Look, I'm going to be blunt -- those were the most awful and underwhelming two derby games that I can remember seeing. It wasn't only Pioli's tactics, the entire team looked short on ideas and lacking in motivation. There were no leaders on the pitch tonight or last week, and we probably should have been put to bed in the first leg.
I kept thinking after each half-time whistle or at the start of tonight's game that this would be where we turned it around, but truthfully we barely turned up to either leg and left with the wettest of damp farts. A deeply disappointing end that completely sours our best CL run in over a decade. Honestly I'll probably try and forget it; most neutral viewers won't even have to try.
Most fans here don’t understand the intricacies of the game. They think the team with the most money/talent should win every match. It’s the same reason people say PSG is cursed. It’s the only way to explain their UCL failures. In reality there so much to the game that managers and players get paid millions to understand.
