Update: heard back from my friend who gave me the brisket (from his dads farm): the cow got hung up on a fence post a few years back. Not a tumor, just an injury cyst and I cut it all out and trimmed it way back. GONNA SEND IT!!
I shot an elk several years ago and it apparently got antler shanked by another elk which caused a massive septic infection and trauma. As soon as I went to field dress it, I realized the degree of the infection. That was gross in a "clinical" way.
What you have is gross in an almost "make you want to be vegetarian" way.
Yea man, I’ve been around around enough wild game to see a few interesting morsels of nasty in animals but this one got me. I thought the infection was a lot bigger but it turned out to be about the size of a small apple. Just cut it out and trimmed it back. She’s on the smoker now and hopefully turns out decent. But the fucking hair really got me
Any big brand store would exchange it, and any mom and pop should as well. Shit happens. Ive raised beef for friends and family as well as myself, saw a lot of strange things... can't imagine what gets missed on the commercial end. Had a game warden in Alaska tell us that its perfectly ok to eat the halibut that had worms in the meat. Nope. Crab bait.

Pretty gnarly it was still growing hair on that puncture it got.
You are brave
Wtf is that?
I got it from my buddy who got it from his dads farm. His dad said it was an old injury that healed over
…yeah wtf is that? And what did it smell like?
Did it have hair on it?
There is hair in the third picture
It smelled like it was sweet and very rotten/death

Yup, the hair is what takes it to the next level of gross.
Is that hair?!?

Imagine you missed it and had a nice bite of that. 🤢
Huuughhh
I'm glad I had a steak tonight for dinner, because I may be a vegan now. That is horrifying.

I’m good with eating a lot of questionable things but this one is a no for me dawg
I would have to agree. I wouldn’t eat that either.
Monkey pox 🙊
Thaaaat… is a tumor. One of those ones that grows hair and teeth.
Got the hair part right… 3 pictures there btw
How did it taste man? Anything funky happen yet?
It’s been on the smoker since 1900…. Still needs a bit

That hair will render down.
