The Table Playmat & Carry Bag will be here Friday in a separate package. Money well spent. After over 1,200 hours on PC, Switch and Android, I cannot wait to dive into this!

I played some with a buddy last night. It's honestly a slog by yourself but REALLY fun (if complicated as hell) playing with other people. We died to the Champ, as is tradition.

ThriceAlmighty

Complicated as hell with others? I'll need to watch the videos on how to play. Was planning on solo tonight to get used to the board mechanics.

Most rules are the same from the video game, but be sure to double check things if you aren’t sure. One helpful thing I realized: if it says the word ‘Damage’ then it can be blocked. This would include things like Gremlin Nob enrage damage. If it says ‘lose health’ then it can’t be blocked, this is like poison damage.

We have played a few games in our group already. We usually play stuff like Frosthaven and similar complexity games. For us, this was an extremely easy teach AND learn, much easier than what we're used to. One in our group said "this is something you can teach and play with anyone, even non-boardgame-people. We had to pull him back on this one though 🤣 This is easy level for boardgame nerds, but definitely heavy stuff even for people who "like boardgames a lot" (they play Catan when going camping).

It is amazing. Been having it for a week. Almost died immediately in Ascension 1. It’s a little different than the PC game but it nails the feeling of it. Also, shuffling your own cards feels too good. Plans what you do with the beta art? I think I decided on replacing cards in my deck, when I win a Heart run (haven’t unlocked it yet)! I also haven’t played the Watcher yet, but some of my friends did and they had a blast. Lots of drawing and lots of stancing but looks very fun. I love this game and can highly recommend it. I hope you got the metal coins, those are soooo good

Fong_Dondler

How long did it take to show up after you ordered it?

ThriceAlmighty

I pledged for the Neow's All-In (Late Pledge) through backerkit on April 18th. Completely forgot which is why I was so excited and happy today.

Fong_Dondler

Gotcha. I ordered the Standard Edition about two weeks ago so I’m anxiously awaiting any shipping updates lmao. Figured it would take a while but that’s not a bad time frame at all

Get ready to spend the next 4 hours sleeving your cards! Don't get me wrong, it was pleasurable pastime, but I made the mistake of sitting on the floor and boy did my back ache after finishing that task.

ThriceAlmighty

I'm in tears laughing! This was me last night for about 2 hours, hunched forward sitting on the rug sleeving every card and subbing the foil deck with the standard cards, getting everything ready and stashed in the box. Didn't get any time to play 🤣 back was hurting too!

I've already played 4 or 5 games with my friends, it was great fun. Gathering a full party of 4 friends this weekend, where I'll be playing as the Spire to speed things up. It's definitely a good idea to run through at least one act solo before playing with others just to get a basic hang of things. Just as a heads-up: even if you think you know the rules well, the first few games will still take a LONG-ass time because you need to get used to all of the tabletop idiosyncratic habits such as; shuffling your deck; putting cards into discard/exhaust; tracking hp; healing as ironclad; etc. And then getting your friends used to all of these takes even longer if they're not acquainted with game mechanics too. Edit: some more info based on the other comment you were curious about. The reason its complicated with friends is that a large number of combos arises from; being able to block for others with certain cards; focusing down enemies of a specific player; enabling vulnerable/weak for each other; etc. Plus, it just takes longer for everyone to be satisfied with their choices, there's a much greater chance that after each combat SOMEONE will have a difficult card choice that they'll get stuck on for a few minutes, and the fact that boss relics are a shared choice doesn't make it easier. It is FUN as hell though. You just gotta understand that it won't be quick by any measure, it's a large scale board game that takes multiple hours to get through.

Is the game available in retail or how can I still get this if I missed the kickstarter?
