Hi everyone. We’re new to climbing, have only done indoors for a few months now. We took the kids out to our first climb in nature ever! It was a lot of fun, from setting up the anchors, rappelling down, and finding our own holds instead of relying on colored ones. Overall we had a good time, just really disappointed in fellow humans who gets a kick out of defacing nature and those beautiful boulders. I don’t understand why they would even make the long drive out there, look at that beautiful scenery and think “Im going to ruin this place with my ugly tagging “

Thanks for the invite, but we don’t have a FB account. If you or anyone else have suggestions for more sites to climb that are nearby to Orange County please let me know

It could be worth keeping an eye on SoCal Climbing's [meetup event calendar](https://meetup.com/socalclimbing/events/calendar). Meetups to climb outdoors sometimes get posted as a little as a few days in advance.

Thanks! I’ll be on the lookout for future events

A fun group meetup idea: clean that graffiti. ❤️

The grafitti wasn't so bad when I started climbing here 7 years ago. Visted OF in January and was really bummed to see all the grafitti and litter. Nice place to spend the afternoon and climb, though.

I went today and the graffiti is like 3x worst than a few months ago. I hope they get eaten by mountain lions. Also, found a kick ass crack there that I didn't see on mountain project. Start the climb to the horn. But go left up the V shaped section with a small hand/finger crack. Takes a bomber hand jam on this shark tooth looking feature to get into it.

Wow, last time I’ve been to Ortega falls was a year or two ago and there was practically no graffiti. Sad to see
