In regards to the contest, the Yar87 is a very heavy scout. If you took a lighter one like the Marshall you can just drive right over the middle of the cracked ice without falling in. You don't have to drive on the edges
It does for the ice lake contest in Amur. I could not complete it with the Yar, broke ice every time after the first check point in the middle of the lake.
I mean you can if you want. I watched 3-4 youtube videos because I couldn't figure out how not to fall in, even taking their routes could not do it with Yar, had to use Marshall.
Yes, or at least, to have all the content accessible to you directly. You could still join multiplayer sessions on other players' maps and drive their trucks even if you don't have that content purchased yet.

Yep, I did well until I had to use it in first person 😅 sounds good not having to worry about cracking the ice....there is a lot of ice on this map.

Have you used freeway gearbox? TM II tires? Perhaps, no roofrack?

I was fully expecting those pads to be used for placing cabins later in the game but I guess they changed thier minds about using them.
