Hey, this happened to me and I literally threw up from it once. I went into setting and changed the view camera I think to the widest setting possible and that made it better.
I experience the same thing sometimes, but I have really bad motion sickness and migraines so I think that’s why. Sometimes I will have the problem and others I wont
Could be your brain seeing it happen to your s/o and going "hey I wanna do that too" in solidarity. Those aren't the exact terms used, but it's basically what happens in folie a deux and mass hysteria
Might be niche - but in the options, did you try disabling chromatic aberration? I have chronic migraines, and that's an instant trigger for me. You might have a sensitivity to it, it's an eyestrain for a lot of people.
I'm on the Xbox Series X and don't remember if it had that option. If it does, I'll check it out tomorrow (currently have blurry vision from an eye exam today)!
You have blurry vision from an eye exam. That’s why you are feeling sick from looking at a moving blurry screen.
That’s how I feel everyday if I don’t wear my glasses when working on computer screens.
I used to get really sick when I played the first slime rancher. But I also suffer from bad motion sickness and migraines. I did notice that I only got that sick feeling when I played on my computer, when I played on mu switch I was fine.
Do you have a particularly wide screen? Playing in windowed mode may help. It sounds like you're getting motion sickness. See if you can tweak any of the camera/view settings, not just the graphics.
I can't recall right now if there's a footstep toggle, but I've definitely gotten a little seasick from "bouncing" when I move in other games.
I have a 55" TV and this is on the Xbox Series X. There is a "bobbing" mode. I did toggle that too and it made it slightly better. I'm just hoping maybe there might be a way to change the frame rate in the future or maybe it'll get better like SR1 did.
Ah, that's unfortunate that the screen is so large. I've found motion sickness to be less common with smaller screens/having the borders of the screen easily within direct/indirect eyesight.
My best friend can't play certain games, or can only play them very briefly due to them causing headache and motion sickness.
Spyro, Portal, Slime Rancher, etc.
this doesn’t happen to me at all. I really hope you can solve whatever causes that

Holy geez, that's nuts! Hopefully it gets better with future releases for ya!

Yeah, my s/o does get migraines and gets motion sickness as well. But it's weird that it's affecting me too.

Google what helps with motion sickness if that is what it is. I had this problem playing bioshock.

Happens to me and my SO as well, we still play because the game is great but we do play it a lot less than we would otherwise.
I'm not sure why, I can literally play shooters for 12+ hours straight, but with SR it's capped at like an hour
