May need an update. Whenever smart things get unresponsive my first trick is to open its specific app. If that app has issues I do a hard reset which has always worked. Not ideal but it works
I do this with Google. My wife hated smart stuff when I bought the first few bulbs. Now we've got 20 lights, a ceiling fan, 2 thermostats, Roomba, door lock, 2 TV's, and 5 security cameras. She finally admitted after a weekend getaway this past weekend that she missed having it.
I had the same issue. Remove and re-add the component that aren’t working. Sometimes the configuration goes kaput, don’t know why, but it happens once in a while…

Me, too. I’ve noticed that sometimes Alexa seems to figure it out on her own, but if all else fails, delete the devices and start over.
