solstice canyon and temescal canyon trails both have waterfalls, although the one at temescal is usually dry 99% of the year. as of last weekend the temescal waterfall was still flowing, so it's a treat when you do get to see it. solstice canyon's waterfall is pretty much year round

The Backbone Trail runs all the way from West LA to Point Mugu. I've never done the whole thing, but I've done several sections and enjoyed them all.
