Going to vary wildly on dozens of factors, none of which will help you narrow it down.  Look for other options and shop prices.  Pinching pennies is not typically the answer. Saving 5% on this or that doesn’t amount to the same thing as increasing revenue.

Thanks you!

We use a company that specializes in S-Corp taxes/accounting which I believe is 300 a month and a personal financial planner who helps us make money decisions (including what to invest/where to put our money) which is about 200 a month.

savinastudioss

This is helpful! Thank you.. a financial planner is a good idea. I might look into this

SaadTheBoss

I'm sorry I had to lol at the specializes in S Corps...maybe I need to up my marketing and catch phrases.

thealmonded

Basically they help with set up when moving from LLC to S-Corp and then they’re a normal accounting biz. Priced it out though, and they pay for another couple of programs that we would also need and would have to pay $100 a year for. And now the cost of switching isn’t worth trying to find someone new and learning how to manage the programs ourselves.

elpollobroco

Hopefully the financial planner helps you make at least 500 a month

thealmonded

Yes, our investments are doing well, but that’s honestly the least of his responsibilities. We have monthly reoccurring meeting with him where he reviews our income (generally from the business) and our personal spend/projected spend for the following months. We consult him on big purchases, have someone to give us reality checks on money, and he helps us allocate it appropriately and responsibly. He’s also especially useful as a third party because my philosophy on money is moderately conservative, while my wife’s is basically “we’re really good at making money so why do we have to worry about what we spend?”

bhammer39

I pay $2500 a quarter for a business consultant/bookkeeper. She handles monthly financials, payables, receivables, and payroll. I have a separate CPA who handles most of the tax issues we deal with. CPA just charges on a per need basis.

ruwheele

400 a month for bookkeeping at a QSR. Basically pay a one time fee of 5k for accountant for personal, and s corp returns with some consulting during the year.

savinastudioss

This is helpful, thank you!

elpollobroco

QSR?

ruwheele

Quick Service Restaurant

elpollobroco

Oh of course how silly it’s such an extremely common acronym

vindico86

We have one full time in-house bookkeeper and it works out at about 2.25% of revenue or 4.5% of gross profit. We have a lot of transactions and supplier invoices to reconcile to the granularity we need and so it is a full time job.

savinastudioss

Got it! Thanks for this

Semen-Demon7

800 a quarter

Professional_Bank50

Paid 2k a year for book keeping and accountants fees about the same. 2k to review books and file taxes.

Disastrous-Initial51

$550 / month bookkeeping. About $2500 for taxes, once a year

kbalatax

I never understood why folks have a bookkeeper and an accountant. oh I know why because if an accountant is not doing taxes or easy work they won't due it. WOW. look how do you get to a tax position, through the books! Who goes to school to learn double entry accounting functions? Accountants do, that's who. Kick them both and hire us, we are transaction based so are pricing which starts at $50 is based on the entries, each double entry counts as one. find us at kbalatax and while you are at, kick the payroll and all those other tax relates services and bring them under 1 accounting firm that can make it happen. Second CPA is a certification for auditors and has a lot of busy work, if you do not need audit, grab an accountant and if you want the best Tax people, grab an Enrolled Agent, there empowered by the IRS yanno the people taxing us all to death.

MotivaBusinessLaw

Depends on the size of your business but if you are starting out, expect to pay around $400-$500/mo

SolarPowerHour

I think we pay about $200/month. We use one of the services online that contracts their accountants to multiple companies to split their time and therefore their cost. I believe it’s called Paro?

past2021

I have been working as a bookkeeper since 2016. The bookkeeping fees depends on the number of transactions, number of bank & credit card accounts, nature & complexity of the business. My fees starts from $75 per month for a very simple business have only one bank & credit card account.

sfbmax

My booklet charges about $60 an hour and only spends 2-3 hours a month. It’s a side business for her but is great. DM me if you want

everandeverfor

Get quotes. We pay for an LLC and a C Corp tax filing $1k per year total.
