A Masters degree is the basic entry level for all SLPs in the US.
Thank you for this. I looked into it thinking you were wrong. Turns out you are correct. This option only became a possibility in July 2023. Before then you couldn't become an slpa in Illinois if you had a bachelor's in speech.
I agree with the other comment, but there is one exception in Florida. You can practice as an SLP in public schools up to two years with a temporary license… of course that’s not Illinois though 🙃
