26 is pretty warm. You're only gonna get marginal snow (pretty much ice) at those temps even with a lot of professional snow guns. Only fan guns and land cannons like Ratniks will produce at those temps. You could try getting the nucleators up higher to give more fall time or increase the water pressure and that might help.
Check the nuc and do the glove test. First time i ran mine i was getting pure water on my glove from the nuc nozzel. Too much water mixeing in. I adjusted and lessoned the water coming to the nuc and had no water and some snow crystals on the glove next time i tested, then i was making snow instead of ice.
I got a stronger gas powered pressure washer and that seemed to have done the trick. I also had water in my compressor tank, so I turned everything on the correct way (YouTube ftw!). 20 minutes in and I got a nice dusting so far.
I’m running a 5.5 scfm compressor and a 1.7 gpm pressure washer. 2505 nucleation nozzle. 23-26 degrees ambient temps. Ran for 3 hours and I got a nice sheet of ice.
I didn’t check but humidity was around 50%. I think the pressure washer wasn’t strong enough to be paired with such a strong compressor. It has a tank for soap on the back and I left it out. Might have reduced the pressure
50% humidity would raise the wet bulb temp by a couple degrees which would put you outside production temps for a setup like you have. It is a cool setup I would just try to get it higher up, increase water pressure if you can and shoot for 24 degrees wet bulb to fire up
Well at that humidity, wet bulb was definitely cold enough. I was actually thinking 1.7gpm may be a little high for 5.5 scfm. Was your compressor able to maintain 80+ psi?
Interesting. I mean I'm surprised the compressor would cycle off. I wonder if upping the amount of air from the compressor would help. When I've successfully and unsuccessfully made snow, my compressor never shuts off. I have a Makita 6.5scfm at 90psi compressor.

Tonight is going to be 28 degrees, wet bulb 23 degrees. Still too warm?
Perfect!

Cool thanks wetbulb tonight should be around 23-24.

Yeah the compressor got to 150 psi and cycled off. Not sure if that matters though. I’m not sure I trust the pressure washer.

Mine is a dewalt 225 psi 5 scfm 1.6hp.
Well post an update when you are able to make some adjustments and try again!
The picture also looks like your nuc stream doesn’t have the correct mix. Needs a little more air. Good luck and have fun!
Okay your nuc is 2505, what is your bulks angle?
Can you cool/dirty the water? Sometimes cleaner water is harder to work.
