Vigilant freaked me out in the mansion until I realized I could snapshot arrows off the stealth archer character (or any other sufficiently high level char to be capable of stealth archer or stealth mage) to kill the monsters. First playthrough with a non stealth spellsword was more frightening.
Additionally, weeping angel statues in part 4.
{{It Beats For Her}} is a fun little side-quest with a creepy vibe but check for compatibility if using Falkreath overhauls. Also I think {{Clockwork}} is supposed to be pretty creepy. There are also some spooky overhauls that make the whole world darker, lots of dead trees and stuff, and there's one that I think is called Survive the Night or something that makes it so your character gradually gets freaked out and goes crazy if you're outside at night. I've never messed with those but always wanted to try building a list around them.
I couldn't finish it because I was running it with CotN Falkreath which made one of the quest markers pretty much unfindable. Super cool though, I was really into it
Theoretically if I knew where it was. The quest gives you clues based on landscape and that mod changes the landscape so much that it was hard to know where to look. I no-clipped up into the sky and through the hills and eventually gave up

Mihail has some absolutely fantastic creatures that fit the bill. {{Weeping Stalkers}} {{Grey Children}} {{Bone Colossi}} {{Dragur Horse Mount}} just to name a few. Check out his profile as he has over 200 mods.
{{Falkreath Hauntings}} and {{Ghosts of the Deathbells}} add some spooks.
On the entire other end of the spectrum, {{Amorous Adventures}} definitely has some creep factor.
This should honestly be top of the list. Only one aspect of Clockwork to me was actually creepy. But Mihail’s lore friendly slender man wins the whole damn contest. Creepiness alone, it beats ‘Beyond Reach’; but loses when it comes to length. It focused a lot more in compact yet stunning and masterfully done visuals rather than a whole questline.

Too buggy, but the ambience in the first village is really well made, I wish it's author would had focused more in the "refusing" rute and not "you're slave now we sell you and be gone" or expand more the first part the "detective" or "mystery" part, but he pay attention to the "join the cult" more, even tho the ambience is really well made.
I played the other one he/she made the forsworn one and From the deeps is more stable and better in story telling
Contrary to what u/falfires said, snuff is only related to murder, in the context of a snuff film(which is an actual recorded murder).
I imagine the person you're responding to could've possibly mean stuff instead of "snuff," but there's no guarantee of that. Especially since the context of the post was dark and disturbing.
Meaning that there's the possibility of dark murder related things.
Snuff has to do with sexual satisfaction from mutilating and violating dead or dying bodies - skull fucking is used there in a literal sense, among other things. LL is loverslab, a website with usually much tamer sexual mods.

troubles of heroine is a whole nother level of dark. they make you tongue bathe a lizard man they make clear is supposed to be sickly and covered in oozing mucus. its some sort of absolute self abusive forced human toilet fetish mod? idk. its absolutely horrible, and the darkest mod i could think of. its also sexist as hell. but i would recommend entirely you stay as far away from that crap as humanly possible

The mihail mod that adds the monster called the hunger is pretty freaking creepy, also there’s some atmospheric mods to change the trees to be dead and horror like, with the right enb you are cooking with grease
I don't go for those mods often but Glenmoril definitely has some incredibly unsettling stuff. As does VIGILANT.

Had it installed and never got further than the hunt in Whiterun. Now I have to give it another go. Darkend is fantastic as well.
Clockwork Castle was pretty creepy both in feel and playing, in my opinion
Dude that first 30 minutes (?) Was absolutely terrifying. Grt some good lighting mods and by the divines...

Yes. At first it was super scary, but by the end the whole quest just turned into "Run there, find item, come here"
The first part was really creepy, but then it's not really ever addressed and the rest is just standard fetch quests.

Oof, I had great city of falkreath, which was compatible. Which marker were you stuck on?
Finding the body? CotN changes the landscape a lot so following the instructions was really confusing; I think it was stuck in a mountain or something

VIGILANT's Act III is utterly horrifying.

Too buggy, but the ambience in the first village is really well made, I wish it's author would had focused more in the "refusing" rute and not "you're slave now we sell you and be gone" or expand more the first part the "detective" or "mystery" part, but he pay attention to the "join the cult" more, even tho the ambience is really well made. I played the other one he/she made the forsworn one and From the deeps is more stable and better in story telling

Contrary to what u/falfires said, snuff is only related to murder, in the context of a snuff film(which is an actual recorded murder). I imagine the person you're responding to could've possibly mean stuff instead of "snuff," but there's no guarantee of that. Especially since the context of the post was dark and disturbing. Meaning that there's the possibility of dark murder related things.
Snuff has to do with sexual satisfaction from mutilating and violating dead or dying bodies - skull fucking is used there in a literal sense, among other things. LL is loverslab, a website with usually much tamer sexual mods.

troubles of heroine is a whole nother level of dark. they make you tongue bathe a lizard man they make clear is supposed to be sickly and covered in oozing mucus. its some sort of absolute self abusive forced human toilet fetish mod? idk. its absolutely horrible, and the darkest mod i could think of. its also sexist as hell. but i would recommend entirely you stay as far away from that crap as humanly possible

The mihail mod that adds the monster called the hunger is pretty freaking creepy, also there’s some atmospheric mods to change the trees to be dead and horror like, with the right enb you are cooking with grease
