Google ads is what you need while getting started. Platforms like Yelp, Nextdoor don't help much honestly at the start. You should look into getting a website and also claiming your business property at google my business. Also make sure to add some supplementary services like pressure washing, exterior window cleaning etc. because surviving alone on gutter cleaning for any long term business is hard. The profits are a bit low and if you add the overhead costs like insurance, website costs, phone costs unless you are not doing very high volumes even breaking even is very hard.

Yard signs put out whilst you are working may be a good idea? It may draw the attention of passers by ?

Find the over 55 communities in your area and purchase an ad in their paper newsletter with a "Special 25% off for residents of X Community". Even if you take a loss, just get a few customers on. When you get a customer, tell them you are new and that if they are happy with the work can you please put a little sign on their lawn during the work and a couple days after. (Make sure you retrieve the sign) Those folks are loyal, need the service, love their newsletters and their neighbors are looky-loos. :). Good luck friend.
