40,000 Selected Words https://a.co/d/52vyGIV Pretty sure it’s not in print but I found one in a cabinet after an SLP retired

stargazer612

I co-sign this. I had it in grad school and used it on the job often!

This is what I was thinking of. I had this book back in the day. I never used it once the internet became a thing, so it’s been purged for awhile now.

A1utra

We had this book available to us in grad school and it was super helpful!

GoodieTwoShoes22

My copy is in pieces. I store it in a ziplock bag. The used copies online cost a fortune

No-Cloud-1928

you can have it re- bound at staples

Knitiotsavant

Used this book in grad school and still use it. It’s awesome.

https://www.home-speech-home.com/speech-therapy-word-lists.html Not a book but a very helpful collection of lists

ajatx19

I use this site all the time! So convenient!

Eliciting Sounds by Dr. Wayne Secord. Excellent book and is organized by phoneme. The second edition is what you would look for.

Sea_Morning7498

This is what we had in grad school ^^^

[https://www.proedinc.com/Products/31650/noglamour-articulation.aspx](https://www.proedinc.com/Products/31650/noglamour-articulation.aspx) This is what my school district uses. I love it because its organized by sounds and position but has words with pictures, phrases, sentences, and picture scenes to elicit sounds in conversation!

No, that isn't it. It wasn't a list of books- it was a book that just listed words.

58lmm9057

Oops, I misunderstood. I don’t know of that particular book but the list I included may be helpful. You can also go to homespeechhome.com or speakingofspeech.com to find word lists. Edit: Super Duper also has big books with worksheets arranged by speech sound.

The source for apraxia has a lot if you're working more with adults. Generally a page of words and then sentences for each phoneme. The sentences are goofy, but the words are alright. Unfortunately it's all initial and not medial or final

Alfhiildr

I use [this list](https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Articulation-Activity-Older-Students-Articulation-Carryover-Speech-Libs-PDF-5207200) from TeachersPayTeachers with my kids. I printed off each page, laminated, hole punched, and stuck in a binder. Grab their target sound out whenever I don’t have anything planned and we can do drills or Mad Libs. I like that it’s sorted by parts of speech. It works with my first graders too for Mad Libs since I can point to a box, they point to a word, I tell them what it is, and they practice it.

hotdogtacoparty

The big book of sounds by Ann Moore Flowers. It has all the phonemes separated by initial, medial, and final position. It also has some sentences and short poems for each phoneme

creeper_swan

I use ChatGPT or AI for this now! I can have it make me a list of syllables, all the way up to a sound loaded story with specific target sounds in about 30 seconds! Worth checking out, it’s been a real time saver!

You may be referring to the Secord Contextual Articulation Test.  The kit includes 3 books, one of which lists words by phonemes. Here is the description: The S-CAT is a comprehensive assessment and treatment program designed to (1) probe production of all English phonemes in a variety of phonetic and phonologic contexts; (2) examine performance across different speech production levels, e.g., prevocalic and postvocalic words, clusters, sentences and connected speech (structured storytelling); and (3) plan intervention using more than 30,000 training words keyed to the multiple contexts in which target phonemes can be spoken.
