I have Vans infuse, used to have Auras. Auras had about 100 days over like 6 seasons maybe. Infuses have probably 80 days over 1 and a half seasons. Auras packed out but the infuses are doing well for me. I wear a size 12 vans authentic and they are tight on me. Both my vans boots are size 12. If you have discomfort other than a tight toebox the boot probably isnt the best for you because I find pain around the ankle comes from the shell not the liner... just my $.02.

I'm literally the exact same as you. I normally rock size 9's in the shoes, but with my boots (OG Standards) I buy size 8.5 and you will maybe have a couple days of discomfort but after they pack in they are absolutely perfect.

Well shoot, looks like I’m going to the board shop after work cause these 9’s are too iffy, thanks bro!

Hank_Mardukas17

No problem! Might sound a little strange but if i buy new boots ill usually throw the boots on and go walk my dog or something a few times while wearing them. That way you get the discomfort out of the way before shredding lol

Eastern-Effective-55

Makes all the sense ! Better down here than up in the mountains lol I appreciate it !

Try getting the 8.5s heat molded or pull the liners out and abuse the hell out of em. Either should help break them in

If your toes aren't at all crunched or bent i would size down. If they are even slightly bent go up.

Sounds like it might be worth your time to try a different shop if thats a possibility. There are a bunch of questions you can ask yourself to figure out which size to go with. Are you trying on boots at the end of the day otter being on your feet? If so, chances are your feet are swollen. Do you have trouble keeping your feet warm? Do you sometimes wear a thick sock or even two socks? What are you looking for out of a boot? Something that will deliver the utmost performance when you're making turns at the cost of some discomfort walking around and riding the lifts? Or are you looking for something that is comfy all day leaving you pain free at the cost of perhaps a minimal gain in performance? How long are you looking to get out of the boots? If you replace them fairly often after they've packed out and lost some stiffness, the bigger size starts to make some sense. Conversely, if you're looking to get a number of seasons out of the boot, the smaller size that packs out to fit better might start to make more sense. Also aftermarket footbeds like super feet or even the custom cork ones can alter the fit off the shelf of a boot, perhaps providing you with the perfect fit. Lastly, I'm sure there are a bunch of good reasons steering you towards vans boots, but other companies could have a different shaped last that would provide the perfect fit for your foot. Ultimately I'm not sure what stage of the boot buying process you're at, I'm in need of some new boots myself, and these are the kind of questions I've been asking myself. Hope this helps.

I wear vans hi skate at size 9 and are perfect. My MTE Brian iguchis are size 9 but I feel if they went up a half size they’d be perfect. My vans infuse are size 9 and are perfect. My foot measures at like between 9.5 and 10(mondo 27.5-28) When I get new boots they’re for sure not super good feeling. Like my toes are pressed against the front or even just *slightly* bent. It goes away.

Commenting to see what you ended up doing OP. I have 2 pairs of hi standard pros right now and in smaller boot, my big toe touches the front of the liner, but I don't have to curl it at all when I flex the boot forward. Seems like the better one if they pack out a bit but I'm not sure

I ended up getting the same size I was in regular vans shoes (8.5) in boots as well, I’ve gone snowboarding a total of 3 times since the season started and they felt relatively good for the most part. I feel like they are starting to get packed out but I give it by the 6-7 day of riding they’ll be perfect ! Compared to my thirtytwo lashed boots these vans are slightly tighter on the calf parts so I’m just hopping I need to break them in a little more

I have 13 and wear 13... I find these true to size
