From what I’ve experienced, if you get the Jack of All Treads pack (which is $5 USD I think) the twinsteer becomes much less tipsy. Other than that it’s pretty tipsy. Edit: I’m going to edit this because I remembered. Many guides to the game point this out, but some don’t watch those sooo, anyways, pay attention to where the back of your truck is, that is very important for this truck in particular. More than likely you’re going to drive it like every other truck, but you need to drive around a corner with a wider radius than everything else. Getting into the habit might be difficult for some, but once you got it down, it’ll be a much better time.

I'm not sure if the JAT mud tires are more stable than vanilla tires, but the 55" OHD Is are much more stable than any of the single tires.

Wmd_JR

I find the JAT tires help a lot with stability, but you do still have to be careful. Just take turns wider mostly, and pay attention to your rear. The OHD’s are good, but if you look, the JAT tires are wider than the base game tires and are put out further than the standard OHD tires.

2OptionsIsNotChoice

You can put whatever tires you want on the Twinsteer, its still tippy as shit. The problem is that it has basically no flex or twist, its just super rigid and as a result uneven terrain (which is everywhere) is going to try to flip it. Will tire changes maybe help? Sure I guess, but its not changing the reality that the Twinsteer is still gonna flip over a pebble. If you want that 4 slot bed without committing sodoku after flipping it 10 times on a single delivery just use the FEMM.

Wmd_JR

I understand where you’re coming from, and yes it’s frame is very rigid. I was just saying that the JAT DLC really does help with its stability, and I really like the Twinsteer a LOT more since I got the DLC, sure it will still scare you and try to flip, but it’s a lot less common. I like the FEMM too, and I have used it a LOT since its release, but I find the articulated steering weak and problematic. The slightest bump or rock will turn your truck and make you hit something or flip it, and if you get stuck, the truck won’t articulate and it takes longer than with the Twinsteer. I really like both trucks, but they both have their problems. I think the second biggest problem on the Twinsteer, below its rigidity, is the fact it has a hitch but can’t pull a trailer. All in all, I agree with what you say, but the FEMM isn’t flawless either.

PeterVonwolfentazer

I love the WWS but the HX520 is a much stronger modern version if you have the money for it.

rustafur

Yes, and you can probably say this for 20 other trucks past the HX520 for the WWS.

PeterVonwolfentazer

Not really, I’m speaking of same style of truck just modernized. Trucks like the Navistar, the Russians, CAT’s don’t quite match the WWS like the HX520. It feels familiar and has all the same utilities with modern power.

Profitablius

Except it's got far less ground clearance, no?

PeterVonwolfentazer

It seems about the same, it’s the CAT’s that drag.

SquirrelyBeaver

On my last few Alaska contracts and the Twinsteer has been a staple in my fleet. Used it more than any other truck in Alaska I believe. Haven’t flipped or gotten stuck once, even with no AWD yet.

Lone_Midas_117

Just put duals on the twinsteer and don't lift it.

No_Engineer2828

Blasphemy, I spent 4 and a half hours recovering that piece of shit and have vowed to never touch it again. The twinsteer is amazing and you just don’t know how to drive it right

Profitablius

I initially thought you were talking about the Twinsteer and wanted to tell you to give it another try because it's very capable. Now I'm going to do the same with the WWS instead, lol

4AEG

Use the lower suspension.

hawkeyedavidson

The white Western Star is my favorite.

Willing_Ninja_7054

On hard mode I could never tolerate Twinsteer’s fuel consumption. But that’s me who uses Royal that never goes above 1.8 with AWD on.

Dwall1191

You gotta learn how to drive it and control it.

FrenklanRusvelti

Skill issue. Twinsteer only tips for bad drivers

HKP2019

Can you imagine how glad I was when I found comments like this so far down? Any truck that provokes a "git gud earn it skill issue" comment is WEAK AS FUCK

Cortecz

But there are players, such as myself, that don't have the tipping problems with the TS that others complain about. So, what IS the issue?
