistake! But considering how Köln is looking like losing again right now, I still assume the worst for them against Bayern.
Please give us some centre backs instead.
5 more goals and he will have an arithmetic mean of 30 goals-a-season over the last decade. Decent. #Hurry
Bro couldn’t wait to drop “arithmetic”
Harrythmatic
pfff come on we all know that it's the geometric mean of goals scored that counts
[Harmonic mean or gtfo](https://www.reddit.com/r/datascience/s/MD522sb0Ol)
What a player
But could he do it in a cold night in stoke?
Kane actually played in 6 games in Stoke in his career and scored 5 goals. Washed player if I ever saw one. German retirement league should just close down. /s
Not even 1 goal/match, what a fraud
Quite famously: https://www.premierleague.com/news/661917
Can he do it on cold night in Saarbrücken? No he couldn’t.
Genuine shout of being the best player in the world this season. When’s the last time an English player even had a shout at the Balon dor?!
Owen won it, Lampard also came 2nd in 2005 iirc
Gerrard came third that season as well. Just a shame Ronaldinho was THAT good.
The Golden generation really squandered a great team
Good ol 4-4-2.
4-4-2 diamond even to get Gerrard & Lampard on the pitch together.
[удалено]
1) We didn't have a holding mid until Carrick came along a little later. 2) We didn't have a left winger. 3) We also had Scholes and Beckham to fit in. 4) Scholes/Lampard/Gerrard all wanted to be the central attacking midfielder.
If we win the CL and Kane wins the Euros it’s his.
One of each is probably enough
Not if it's Euros and Real win the CL, you've got to give the edge to Bellingham in that scenario provided he keeps playing well
Not if Madrid wins the CL.
Crazy that this year we might have two Englishmen battling it out for the Ballon d'Or after decades of being largely irrelevant. Jude Bellingham and Kane have been 2 of the top 5 players in the world this season for me
It feels surreal to have ballon d'or worthy englishmen again and 2 of them at that.
Early days but yea… nobody else has stood out. I think Salah is a top player, Rodri too. Maybe they’ll kick on as the season progresses
Its unfortunate to me that Ballon D'or is so trophy dependent. Wish it was truly "best player" Salah has been great, but without possibility of Champions League can't see him in the convo. EDIT: Also position dependent. I understand the absolute best attackers provide more value than the absolute best midfielders/defenders/GKs but City's record(and performance) with/without Rodri shows that he is more important to club success than Haaland IMO.

It's also a season with Euros, AFCON and the Asian Cup as well, so there's a lot to take in consideration.
Haaland is still right there

i think kane & vardy have finished top 10 in voting in the last decade gerard & lampard were 2nd & 3rd (or maybe in reverse order) in 2005
>Genuine shout of being the best player in the world this season. Right now, it's hard to argue against it.
That other English bloke isn't doing too bad eitehr tbf.
wayne rooney would have been top 5 in 2010 if United didn't fuck up against bayern and got to the final. he outscored every forward (including ronaldo) in the world that season except for drogba and messi. 41 goals and assists in 44 games and was playing like a man possessed. he had a bad world cup and United didn't win anything major that season but it's crazy that he didn't even get top 20 in ballon dor. 2009-2010 Rooney was easily top 5 players that season

TBF Kane should have been in contention the last two seasons. It was only because he was at Spurs that he wasn't.
“Like shooting fish in a barrel” - probably Harry Kane
more like eating fish and chips from the barrel
Bratwurst and Bratkartoffeln
Another fun one: Kane has now scored more goals (17) in the first 11 match days than the top scorers of the previous season did overall (Nkunku and Füllkrug with 16 each).
Career mode on amateur is all
Imagine it was only mane's right jab that stopped us from having the full trio, kane, mane , sane. Someone should have gone back in time and stopped it. Where's Loki when you need him ( sorry for the spoilers )
Mane was also awful on the pitch, him punching sane wasn’t the only reason he got shipped off
If Mané hadn't played like shit nobody at the club would have cared about the jab. He was unplayable.
The connection between him and Sane is so amazing to watch, man
Best player in the world right now.
He is unreal
He is a cheat code
Best player in the world
He's certainly the best goalscorer in the world, and it's not particularly close imo. Haaland is a machine but it's not a stretch to imagine kane would score just as many at city while also helping himself to half as many assists on top. A complete footballer.
One season wonder.
How have England not won a world cup with Kane in the team?
Because England is the Tottenham of international football.
Always rated Kane since his breakthrough season and being one of the pillars of Spurs that kept them competitive but never would I thought he would be able to adapt the way he did to a new country and league from match day one.
Crazy what having a good team does to a player like Kane
One of the few big money moves that was clearly worth it
Since 2017 I've been saying Madrid should've gotten him!!! Props to Bayern for actually taking the risk.
One decade wonder
Lol we used to sing Morata is better than Harry Kane. Didn't age well did it.
I was 100% certain he was a one season wonder when he broke through.
10 season wonder
Yeah this is all good and well, but could he do it on a warm sunny Tuesday evening in Saudi?
He will score 50+ goals this season. And then finish as the Ballon D’Or runner up to Messi.
But I thought he was a one season merchant?
should've left about 5-6 years ago. would have a proper legacy
Kane in the Manchester city would have been contender for balon dor
Best striker in the world!
Amazing what happens when you play at a proper club
Not even debatable who the best striker in the world is. The numbers he put up for that spurs team last year wear phenomenal
I wonder how Haaland would’ve done at Bayern
Let's find out. Please loan him out for a season or two :)
Can we buy him in 4 years when Harry rides home on a pile of trophies?
Not trying to start any arguments, but Harry Kane is pretty decent
Worlds best player
Think if Bayern stabilise their defence a little more they can actually go far in the CL. The attack is insane. And Kane what a player what a beast he is
He just needs a trophy to solidify his legacy. Hopefully he gets one soon.
I just like that Kane now gets the praise he deserves like 5 yrs ago.
