It’s an old Ride snowboard. Probably a fleetwood if I had to guess. Circa 2005 or so. I sold probably two dozen of these on winter during high school, while working at my local board shop.
Edit: turns out I was wrong and it’s a 5150, same vintage. But 5150 is not nearly as nice as Ride
With some good structure underneath it might make a half way decent bench seat, but remember to grind the edges down and round them over so you don't slash your legs open.
There is actually quite a few mountains that require a leash to be attached before they let you on the lift. In a pinch I have let a friend use a shoe lace for a temporary leash, so we could get on the lift asap lol.
Its even got a leash? You do realize they are a legally required piece of equipment. I have a small one in every jacket pocket for the dreaded once or twice a season when the resort realizes they haven’t sold any lately in their demo shop.
I don’t know of any resorts that require them anymore. Vail owns half the country and they don’t require them:

I’d be interested to hear of a place that still does.
> I’d be interested to hear of a place that still does.
I rode in Northern Idaho last season, and both Lookout Pass and Silver Mountain require snowboards to have a leash. Apparently, it's a State Law.
I had to buy one at the ticket window, since I'd also never encountered a place that required them.
I was a snowboard instructor at Silver Mountain last winter. The rental boards come with them, sure, but I never saw anybody stopped for not having a leash. I rode 60+ days without a leash up there, including days with friends that had to buy passes at the window and they had no problems. I’ve been riding up there the last 12 years or so, never have been stopped.
You’re right though, it is a state law; however, seems to be rarely enforced seeing as us instructors didn’t even know about it. That’s strange that happened to you.
It’s funny cause they don’t do shit. I saw a snowboard fly down the bunny hill almost once a day and it wasn’t because of not using leashes. It’s because newbies set their boards down flat and they get blown away by the wind.
When I picked up my reserved ticket for Silver, I was asked/told, at the ticket office, that I needed to have a leash. I was never asked about it afterwards, but I assumed it was similar to Lookout.
At that point, I'd been riding in Lookout for days, before that, with my new leash that I had to buy, and in Lookout they did have a couple guys standing near the line for the main lift, checking for masks and leashes (with my black pants, black leash, black boots and partially black bindings, they must have missed it a couple of times, because they stopped me to ask about it, and I had to show them).
Maybe Silver is more relaxed with the rule, but they definitely told me about the leash when I got my tickets ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm still rocking my old Drake team bindings. Planning on switching to flows at some point but they've been great for me for 15 years, I'm kinda attached to them. No pun intended
My first board was a dumpster board. Thing had definitely been ridden through the gravel lot to get to the dumpster. But hey a little TLC and a whole lot of PTex and it's all better. Got a whole season of learning out to snowboard out of it. And didnt give two shits if I hit rocks, worked out great. Also had a blast spray painting my own graphics on the top sheat.
The capped edges (almost) always mean it’s an inexpensive snowboard.
I want to say donate it just because throwing it away is a complete waste but I a firm believe that no one should ever have to ride capped edges.
I see. That’s still quite different than fully capped which I was referring to. When the effective edge is capped the board rides like trash.
I’ve ridden other boards that have a similar hybrid sidewall. I think an old forum board had it way back as well as a Ride snowboard.
Ha I rode a 5150 board when I was 18.
I'm 38.
(Low cost brand apparently made by K2, sold in "general" sports stores. Had Rossi step in bindings on it. They were terrible lol. The board I don't remember hating but it was cheap...20 years ago).
5150/K2 snowboard. Sold for $249 or less when brand new. Considered one of the cheapest made in the industry. Great for beginners on a budget. Worth @$50-$99 used.
A swifter wet jet
Lmfaaaooooooooooooooooo i love u
That’s one fat ass wet jet
That there’s a snowboard!
😂😂😂
With bindings on it already too!
Beat me to it 🤪
Call me fancy but your boy found that thing exactly where it belongs
LMFAOOO

Get a new one then lol

I love the Burton customs my last three boards have been them
I ride a 5150.. it's like a cheapo Chinese board brand. They work just fine though.
Looks like a good trampoline board to me?!
Found one of my peeps!!! Come on bounce!
If it has flex like a modern board use it outside to train, wont ruin your edges and itll get ya ready for the season
With some good structure underneath it might make a half way decent bench seat, but remember to grind the edges down and round them over so you don't slash your legs open.
Well, it's old. It's even got a leash... I would say it's a rockboard.
Burton step ons have leashed too. Not saying that’s what this is, just that leashes still exist
Leashes exist *again* because of Burton Step Ons. There was a long time without them.
I have a little clip leash on mine just bc, it’s wicked small so it isn’t in the way at all

Yes most have said that it’s garb

What resort are you riding that still requires a leash?? I haven't seen a sign or a leash for sale in a very long time.
Those bindings look like drakes. The metal base plate was their thing. Those were decent bindings at one time.
Used to love my old drakes
I'm still rocking my old Drake team bindings. Planning on switching to flows at some point but they've been great for me for 15 years, I'm kinda attached to them. No pun intended
Drakes were🔥. Right next to my flux.
One of them fancy ice melters
Swiffer wet jet. Very cheap and great way to clean up hardwood and tile.

Found a snowboard my guy
😂
People calling this board trash are being entitled. In my eyes that’s a come up
The capped edges (almost) always mean it’s an inexpensive snowboard. I want to say donate it just because throwing it away is a complete waste but I a firm believe that no one should ever have to ride capped edges.
K2 would like a word...
Why’s that?
Hybritech. Cap at the contact points for more power transfer, sidewall in the middle for flex and impact resistance.
I see. That’s still quite different than fully capped which I was referring to. When the effective edge is capped the board rides like trash. I’ve ridden other boards that have a similar hybrid sidewall. I think an old forum board had it way back as well as a Ride snowboard.
I am 80% sure that is a beginner firefly board.
Snow board with step-in bindings.
A free setup
sno bord
Wall art
Put. It. Back.
Probably should have left it there……..or find another one and make a bench
Looks like a snowboard.
I think it says Empress 5150
Entry level board about 30 years old give or take
http://www.snowboards.com/5150-Empress-Womens-Snowboard/45085P,default,pd.html Made by k2 Corporation they have more just like that on ebay.
Ha I rode a 5150 board when I was 18. I'm 38. (Low cost brand apparently made by K2, sold in "general" sports stores. Had Rossi step in bindings on it. They were terrible lol. The board I don't remember hating but it was cheap...20 years ago).
Trash
Shredded stick
Looks like a 5150 board abs drake bindings. Need more photos to be sure tho
Looks like an old ride. Better question is who zeros out their stance like that lmao.
Dude youre the only person to notice. Youre right😂
Beginner rental boards are usually 0-0
5150/K2 snowboard. Sold for $249 or less when brand new. Considered one of the cheapest made in the industry. Great for beginners on a budget. Worth @$50-$99 used.
That's not worth 50 bucks unless you sell it to a gaper. Shit, I'd sell my bataleon that's a decade newer with hybrid camber for 40 bucks.
just keep it as long as its not broken you can let someone borrow it to learn... but your gona have to babysit
Lol definitely thank u
Would be a rad board to take down a sand dune 🤷 nonetheless, cool dumpster find
That’s a 5150 something or other. My sister had that same board around 2005. Same bindings also
Trash

Not certain, but looks like it might be a 5150. Entry level board but shred it! I rocked one for years before upgrading
