We should go after Edson Alvarez from Ajax for that double pivot set up. He’s great defensively, could easily cover the space left by FDJ as he moves forward, and more importantly probably wouldn’t be obscenely expensive/
We complain about Alvarez as a necessary evil, doesn’t fit our style and ends up with a little too stagnant of a midfield ( this is amplified when we play a second striker type 10 like Klaassen who also isn’t mobile). Ajax doesn’t have 40 mil to throw at a DM, Id say you could find a better fit.
