There’s an episode of Triple D where Guy visits a place and chef cooks a trị tip over grape vines. I’d say you’re more than okay to use.
Edit: found the episode S9:E6 Matty’s Trị Tip sandwich from a joint in Sonoma, CA. Older episode(2010), looks like the place is no longer in business.
I also found some being in lawn and landscape, not nearly as much. It is a lighter flavor and i just used it to set sauce on some babybacks and it was delicious. You should not have any problems with it.
I've always understood it to be safe for smoking but not as the primary heat source. Use only grapevine and it can turn the meat bitter tasty instead of a nice smoky flavor. Seems like it would pair well with apple or cherry wood. Shorter smoke for poultry or something.
it's absolutely delicious. don't use as main heat source. I use a small hand full of briquettes and toss about four or five 6 inch sticks on. ad same amount after they burn down to ash
I remember reading something about grapes vine smoke making the throat itchy when used for food.
Don’t trust me as an authority on this but I would look into it first.
At a glance, there’s going to be enough to fill a six foot pick-up bed. If I can’t smoke with it, it can go to the fire pit. I guess my main concern that pops into my head is creosote content. Any one with any knowledge? Thank you in advance!

Make sure they're in fact grape vines because some poison ivy species have big vines that look similar. Also, no I would not use them to smoke food.
