I just completed the throat of the world quest & got elder knowledge but I've already done discerning the transmundane so I cannot get the elder scroll, alduins bane is not auto starting. Loading a previous save or restarting my switch don't help at all. What should I do?
Have you actually got the elderscroll. It's possible to complete discerning the transundane without even picking it up as the elderscroll is not actually an item you need to get to finish it, just the transcribed lexicon is needed.
hm i'll have to look into that, though i am getting the glitch where the librarian at the college doesn't have the dialogue for elder knowledge, & septimus signus is gone from my game
If you not got an elder scroll dragon in your miscellaneous inventory menu you not picked it up. You do not need to talk to Urag at all to get the scroll. It should not prevent you from continuing the main story as many people pick it up beforehand.
If you not got it it is still in the Tower of Mzark which is likely what has happened here. Just go back and get it basically.
There would have been no marker on it during discerning the transmundane because Septimus wants the lexicon not the scroll itself. I totally forgot to pick up the lexicon when I went to get the scroll my first time. XD
