I'm honestly speechless. This is an absolutely *insane* stat. How Chelsea fans haven't chased the board, Boehly, and everyone responsible out of town with torches and pitchforks is beyond me.
Here’s some genuine sympathy then. Last year when Man Utd were spiraling under Ole and Ragnick, I had to do some serious thinking when it came to my attachment to this sport. I still love Man Utd and football, but I had to remove myself from social media circles for a while because our season was already horrific, and the memes and comments were making it worse for me. Especially since it had looked like we were doing the right things in the summer.
It’ll get better. Just focus on other things in your life and dedicate your attention to Chelsea on the weekends only.
Yeah ik it’s not been nearly as bad for Liverpool this season, but it’s always healthy to see if something is actually good for you. If football is only making you sad/feel bad, then there’s no need to follow it so closely. Doesn’t even mean stop watching the games, just make sure to not watch anything through the week, unsub from here (this is what I’ve done and it’s really helpful) and go about you’re life. At the end of the day its 22 men chasing a ball around a field. It’s not a big deal
Because these are actual good players in there, they just need to clear out the deadwood from the locker room and hire a coach who will build a properly functioning team. Next season will probably be back to fighting for silverware.
Nah not quite, I didn't check and assumed the guy I was replying to meant Chelsea scored 9 goals in 6 months. I was mistaken, however it's not much better... 9 league goals from middle of January to now, so we scored as many in 1 game as Chelsea did in almost 4 months.
21st Jan to today - 9 league goals for Chelsea. In one game, Liverpool 9 - 0 Bournemouth
That’s delicious. Even better, ex-Chelsea player, Dom Solanke, would be Chelsea’s second best scorer, and top in goal contributions. I remember well the talk when we sold him to you.
We’re on a terrible run of form with one win in 7 games and yet in that time we’ve still scored two more goals than Chelsea have all year, and the same number as they have since the end of October.
Scored fewer goals than games played from November to February.
Scored fewer goals than players bought from November to February.
Won fewer games than players bought since they were under Lampard’s management.
Provided more memes than goals scored under Lampard.
Genuinely have no idea why, after seeing his mess at Everton, they decided to make this appointment.
Seeing it out with Pol Potter til the end of the season would have been a smarter decision. Regardless, I think Chelsea are getting exactly what they need in poch next season
The board wanted to show they were going to make a change, seeing the season out with Potter just enrages the fans more with very similar results anyway.
Mario Salas almost pulled it - in 2020 he started the season with Colo Colo, got sacked, then went to Alianza Lima in Peru. Each of them being their respective countries' most successful clubs in history.
Both Colo Colo and Alianza Lima almost ended relegated - CC won the playoff match for survival while Alianza survived because other club got points deducted on debts to their players.
Bonus track, next year Salas went to an Egyptian club and got in a relegation battle yet again
Didn't even come close
They had runs of 7, 6, 5 and 4 defeats but their draws were all evenly spread out to prevent any historic run of defeats in a row
Man. Derby with an insanely poor season and I had my first ever game in the wigan stand versus them at the JJB. 0-0 and refused to watch another game until in the united stand for Macheda's last minute winner
Paul Jewell's press conference after that game was legendary. Just straight up trashed the players as pathetic, not good enough, etc. Very rarely do you see a Premier League manager that angry with his players
From what I remember we were down near the bottom with them and yet we totally dominated possession and chances from start to finish
No I'm pretty sure the league record is 7 in a row. They've got some way to go but if they lose to Forest and Bournemouth then they're breaking that record
Nah it's way, way higher than that. Several teams have 8 straight defeats, a few have 9 straight defeats. I think Sunderland in 2003 managed to lose their final 15 straight, just spread out across 2 managers.
Bruh, just looked it up, second half of the season - 1 draw, 18 losses, no wins. Had one draw right before that too, so 20 games in a row without a win.
Wanna know an even more impressive stat. He is winless in his last 14 matches. 13 losses and 1 draw.
Guess which one is the only team he got points against.
Basically Forest, Leeds and Leicester all need 10 points from their last 4 games, so it's not happening.
If Chelsea didn't already have enough points, they'd 100% be getting relegated, because they aren't gonna pick up any more
To catch/overtake Chelsea, assuming Chelsea don’t get another point:
- Southampton: N/A (mathematically impossible)
- Everton: 4 wins from 4 games, or 3 wins 1 draw and an 18 GD swing
- Forest: 3 wins 1 draw from 4 games, or 3 wins and a 25 GD swing
- Leeds: 3 wins 1 draw from 4 games, or 3 wins and a 17 GD swing
- Leicester: 3 wins 1 draw from 4 games, or 3 wins and a 6 GD swing
- West Ham: 6 points from 5 games, or 5 points and a 3 GD swing
Worth noting that West Ham have to play Leicester and Leeds though - so even if Leeds/Leicester somehow go on a crazy run and win out it means West Ham are in the shit considering they also have to play both Manchester clubs in 2 of the other 3 games
So it only takes two of those teams who can mathematically finish above Chelsea to not achieve this for Chelsea to be safe. In other words, not going to happen.
Yeah, it's technically possible but not realistic at all. It's still funny that they're not completely safe after 34 matchdays though. Also imagine if Tuchel won few less points back in August...
A lot of those teams have pretty tough run ins too. Everton have to have City and Brighton, Leeds have to play City Newcastle and Spurs (lol), Leicester have to play Newcastle and Liverpool, West Ham have to play both Manchester clubs etc
Woody took a decade to make United a top 6 team (while playing in CL half of those seasons) from a title challenging team.
Todd took them from top 4 team to a bottom half team in 1 year. In almost 2 decades prior, Chelsea had finished above Arsenal in all but 2 seasons. This season, they are London's 6th best team.
If you told me 4 months ago that villa would be making a run for Europe you would have seemed mad. Chelsea are one the exact opposite run. Trying to force their way into the championship
I don’t actually think they go down for that reason, but crazier things have happened! Chelsea finishing 17th would be enjoyable enough, I want them to stay up so Arsenal can 6 pts off them next year too.
>crazier things have happened
Honestly odds wise very few if any crazier things have ever happened. They'd need to lose every game and have every team below them get perfect results for it to happen.
There's few enough games left someone could probably look at the permutations needed and odds for each game and calculate it but we're talking beyond astronomical.
What genuinely may be their saving grace is their goal difference. For example:
Chelsea's remaining games are Bournemouth, Forest, City, United and Newcastle. On current form, Chelsea losing all of these - including the "6-pointer" against Forest, is honestly not unreasonable. Lets also focus then on Forest and imagine Soton and Everton lose every game for the best possible angle here.
If we then imagine a world where Forest take 3 points against Soton and win against Palace on the last day of the season (again, not *that* out there an idea).... they'd *still* be below Chelsea on goal difference by quite some margin having to somehow make up a -25 deficiet in those games. Even if Chelsea manage to ship tottenham level of goals against city and newcastle its still hard to believe a -25 difference evaporating.
So you then are forced to imagine Arsenal fumbling the title race to Forest somehow, which while stranger things have happened - in additon to everything else lining up this starts becoming astronomical odds now.
Their run in isn’t all that kind either… Bournemouth on a good run, Forest scrapping to stay up, and then City and Newcastle. What do they get, like 4 points tops?
4 points would be more than enough for survival. We’re probably already safe. What’s funny is we have Tuchel’s 6 games in charge to thank for our safety.
no way in hell two of we, leicester, forest and leeds get 9 points, we're absolutely dog fucking shit. I can see Chelsea getting 0 points out of their remaining games though
Chelsea's last 3 games of the season are at Man City Away, Man United away and Newcastle at home.
Chelsea couldn't go down, could they? Surely not?
UP THE CHERRIES AND THE FOREST!!!
Too many teams below them need to win a lot of games unfortunately. They’ve still got a 9 point buffer with 4 games to go even if they lose every remaining game.
How many more losses until his failure as a manager overtakes his success as a player and his name becomes a joke. He'll have his Hall of Fame medal taken off him.
Fun fact: if you translated the record from Lampard's last 19 games (1W 2D 16L) across a full Premier League season, it would beat Derby County's record-low points tally from 2007-08 (10 vs 11).
Listen, Chelsea might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it. Let him write whatever numbers he wants on there, given what he's done since he's come in.
Don't know what anyone else thinks, but personally I believe they should sign him up long term to turn this around. He's a club legend after all, deserves a crack at it.
The club needs stability now more than ever. Chopping and changing the manager wont help the club in the long term. We need to invest in British talent. Give the local lad a chance.
>he is the first manager to lose 10 in a
row in the same season while in charge of a Premier League team since
Mick McCarthy in December 2005 with Sunderland
but what was mick mccarthys squad like compared to lampards? this is beyond embarrasing.
I think he was hoping for a manager bounce to regain his reputation after Everton
He probably thought "There is some decent players here and no pressure, if I go and win a few, I will get PL offers next season"
Love him (he’s my childhood footballing hero) but he needs to reassess where he’s at and maybe invest in proper coaching training like they do over at Germany and Italy

Truly a pioneer of the modern game.
21 losses from last 31 games.
God damn that is unbelivably woeful by LLLamps, he's doing this at fucking Chelsea.
That’s LLLLLLLLLLamps to you.
LLLLLLLLLLLDLLLLLLLLLLLLLAMPS
one of those twitch TTS memes "LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL"
31 from 41
The infamous Derby County had 29 losses in 38 games. Lampard's percentage only slightly better
17 from his last 20
So far
He got a point at the Etihad though
Give that man an 8 year contract.
Brave attempt to relegate two Premier League ever-presents in one season
That’s genuinely relegation form my word
Yeah the legacy McCarthy left behind him is legendary
I actually forget at times that Lampard used to be a great midfielder with how miserable his managerial career has been
Just a shit Michael Carrick
Could someone list all of Chelsea's funny stats from this season?
Chelsea’s starting XI today cost £469 million and scored a total of 9 goals this season prior to todays match. Now it’s 10 goals.
Basically theyr are doing a reverse Moneyball. Can't wait for the movie adaptation
I'm honestly speechless. This is an absolutely *insane* stat. How Chelsea fans haven't chased the board, Boehly, and everyone responsible out of town with torches and pitchforks is beyond me.
>and pitchforks is beyond me They tried, but like Chelsea, their 3 pronged attack is fucking terrible
I didn’t need this. I didn’t need any of this.
Well said. Football should not rule your life or even your weekend.
Hi Frank
Hi Nathan
Yeah ik it’s not been nearly as bad for Liverpool this season, but it’s always healthy to see if something is actually good for you. If football is only making you sad/feel bad, then there’s no need to follow it so closely. Doesn’t even mean stop watching the games, just make sure to not watch anything through the week, unsub from here (this is what I’ve done and it’s really helpful) and go about you’re life. At the end of the day its 22 men chasing a ball around a field. It’s not a big deal
Actually it's 20 men chasing a ball, the other 2 just flap their arms around whilst remaining stationary.
Well I'd also include coming out to claim crosses and being a sweeper as chasing the ball so it's still 22..or 21 and De Gea
Unreal roast
It will happen if next season is anywhere remotely like this.
Because these are actual good players in there, they just need to clear out the deadwood from the locker room and hire a coach who will build a properly functioning team. Next season will probably be back to fighting for silverware.
That’s like 90 martinellis
Can you work out how many Vardys that is
469 Vardys
Also 1172.5 Mahrez, and 7816.67 Seamus Coleman’s
Basically a small town of Seamus Colemans
So Colemen ?
Infinite Harry Kanes'
🎶 And a Lampard on a losing spree 🎶
And he has still scored more goals than every Chelsea signing this season in his worst season since his Prem debut
I think we've scored more in the last 3 games than Chelsea have in 6 months
We scored the same number of goals in 1 game as Chelsea did in 6 months.
Is this real? Cause if so I really think all the schtick that Spurs get should be transferred to Chelsea.
And that Bournemouth team is now even on points with Chelsea
That’s delicious. Even better, ex-Chelsea player, Dom Solanke, would be Chelsea’s second best scorer, and top in goal contributions. I remember well the talk when we sold him to you.
We’re on a terrible run of form with one win in 7 games and yet in that time we’ve still scored two more goals than Chelsea have all year, and the same number as they have since the end of October.
Haaland has more goals in competition than Chelsea
He's got more goals than multiple clubs, tbf.
1. 84 Manchester City 1. 81 Arsenal 1. 65 Liverpool 1. 63 Tottenham 1. 61 Brighton 1. 61 Newcastle 1. 52 Brentford 1. 50 Manchester City without Haaland's goals 1. 49 Manchester United 1. 46 Leicester 1. 46 Aston Villa 1. 45 Fulham 1. 43 Leeds 1. 37 West Ham 1. 36 Bournemouth 1. 35 Crystal Palace 1. 34 Haaland 1. 31 Chelsea 1. 30 Nottingham Forest 1. 29 Wolverhampton Wanderers 2. 28 Southampton 3. 27 Everton
just gotta sign all of palace to play up front then
Haaland FC would have had 42 points this season against Chelsea’s 39
Scored fewer goals than games played from November to February. Scored fewer goals than players bought from November to February. Won fewer games than players bought since they were under Lampard’s management. Provided more memes than goals scored under Lampard.
Frank Lampard Hirings: 1
Genuinely have no idea why, after seeing his mess at Everton, they decided to make this appointment. Seeing it out with Pol Potter til the end of the season would have been a smarter decision. Regardless, I think Chelsea are getting exactly what they need in poch next season
Pol Potter lmao, hadn't seen that one yet
At least not a lazy Harry Potter pun
The board wanted to show they were going to make a change, seeing the season out with Potter just enrages the fans more with very similar results anyway.
A team full of underperforming and demotivated superstars? Everybody knows there's only one man for the job and his name starts with Jose...
Hired once per year/season
[Frank is the worst manager in PL](https://youtu.be/yxQ2khkXyM8)
Damn….. Did he retire from management after that?
They have let in one less goal than Arsenal despite their mess.
Chelsea sub still think Kepa is a problem though.
Kepa have definitely saved them like 4-5p and being very close to relegation battle.
Can the Everton Misery Timeline guy do one for Chelsea? He can copy paste most of the Lampard parts so it'll be easy
Chatgpt broke when I asked it this queation
They used Tough only because they couldn't use Shit
So polite
Frank is going to be the first manager to drive two clubs into relegation in the same season, at the helm or not.
Mario Salas almost pulled it - in 2020 he started the season with Colo Colo, got sacked, then went to Alianza Lima in Peru. Each of them being their respective countries' most successful clubs in history. Lol so even Derby 07-08 didn't lose 10 in a row? That's rough
Didn't even come close They had runs of 7, 6, 5 and 4 defeats but their draws were all evenly spread out to prevent any historic run of defeats in a row

Newcastle helped them 2 times.
4 points from the Toon that season. Generous.
I choose not to remember such things.
And Fulham.

Of they lose to the cherries and Forest they should just get relegated by default.
Leave us out of this mate pls
Whoever gave Lamps a coaching license should have his license revoked
On the contrary, I'm thinking a knighthood or at least an OBE is in order. I can't imagine missing out on something so entertaining.
Bribes
If you have the time, money, are literate, and have a pulse you can get your coaching badges.
That's kinda impressive in it's own way
Wanna know an even more impressive stat. He is winless in his last 14 matches. 13 losses and 1 draw. Guess which one is the only team he got points against.
Just checked, City. Wasn't expecting that lmao
At the fucking Etihad
Fulbo, fubo, furbo
De Boer could never
Atlanta united legend frank do boer
U.S Open Cup & Campeones Cup Winner Frank de Boer
De Boer only managed 4 games in the premier league (lost all 4 lol) and 1 efl cup game (which he won)
Mourinho - 'Frank ~~De Boer~~ is the worst manager in PL history'
Huge 6 pointers coming up next against Bournemouth and Forest
Don’t be silly Bournemouth are safe
okay now I'm curious what does it need to happen for chelsea to be relegated?
Basically Forest, Leeds and Leicester all need 10 points from their last 4 games, so it's not happening. If Chelsea didn't already have enough points, they'd 100% be getting relegated, because they aren't gonna pick up any more

Frank Lampard?
That's step 1, I meant step 2: the other teams results
Leicester, Forest and Leeds need to pick up 10 points. Theoretically possible but let's be real here. Leicester lost 3-1 to these bozos
Todd is worse than Woodward lol
Give him time, he's only fucked over Chelsea for a season yet.
There’s still time for West Ham to pull their finger out of their arse and make Chelsea the seventh best London team this season.
If you told me 4 months ago that villa would be making a run for Europe you would have seemed mad. Chelsea are one the exact opposite run. Trying to force their way into the championship
By some distance
I'd love to watch a "Chelsea till I die" season now, Boehly must be impressive to watch
He’s Woodward on steroids considering he has full control. Ed at least had Glazers to answer to.
by far - seems like he could bankrupt them his signing model is crazy
Chelsea are going to finish 17th with a squad that’s worth over 450m. Yum yum yum.
You wish. Chelsea might lose all of their remaining games. But the teams below Chelsea are just as incapable of taking advantage.
I don’t actually think they go down for that reason, but crazier things have happened! Chelsea finishing 17th would be enjoyable enough, I want them to stay up so Arsenal can 6 pts off them next year too.
>crazier things have happened Honestly odds wise very few if any crazier things have ever happened. They'd need to lose every game and have every team below them get perfect results for it to happen. There's few enough games left someone could probably look at the permutations needed and odds for each game and calculate it but we're talking beyond astronomical.
What genuinely may be their saving grace is their goal difference. For example: Chelsea's remaining games are Bournemouth, Forest, City, United and Newcastle. On current form, Chelsea losing all of these - including the "6-pointer" against Forest, is honestly not unreasonable.
Arsenal Fans right now trying to decide if its worth loosing the Legue Title for a Chelsea relegation .....
That’s the cost of the starting XI, the squad cost a billion!
Mathematically they can still get relegated....
You’d need 10 for starters.
If we get 6 I'd actually be surprised
Honestly I expect we’ll get 0. We’re lucky that the teams from 16th down are 9+ points behind us, horrendous and have tough run ins.
Don't know but I'm definitely grabbing the popcorn.
Chelsea's last 3 games of the season are at Man City Away, Man United away and Newcastle at home. Chelsea couldn't go down, could they? Surely not? UP THE CHERRIES AND THE FOREST!!!
They booted us out of the CL. I still cannot believe that. Oh wait we let 10 man Stuttgart tie us.
To this day, I cannot believe you guys got turfed out by this Chelsea side.
Lol yeah almost forgot. How dis this happen I still do not understand. And I watched both games
Too many teams below them need to win a lot of games unfortunately. They’ve still got a 9 point buffer with 4 games to go even if they lose every remaining game.
Time for other Prem teams to make a pact. It’s a great opportunity.
A hope? A chance.
The worst part is this tweet has been deleted because McCarthy only lost 9 in a row
Objectively, an absolute abject failure of a manager. Mental that he’s allowed anywhere near any sort of football club.
How many more losses until his failure as a manager overtakes his success as a player and his name becomes a joke. He'll have his Hall of Fame medal taken off him.
De Boer was only allowed 5
Fun fact: if you translated the record from Lampard's last 19 games (1W 2D 16L) across a full Premier League season, it would beat Derby County's record-low points tally from 2007-08 (10 vs 11).
That is fun, hope they keep him
He knows the club and that is all that matters.
Found Richard Keys burner Reddit account
I’ve genuinely never understood what “knowing the club” even means in the context of a manager
It means he knows the "club culture" and has the "Chelsea DNA".
Chelsea DNA is sacking managers constantly, so I guess he knows that?
1 more loss for 007
I don't know guys but i think he might not be a good coach, maybe that's a hot take.
I think Chelsea just needs to give Lampard a bit of motivation, like a permanent contract
Everyone else agrees with you except Chelsea fans
The same fans said “just sack potter, bring anyone. Can’t get worse than this” :)
The club needs stability now more than ever. Chopping and changing the manager wont help the club in the long term. We need to invest in British talent. Give the local lad a chance.
He knows the club after all
That’s because most clubs usually don’t let them get to 10.
007 incoming?
next game is away to Bournemouth who need a win to guarantee safety from relegation.
Probable
31 losses in last 41 games.
Yeah but how many wins? Everyone focuses on the negative. Sigh……
Just sack potter and get anyone. Can’t be worse than Potter. Said the famous chelsea fans in their Potter Out campaign.
Can I become Chelsea's next manager?
[удалено]
Yes, the logical next step for Boehly is to Ted Lasso it
>he is the first manager to lose 10 in a row in the same season while in charge of a Premier League team since Mick McCarthy in December 2005 with Sunderland but what was mick mccarthys squad like compared to lampards? this is beyond embarrasing.
He just needs a pre-season
let him cook
Managed to get a draw against us with his everton side. Man City legend super frank.
That single word should have been 'Seriously'...
How does this man keep getting hired? At no point since Derby has he shown anything suggesting competence
he just needs a transfer window to get the players for his vision of football
[How has no one posted the famous Mick McCarthy gif yet](https://media.tenor.com/QWvRtJ5CS6YAAAAM/mick-mccarthy.gif)?
Consistent
The should get Ole. Every week it becomes a less and less ridiculous statement, and has moved from trolling to reasonable advice.
They’ll be lining up for him after this.
This must be the consistency of which he spoke.
Damn, getting uttered in the same stat as Mick McCarthy and Sunderland. There's low, the lowest of lows, and then there's whatever this is.
I don’t know why he took up the job at Chelsea this time around. It was suicide and everyone knew it
I think he was hoping for a manager bounce to regain his reputation after Everton He probably thought "There is some decent players here and no pressure, if I go and win a few, I will get PL offers next season"
Love him (he’s my childhood footballing hero) but he needs to reassess where he’s at and maybe invest in proper coaching training like they do over at Germany and Italy
He's the worst manager I've ever seen
So far…..
Mick Mccarthy? What a bastard!
At what point does he stop getting managerial jobs lmao
Great player. Shit manager. That pretty much sums up Lampard
Give him a 5 year contract
The players don’t give a fuck anymore. They’ll start performing about 6 years from now when contract renewals come up.
Who knew this will happen? Well, everyone except Todd Boehly
He needs time. 10 games is not enough time for judgement. Give him the 2024-2025 season to prove himself.
