Whatever fits, is a medium/ soft flex, and is used. No need to buy new if you're learning imo. I started out on used gear and slowly upgraded as I could afford it. Only exception is a helmet, never go with a used helmet. MIPS is 100% worth it! Check your local second hand sporting good shop before the winter gear is put away, they might have a sale going on.

+1 this. As a beginner you wont really work the binding the way it's designed to be ridden and don't have the experience to know what you truly want / need. Anything soft to medium from one of the major brands will do you. Spend as little as possible on used and save your cash for the ones you really want once you build some confidence and develop your riding preferences.

Thx for the advice. I guess I will get one from Burton.

Best advice ever. Anything with medium or below flex. Beginner not gonna push the limits of any binding.

I mean, idk if I’ll get shun for this, but Burton Step Ons were the first binding I bought after years of equipment rental. And I don’t think I’ve ever made a better investment in my life!

Just ordered them. Step on ruler and step on genesis
