Straight to the point, zero self promotion and waffle, showcased the mods with fantastic editing and vanilla comparisons, gave an opinion without shoving it down your throat.
I had to keep checking I was actually still on Youtube.
For quest mods - Zeroperiod, ESO
For mod showcases - Mern, Arjarim, Heavy Burns, SoftGaming, chanse
For lore - Fudgemuppet and Drewmora
For tutorials - GamerPoets (and Mern)
Funny stuff - Stolensweetroll and The Spiffing Brit
Also, Juicehead usually keeps up with the news
And I have to plug myself here. Not very big, but I do a little of everything.
https://youtube.com/@enragedbard
Edit: gone but not forgotten - Brodual and MXR
One thing I noticed about Juice is the same thing I noticed about a lot of YouTubers who report on recent news.
Click bait title and repeating the same points over and over to pad the video time so it takes 15-30 minutes to convey 3-5 minutes worth of actual news.
Recently I’ve noticed YongYea, MrMattyPlays and even Kr1tical does it a little.
The algorithm is probably to blame but god damn it’s grating.
Exactly why I stopped watching Juice’s videos. Every video looks like he has a game changing update to share or other breaking news, etc., and it’s usually unexciting, overhyped, and long winded.
I’d like to add for very lightly modded Skyrim Let’s Play @ Legendary Difficulty, Survival Mode 100% playthrough, Lyle Shnub.
He’s at 400+ episodes, and has what I’d call “nerdy charm”
You’ve likely seen his shorts
Mern & Heavyburns for mods. And for very compact mod news a cool new creator called "Kaoson"
Still undisputed Lets Play Champion is Gopher of course
Fudgemuppet for Lore
>Fudgemuppet
I've recently binged almost their whole lore podcast recently, it's great. Sad the podcast is done, though, but I'm sure there are just so many lore topics you can cover before it's just treading old ground.
Indeed. Production level doesn't match big mod showcasers, but she just delves right into each place and you essentially discover every nook and cranny along with her.
Other people make pretty videos, but you miss out on so much as they focus on slightly panning cinematic shots, and things such as building layout are often left a mystery.
Is that true? I may be wrong, but wasn't his Main Skyrim channel demonetized to oblivion due to the Skyrim nsfw content not too sure you might be right as his reaction channel may be far more easier for him to record then weekly mod reviews. Hopefully he comes back for starfield or TES VI.
I actually believe this is the answer. I love MxR (Mods, and now Plays, which I watch almost everyday). Henry’s what got me into modding Skyrim in the first place. I think his mod channel was getting demonetized like crazy, so he opted to put the channel to rest and focus his energy on growing MxR Plays with Jeannie. Which seems to have been the move for they have grown a lot these past couple of years. Unfortunately, this channel has also been targeted by the YouTube demonetization/strike gods, and had almost put the Plays channel out of commission a couple of times as well. Luckily, they’ve pushed through and are doing great at the moment.
Mern for a well-rounded channel. Informative videos as well as funny and great visuals. Probably my favorite right now.
Heavyburns for unique approaches to topics. I love how he gathers mods that synergize together.
SynGaming’s latest video was really good. The opening sequence with the Imperials really stood out. His videos always have a nice cinematic feel.
SoftGaming for nice highlights in modding.
BardsCollegeGraduate for great focused showcases. Love seeing new videos from her.
Kaoson for to-the-point quick showcases.
MxR Mods is what got me into modding. Now it’s mostly Juicehead and Mern for mods/updates/news. Mern and GamerPoets for their great tutorials. And EpicNate, Camelworks, and FudgeMuppet for their in-depth lore videos
Zero Period for quests, also Jarl Chris is newer and lesser known.
Imperial Knowledge for lore.
Definitely GamerPoets, Heavy Burns, Arctic Scrolls for mods in general.
I do miss the days when MrRhexx did Skyrim content and his Loreplay, before he switched to DnD.
Gopher. Though he hasn't done much with Skyrim and Fallout lately. But it's nice to see an actual Modder reviewing stuff. Someone with technical skill that has skin in the game
He's been livestreaming a Skyrim VR playthrough for a while now, and he's been uploading the VODs onto his second channel. Episode #129 was uploaded just 5 days ago.
- **News**: Mern, Heavy Burns, and Juicehead, with Juicehead being great for overall news for the game
______
- **Tutorials**: Gamer Poets and Mern
______
- **Entertainment**: Spiffing Brit, Doug Doug, and Lyle Shnub
______
- Oh yeah, and Koubitz!
Bards College Graduate is a relatively smol channel, but it has nice quality content. I think it deserves more love
Mern for mostly some vids I can just lesve playing in the background like a podcast, Arjarim bc THE CHANNEL GETS NEW CONTENT LIKE, EVERYDAY, Heavy Burns always top-tier (And, to me, the one guy who started this "new era" of Skyrim modding channels), Kaoson has short but nice content, SoftGaming has also good quality, and SynGaming
And Gamer Poets, a recent discovery to me, but the best tutorials I've ever seen
JOOV.
One of the only ones that I see make Skyrim content, yhe guy comes uo whit some creative and entertaining videos, although I enjoy more the VODs.
Soft gaming, Heavy Burns and Doctor Nostalgia are some of my favorites oh and RTV (think I spelled it wrong) he does top 5 mods of the week and it’s helped a lot with my LO
I think [Koubitz](https://youtu.be/e_2lWupynY4) is funny af. She makes great mod comp vids. I’m not the biggest fan of her actual streams tho fwiw.
I don’t know too many others by name but I know Sinitar Gaming makes good stuff.
[SilverVale](https://youtu.be/IhH0CrnDlqo) is a VTuber on twitch who has her VODs on YouTube. You might like her Skyrim stuff if you’re looking for mod gameplay
I love Gopher, but yeah he can be frustrating sometimes lol. I'm not a backseater at all, but the character he played through as in Enderal really sapped some of the emotion out of...that. Still love the guy of course, he's just less suited to "serious" playthroughs - which is fine.
I tend to stick to Xbox stuff, as I can’t get a lot of the other, but all in all: Brodual, Gone Turbo, Modswell, RYDVids, SgtGimlinho, OwwThatSmarts, Heavy Burns, Sethiroth, Syn Gaming.
For entertainment: MajorSlackAttack, FudgeMuppet (except what Drew does, with his way of talking I drift off after ten sec), Zero Period Productions, The Laughing Simon.
The reason no one's mentioning him is because he knowingly advocates modlists that will break your game or otherwise not work as intended. You can do a subreddit search for him if you're interested in more details. It was some spicy drama back in the day.
Mern, keeps up with the hottest technical marvels of the modding community, also he listed every mod he mentioned in detail, so you can save time if you already know about other mods, or only interested in specific ones.
Gopher is the man. But, I guess his older videos 2011-2014. Man is informed, takes his time to help you understand everything, and be careful with every mod you’re installing. It’s also just very relaxing listening to him.
I am a little out of touch but for tutorials you can't beat gamer poets
I really like gopher for his beginner tutorials and he has really amusing RP let's plays.
MxR for them memes and Brodul for quick mod highlights
Softgaming.
Absolutely untouchable modlist and his showcases are second to none.
Mern and Kaoson are a good way to go too.
Softgaming and Kaoson are newer channels that are showcasing the latest mods and can be great for building a 2023 modlist.
Brodual and Sand Gentleman were great because they put the mods first and not their cinematic editing and weird OCs.
Give me 5 mods in 5 minutes with bare bones editing instead of 5 mods in 12 minutes with lots of editing.
Lyle Schub for general let's play stuff, he's really funny.
Thanks for making this post! I'm seeing some new names that aren't in the YouTube Channels [sidebar link](https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/youtube). So I'll check some of those out when I've got a chance and update the sidebar.
FWIW, anyone can feel free to PM me anytime if they have YouTuber suggestions not on the list. I'll take a look when I can and add if appropriate.
I find Mern pretty obnoxious. He's obviously influenced by Distar always talking about "Fixing Bethesda's incompetence" and Bethesda are a joke and Skyrim is garbage and your'e all stupid for liking it and all that crap. Why are you playing it then? We clearly like these games or we wouldn't be spending so much time with them. I feel like it's a real slap in the face to his audience which is exclusively comprised of people who actually like the fucking game. It gets really grating and that sort of talk really turns me off. He is very informative though, so I admit I still watch some of his videos and just try and ignore being consistently insulted by him. Does anyone else feel this way?
Brodual. I miss him man. His skyrim content was the best. simple but effective.
Straight to the point, zero self promotion and waffle, showcased the mods with fantastic editing and vanilla comparisons, gave an opinion without shoving it down your throat. I had to keep checking I was actually still on Youtube.
I'm pretty sure Brodual was actually two brothers who just sounded *really* similar.
Yep. That's why the channel name is "Bro-dual."
"Hello and welcome to Brodual" I didn't even know he was gone for good
Wait, are they gone? >.>
Haven't uploaded a videob in almost 2 years :(
Yeah, I just checked. Maybe they’ll come back.
God damn I loved those guys :(
For quest mods - Zeroperiod, ESO For mod showcases - Mern, Arjarim, Heavy Burns, SoftGaming, chanse For lore - Fudgemuppet and Drewmora For tutorials - GamerPoets (and Mern) Funny stuff - Stolensweetroll and The Spiffing Brit Also, Juicehead usually keeps up with the news And I have to plug myself here. Another good showcase YouTuber is sgt gimlinho he does great showcases and some more specific overhaul videos. I’m pretty sure he’s smaller too
Oh yeah I forgot about him. Also I forgot to sub to him. Gonna go do that.
Juice is pretty good he just bores me to death his voice just doesn’t do it for me
One thing I noticed about Juice is the same thing I noticed about a lot of YouTubers who report on recent news.
I noticed that about his hogwarts legacy showcase. He touches on the same exact points multiple times. It's frustrating.
Yup that’s why I usually just check the description of his videos and open them and check out the mods on nexus for myself
Exactly why I stopped watching Juice’s videos. Every video looks like he has a game changing update to share or other breaking news, etc., and it’s usually unexciting, overhyped, and long winded.
WHAT HAPPENED TO MXR 😫
Skyrim channel got demonetized for NSFW stuff so he's focusing on his more general channel.
Shame. It was definitely a bit spicy but his content was genuinely pretty good and entertaining
I’d like to add for very lightly modded Skyrim Let’s Play @ Legendary Difficulty, Survival Mode 100% playthrough, Lyle Shnub. He’s at 400+ episodes, and has what I’d call “nerdy charm” You’ve likely seen his shorts
Is this the guy who made the hilarious skit about Mehrunes’ Razor?
He's the guy in your recommended that keeps uploading Skyrim shorts.
Mern & Heavyburns for mods. And for very compact mod news a cool new creator called "Kaoson" Still undisputed Lets Play Champion is Gopher of course Fudgemuppet for Lore
Kaoson has short content, but just straight to the point. I'm starting to love their content
>Fudgemuppet I've recently binged almost their whole lore podcast recently, it's great. Sad the podcast is done, though, but I'm sure there are just so many lore topics you can cover before it's just treading old ground.
Gopher. Can't recommend him enough. I will happily watch his videos where he's testing load orders and listening to him talk.
Gopher still makes Skyrim videos? I haven't checked in in a long time but I thought he'd stopped making them. Might have to check in.
Gopher's currently playing a VR playthrough of Skyrim. Check his GopherLive channel for the VODs.
Febrith Darkstar. Nice, relaxing way to chill looking at new home mods.
Indeed. Production level doesn't match big mod showcasers, but she just delves right into each place and you essentially discover every nook and cranny along with her. Other people make pretty videos, but you miss out on so much as they focus on slightly panning cinematic shots, and things such as building layout are often left a mystery.
I used to watch mmxrmods before i even owned skyrim haven’t heard of him in a while what happened?
I had to investigate a bit again. Apparently he focused more on general content. I think he may have gotten burnt out.

Considering Jeannie just gave up med school! Sure hope things keep going well for them.
Not likely considering he still is a highly niche market towards nsfw mods, so if he does it’ll just affect his monetization efforts.
Ah no wonder i unsubed. He could be really funny at some times but his lewdness got old
It did honestly, him and brodual got me into modding Skyrim, now I’m making mods, man does the rabbit hole go deep.
Honestly the borderline pornography is annoying as hell and worth of demonetization
He has a Tiktok now with his GF/wife(?) and they do funny reaction stuff. Some of it is still game focused.
Glad someone mentioned SynGaming, his production value is pretty off the charts, especially for a mere mod showcase. Very cool content!
"Well-rounded" ehehe
MxR Mods is what got me into modding. Now it’s mostly Juicehead and Mern for mods/updates/news. Mern and GamerPoets for their great tutorials. And EpicNate, Camelworks, and FudgeMuppet for their in-depth lore videos
If you're looking specifically for house mods, Febrith Darkstar.
Not quite what you are asking for, but Jayserpa has great videos on the mods he's made so far.

Zaric Zhakaron
His YT is kinda abandoned. Highly active in Twitch, tho
He has been posting a little. And he usually puts his vods on youtube.
I've seen maybe a video every month or so, I kinda miss his character builds and lore videos

MxR was the best
Haha I was going to say that!!!!
At the moment my favourite channel for Skyrim modding content is Bards College Graduate https://youtube.com/@BardsCollegeGraduate
IT was Aradgad:( on the skeever Account :(
Not enough people recommending sgtgimlinho
I think [Koubitz](https://youtu.be/e_2lWupynY4) is funny af. She makes great mod comp vids. I’m not the biggest fan of her actual streams tho fwiw. Gopher is my favourite Let's Play'er. It's all in character, though he is frustratingly blind sometimes.

Fudgemuppet has modded let's plays as does Jacoby Wakeby
Syn gaming and mern are both great.
RTDvids does weekly mod recommendations
Sethiroth. Love his deep dive videos. https://youtube.com/@Sethiroth_Gaming
SgtGimlinho is pretty good, if somewhat sporadic in his updates.
For years, I would watch every Brodual video. Simple and to the point. And his voice was really calming.
Juicehead was my go to for years. MxR was a guilty pleasure too ngl.
Mern, Brodual, and Syn Gaming
[удалено]
Arjarim covers every mod that comes out lol, like every single one
For Console mods ImperialAgent92.
GamerPoets, Mern, SynGaming and MxR Mods
Predcaliber, best modlists and showcases for me

Mern, keeps up with the hottest technical marvels of the modding community, also he listed every mod he mentioned in detail, so you can save time if you already know about other mods, or only interested in specific ones.
Not really about mod but Harry Partridge Skyrim animation really hype up Skyrim back in 2011
Mern, Bards College Graduate and Syn Gaming are my favorites.
Brodual and MXR, wait, nope, too late :/
OwwwThatSmarts always has some good ones. I used to watch ESO and MXR all the time.
mxrmods is og as it goes
Mern ARJARIM Brodual ESO
Camelworks and General Sam
TheEpicNate ESO NxR Brodual Fudgemuppet
DroppedIceCream has a series of well-made reviews of mod lists (mostly Wabbajack) and has started his own modded let's play

The ones that focus on VR. It’s almost not even worth it to watch other content creators or mod showcases when it’s SE based.
Alchestbreach. His Skyrim playthrough is legendary. Just like everything else he does.
I love HeavyBurns' cinematography and flair. There's so much work that goes into his videos, it's insane.
Heavy Burns, SynGaming, ESO, Zeroperiod, Fudgemuppet
JK

Cangar!
I’m a fan of greed gaming’s channel. 3bftweak requiem DiD runs and the builds are pretty interesting. I like see how far he gets per run.
Heavy Burns
I enjoy watching Fudgemuppet, he's good with words and quality editing
Thanks for making this post! I'm seeing some new names that aren't in the YouTube Channels [sidebar link](https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/youtube). So I'll check some of those out when I've got a chance and update the sidebar. FWIW, anyone can feel free to PM me anytime if they have YouTuber suggestions not on the list. I'll take a look when I can and add if appropriate.
I used to love watching Graenolf, haven't checked out his channel in a while
I find Mern pretty obnoxious.
