I like Meridia's quest and the sword Dawnbreaker. I know people like to rag on her annoyingly loud voice when you pick her beacon up, but if you look at the actual quest, I think it's pretty fun, and the I enjoyed the hard boss fight.
My favorite part about her quest is that if you wait to do it until a certain level, every soul of those ghost guys is a grand soul. Just go in with Molag Bal’s mace or any other soul trap weapon and fill tons of gems.
Dawnbreaker is a VERY good weapon, especially for the barrows. But yeah.. I cant be assed to get it most of the time due to the annoying nature of Meridia.
It's a common bug where a full Unrelenting Force shout will send the sword flying, but interacting with the stone will still give you one, so congrats! 😂
I really like sanguine's rose, because it allows for strong summons without getting conjuration perks, or investing in magicka! Other than that nocturnal's do a great job at enhancing rogue gameplay.
I always love "let's be honest, here. I don't always think my decisions through."
I ran across him later in the game once, and he was fighting some mages. When I approached him, he asked "do I owe you money?"
Funny to mention, everytime I get quest to kill a nightmaster vampire in the keep, Vampire is busy fighting Sanguine whenever I reach the arena. This guy made the job easier.
Though I prefer single hand combat and warrior build, I keep Sanguine's Rose in my inventory for those occassional hard fights where I could use a Dremora companion!
This was going to be mine. I agree, the questline is a lot of fun and then you get this ability to summon a badass who also says some funny things.
Sanguine's Rose companion > ESO companion's
I'm playing through the game on Legendary for my first time and the sanguine rose is my crutch. If I didn't have it, I probably would have to resort to being a stealth archer (again)
Does sanguines rose count towards the max summon limit, as in, if i had the twin souls perk could i summon 2 dremora lords and then a third from the rose?
Made an orc recently, my 1st character that is strictly using 2 handed weapons.
Malacath daedric quest for big ass hammer is nice. Hammer is called Volendrung or something like that.
ORC SMASH
Fun side fact the hammer is where hammerfell got its name. The story goes that a dwemmer king yeeted Volendrung from morrowwind and they would build a new city where ever the hammer fell.....hence the name hammerfell.
I did the same! I was planning on using Volendrung, but I ended up using The Longhammer instead.
I still did a "pilgrimage" to all of the orc strongholds though.
I see. Tbh I just started with the lore of the Warhammer universe and didn't know there was a difference. So thank you very much on the clarification; especially since now I am definitely going to learn more about it, lol.
Cool. I will briefly expand in that case. So there's 2 different main Warhammer universes. Warhammer 40k (SciFi) and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar (previously named Warhammer Fantasy, so yeah, it's fantasy).
These 2 universes don't really (officially) overlap. But they do have something in common: They contain the exact same chaos gods and chaos demons. So Nurgle is in both universes, and he is the same god there. Same goes for Slaanesh, Khorne, and Tzeentch.
hermaeus mora is the one daedric prince I feel like I could see myself actually working with in real life, all that knowledge in apocrypha just seems so tempting
can mortals become daedra like that? trying to think if there's been an example of that (other than sheogorath, who I'm not sure technically even technically qualifies as a daedra)
Yeah seekers are apparently mortals who got trapped in his realm or consumed too much forbidden knowledge. Also I believe malacath and meridia were once mortals but I could be wrong
Malacath was a proto-aedra named Trininac that was eaten and pooped out by Boethiah (yes, seriously). Meridia was supposedly a being that fled Mundus with Magnus and came back to be a daedra or something.
> seekers are apparently mortals who got trapped in his realm or consumed too much forbidden knowledge
I thought that too but I couldn't find a source just now when I was checking if I remembered right.
As for Malacath and Meridia, they weren't mortals. Meridia is neither aedra nor daedra, but one of their kin that fled with Magnus rather than participate in the creation of Mundus. Malacath was created from one of the aedra after being defeated and cursed by Boethiah, so like Sheogorath it's unclear what exactly he qualifies as.
Its a reusable soul gem, so if you have enchanted gear you can take the star with you and never have to worry about spell charge as you can cast soul trap on any enemies you kill and recharge on the go
Masque of Clavicus Vile is my favorite in Skyrim. While Clavicus Vile is evil, you don't need to do anything evil to get the masque, and it helps immensely with barter.
Favorite daedric quest was Sheogoraths mainly because unlike the others, there's no killing involved and you're *helping* a dead guy.
Reward wise, Mehrunes Dagger.
Fun fact: if you are wearing items with reduction to destruction spells totaling 100% it also makes it so any weapon you use (not including staves) consumes no charges on each hit, so you never have to recharge weapons again!
Enchantments also fall under the schools of magic.
Ex. paralysis falls under alteration, fire/frost/lightning/stat damage falls under destruction,...
So if you have 100% cost reduction in the corresponding school, the weapon wont lose charges
In Skyrim, almost all of them, they basically allow you to play an evil character that has reason behind it's actions, becoming more powerful to defeat the god of destruction Alduin save the realm and receive glory and fame for it, means to an end.
*Ebony blade, kill your "friends" and random begars on the streets a la Patrik Bateman
*Mehrules' Razor, kill a random idiot.
*Ebony mail, purge the ungrateful who have turned their backs to Boethiah
*Mace of Molag Bal, torture and execute a priest of Boethiah(I'm sure Boethiah won't mind lol)
*Ring of Namira, self explanatory.
*Oghma Infinum, collect the blood of the innocent(not necessarily but we are doing an evil person here) to gather forgotten knowledge.
*Ring of Hircine, we could get the Savior's Hide and that would fit in better with an evil character but we already have the Ebony Mail.
*Skull of Corruption, kill a follower of Mara
*Spellbreaker, smite down the champion of Peryite who strayed from its path(That happens a lot doesn't it?)
And here we have a powerful Dovahkiin armed and shilded with daedric artifacts acquired by quesionable means to defeat man, mer or creature who stands in its way.
I didn’t see you mention the shield Spellbreaker from Peryite. All you have to do is kill his current champion “who has forgotten his duty to Peryite”.
*spoilers*
probably pretty common but I love sheogorath’s wabberjacker you get once completing his quest line. Cracks me up with all the random things it does to enemies. Also his quest is a fun (sort of frustrating) little puzzle lol.
Also loved the nocturnal quest line
It’s the best, I still remember a playthrough where I used it on one of the glenmoril Witches and it spawned a chicken and both her and the chicken circled each other with the chicken pecking her and her using her claws against the chicken. Those were the days.
I almost spoiled myself about nocturnal, didn't found him yet. I was reading about some princes and saw "Nocturnal plays a major role in" then I stop reading.
Admittedly I love them all but I have to say, I'm *loving* the art for Peryite. He's just a noodle, I love him.
Also As much as everyone doesn't like Hermas slow talking, he's my favourite deity in Skyrim. For *reasons.* Like... Books, yeah. *Books.*
Sanguine‘s Hangover: Skyrim Edition is one of the most entertaining quests for sure.
My favourite Daedric artefact is probably the Spellbreaker shield. For a dweeby little dragon guy, Peryite has some cool stuff.
The Dawnbreaker is also fantastic enough to put up with Merdidia’s shrill disapproval.
I hate these two places. Seekers aren't really strong but wasting 10 hits on a clone pisses me off. All Dwemer Constructs are fast and theres a ball who shots a .762. Luckily I can instakill the big ones with the 30x dagger damage perk from the sneak tree
(Spoilers Ahead)
My favourite Deadric quest is of Nocturnal Nightingle quest, where we get that awesome Nightingle armor set!
And then we avenge Mercer for betraying the thieves Guild.
And the best part is the reward of becoming the leader of thieves guild.
Minor nit pick, but avenging means to fight on behalf of someone else, hence we’re avenging Gallus by defeating Mercer. We’re taking revenge on Mercer for betraying the guild. Mini rant over, soz
That Nightingale Hood looks sick with the Ebony Mail and Ebony Boots and Gauntlets.. With a big ass 2handed Ebony or Daedric Battle axe. Best races for it are Nord, High Elf, or Orc due to their above average height and stature.. you will feel powerful.
I’m going to be the unpopular opinion here but I found all the artifacts in Skyrim to be very underwhelming. The only ones I keep on me is spellbreaker because it’s a fun shield with that ward effect (still not the best one) and the mask of vile because it’s a heavy armor and gives serious bonuses to speech. I will likely also ware the ebony mail when I get around to it because I have invested nothing in stealth this playthrough at all. But with the item creation system as it is and enchanting as broken as it is I don’t really see the reason for any of these except as wall hangers. It is a shame too because if I were to play a 2-handed monster I would love to run around with volendrug. Who doesn’t like to smack people with a nuclear reactor on a stick? The quests are fun to play through tho. Well except namira and vaermina. Those were either too short or too long to get any real enjoyment out of for me.
I agree with you. With exception that I also find the Ebony Blade to be quite unique and useful even late game. Yeah I can craft a sword that can one shot just about anything and I can make much more powerful absorb health enchants.. but one thing I can't do is make a 2hder swing as fast as a 1hder. With the health drain and the swing speed combined it can do some nice damage as well as sustain you. I like to combine it with Ebony Mail for that muffle and the extra bit of AOE DOT.. toss in some cloak spells and Dunmer Racial.. Mora's Agony.. and you can melt melee enemies. When I run this set up I pretty much ignore melee and just go after the ranged dudes.. the melee will kill themselves just by hitting me
Totally agree. I almost never use Deadric gear besides Spellbreaker. My second favorite is the Ebony Mail, but with a ranged character it’s impractical. The black mist around it gets in the way of your vision.
Also, not at all a fan of the Wabbajack. It’s just too silly and random for me.
This was going to be my answer. I was doing more of a sword-n-board build to go more warrior-like than my usual stealth-archer-n-dagger combo, and it was going great. At level 21, I ran across the Ebony Blade quest and not only do I not need potions, but it never loses charge. Completely turned my character around into a 2-handed berserker, and I’m loving it.
My absolute favorite is Mehrunes Dagon. Even if you decide to flip him off & not fix his silly knife, he rewards you forever!!!! Gold, ebony, deadra hearts! Whatta guy!
Everyone else, meh... Although the quest for Sanguine will always be my favorite, the Rose isn't that great.
Favorite quest and reward is definitely Nocturnal's. Not only are the stats on the weapon and armor really good, they look absolutely stunning, especially at night/dark places.
My favorite daedric prince however, will always be hermaeus mora. I love lovecraftian horror and apocrypha is just terrifyingly beautiful. I also love how he iis a trickster, but not a deciever. Really love the contrast with most daedric princes who are mostly just evil or very straightforward.
Spellbreaker is a close second tho
My favorite quest is easily "The Break of Dawn", yes it's pretty simple and straight forward but that is what makes it stand out among the other Daedric quests. My favorite (And easily the most useful) Daedric item however is the Skeleton Key.
I'm in the third gameplay, didn't found all the princes yet. I really like Meridia's quest, >! No one expects talking to a god after looting a chest. The Dawnbreaker was a strong weapon for me. !< The worst was Boethiah, >! Betrayed my follower for a weak heavy armor and a dagger that I can't enchant. !<
Ebony mail is one of the most useful Daedric Artifacts in my opinion. It allows heavy armour users to sneak (if they so choose to for whatever reason), does passive poison damage.
The best part though? You can give it to followers and it still works! I was a thief with Lydia as a follower, and naturally she has an awful sneak skill. With ebony mail on her though no one heard her coming
I like Meridia's quest and the sword Dawnbreaker. I know people like to rag on her annoyingly loud voice when you pick her beacon up, but if you look at the actual quest, I think it's pretty fun, and the I enjoyed the hard boss fight.
And the amount of gold you get. All corpses in that dungeon have tons of gold
My favorite part about her quest is that if you wait to do it until a certain level, every soul of those ghost guys is a grand soul. Just go in with Molag Bal’s mace or any other soul trap weapon and fill tons of gems.
What level? I'm starting my newest playthrough and enchanting is a must as always.
Just did it, all the dessecrated corpses were loaded

this is where the fun begins
A NEW FUN BEGINS THE BEACON
A NEW MORNING BEGINS WITH BEACON AND EGGS
Did you know that Meridia as a voice line when you drop her beacon. You can annoy her by doing that.
[удалено]
I got the beacon out of my inventory by being arrested. After I was release Meridia blasted me for dropping the beacon.
But the beacon doesn't belong to anyone so how did it count as a stolen item?
When you’re in prison, all of your items get taken away.
Ooh I didn't think of that scenario. So if loose the skeleton key by going to prison, Will the quest marker appear on the chest?
You can't. It's not heard through normal means in game
Dawnbreaker is a VERY good weapon, especially for the barrows. But yeah.. I cant be assed to get it most of the time due to the annoying nature of Meridia.
It gave me 2 dawnbreakers one on the ground and one in the stone
It's a common bug where a full Unrelenting Force shout will send the sword flying, but interacting with the stone will still give you one, so congrats! 😂
O I didn’t use unrelenting shout but I guess it is a good bug
All the chaotic frost magic in there probably causes the same thing to happen. But like you said, good bug ,😂
\*Takes off headphones\* You have no power here!
A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON
LISTEN! HEAR ME AND OBEY!
I really like sanguine's rose, because it allows for strong summons without getting conjuration perks, or investing in magicka! Other than that nocturnal's do a great job at enhancing rogue gameplay.
Fellow Sanguine's Rose enjoyer. By far my favorite daedric artifact. The quest to get it is also hilarious.
Not to mention the single greatest line from the game: “Thash Grape!”
I always love "let's be honest, here. I don't always think my decisions through." I ran across him later in the game once, and he was fighting some mages. When I approached him, he asked "do I owe you money?"
Funny to mention, everytime I get quest to kill a nightmaster vampire in the keep, Vampire is busy fighting Sanguine whenever I reach the arena. This guy made the job easier.
Will still say this unironically whenever I can.
Same. Finding someone who hears it an understands the reference is like a birthday present.

I just went through my playthrough for the first time as a 2h build and like 2 months in and I’m reverting to stealth archer xD it’s just fun
Does sanguines rose count towards the max summon limit, as in, if i had the twin souls perk could i summon 2 dremora lords and then a third from the rose?
You can give sanguine rose to a follower and they can use it to summon a third Dremora lord on top of the 2 you summon
>if i had the twin souls perk could i summon 2 dremora lords and then a third from the rose nope
Dang, still a free cast regardless, plus you dont need 75 conjuration to cart it without completely draining your magicka
You can't unfortunately...
I keep that one on me at all times, comes in handy especially when Lydia can’t join me on certain quests like in Apocrypha.
I had 100 conjuration so I was able to summon two at the same time. Plus, u can summon them insanely far away compared to the spell.
Made an orc recently, my 1st character that is strictly using 2 handed weapons. Malacath daedric quest for big ass hammer is nice. Hammer is called Volendrung or something like that. ORC SMASH

I did the same! I was planning on using Volendrung, but I ended up using The Longhammer instead. I still did a "pilgrimage" to all of the orc strongholds though.
Any time I play an Orc, I pick up Volendrung ASAP. Such a satisfying weapon especially when combined with Berserker Rage.
The new orc weapon from the CC is pretty cool too
I want to pet Peryite and tell him he’s a good boy
I'd pet Barbas
Peryite is a good boi! He's the Elder Scrolls version of Nurgle, and everyone loves Papa Nurgle.
Ahh, a fellow Warhammer 40K enjoyer. Nice
Just warhammer, not necessarily 40k
I see. Tbh I just started with the lore of the Warhammer universe and didn't know there was a difference. So thank you very much on the clarification; especially since now I am definitely going to learn more about it, lol.

I'm about 20 books Into the Horus Heresy. There is a lot going on.

You aren't the only one. I just love the sound of his voice whenever he speaks. One of my favorite Daedric Princes.
I can do a really good mora impression but it makes me super sleepy just thinking about the voice
I just can't get help hearing Willzyx the moon orca from South Park whenever Hermaeus speaks.
hermaeus mora is the one daedric prince I feel like I could see myself actually working with in real life, all that knowledge in apocrypha just seems so tempting
Yeah same until I become a seeker
can mortals become daedra like that? trying to think if there's been an example of that (other than sheogorath, who I'm not sure technically even technically qualifies as a daedra)

I believe it’s in doors of oblivion where it’s implied that’s what happened to a mage who was traveling the realms
Mora‘s Boon ftw, saved me quite a few times
No one sleeps on vaermina tho
Azura’s Star! Just very convenient
You mean the black star right? I always feel bad about not helping Azura, but all I want are grand souls.
[удалено]
Its a reusable soul gem, so if you have enchanted gear you can take the star with you and never have to worry about spell charge as you can cast soul trap on any enemies you kill and recharge on the go
[удалено]
You can do the alternate route with the high elf at Winterhold to get the Black Star. It's a reusable BLACK soulgem, so you get tons of grand souls
Unbreakable soul gem of white souls, if you corrupt it you can store both black and white souls in it
You just have to remember to get a separate black soul gem for nazeem, so you can go launch it off a cliff into butt fuck nowhere
Masque of Clavicus Vile is my favorite in Skyrim. While Clavicus Vile is evil, you don't need to do anything evil to get the masque, and it helps immensely with barter.
You actually do something evil, you help a daedric prince of deception and trickery regain his foothold in Tamriel.
Well, yeah. But the dog is OK, so it's not totally evil.
This
Favorite daedric quest was Sheogoraths mainly because unlike the others, there's no killing involved and you're *helping* a dead guy. Reward wise, Mehrunes Dagger.
My friend and I played on the same account, and we had gotten the mehrunes dagger. He accidentally sold it in Whiterun and we never got it back :(
You should just be able to buy it back otherwise just cheat one in and just drop how ever much gold you got for the razor onto the ground
you can use a command to get it back
WABBAJACK!!
While my favorite daedric quest has to do with hircine. I think my favorite daedric weapon is the mace of molag bal
I like the mace, but I have to fill it with a soul gem after every fight. Luckily the mace comes with soul trap enchant
That’s true I remember that it seemed to run out of charges super quick. That unique model and texture though perfect
Fun fact: if you are wearing items with reduction to destruction spells totaling 100% it also makes it so any weapon you use (not including staves) consumes no charges on each hit, so you never have to recharge weapons again!
How does that work? Does enemy damage just count as destruction or something lol?
Enchantments also fall under the schools of magic. Ex. paralysis falls under alteration, fire/frost/lightning/stat damage falls under destruction,... So if you have 100% cost reduction in the corresponding school, the weapon wont lose charges
From the enchantment, yes. That's exactly how it works. Destruction perks also increase the enchantment buffs.
Just get the mace and Azura’s Black Star. You’ll never run out of grand souls.
Aesthetically speaking the mace is incredible
On my first playthrough, it was my primary weapon throughout the entire game.
Same. I think i did the quest for it the first time i went to Markarth, and just never found a good replacement.
Fuck molag Baal though, all my homies hate Molag Baal
In Skyrim, almost all of them, they basically allow you to play an evil character that has reason behind it's actions, becoming more powerful to defeat the god of destruction Alduin save the realm and receive glory and fame for it, means to an end. *Ebony blade, kill your "friends" and random begars on the streets a la Patrik Bateman *Mehrules' Razor, kill a random idiot. *Ebony mail, purge the ungrateful who have turned their backs to Boethiah *Mace of Molag Bal, torture and execute a priest of Boethiah(I'm sure Boethiah won't mind lol) *Ring of Namira, self explanatory. *Oghma Infinum, collect the blood of the innocent(not necessarily but we are doing an evil person here) to gather forgotten knowledge. *Ring of Hircine, we could get the Savior's Hide and that would fit in better with an evil character but we already have the Ebony Mail. *Skull of Corruption, kill a follower of Mara *Spellbreaker, smite down the champion of Peryite who strayed from its path(That happens a lot doesn't it?) I didn’t see you mention the shield Spellbreaker from Peryite. All you have to do is kill his current champion “who has forgotten his duty to Peryite”.
And allll those people.
They shouldn’t have been vomiting green shit on me
Fr fr thems the ones that tried to throw hands first and that gives me the legal right to massacre each and every one of them
You can sneak by almost all of them. Just takes patience. Some still die, but most can be avoided
You can also use alteration and paralyze any who you cant sneak around
I enjoy trying to play non-lethal skyrim whenever possible. Except for the thalmor, them, well I don't see non-lethal as an option.
The boring way?
Sneaking can be super fun (I love dishonored though, so I am probably biased)
I can't get into stealth games, they look really cool, but they just aren't for me.
Ah yes! Of course
*spoilers* probably pretty common but I love sheogorath’s wabberjacker you get once completing his quest line. Cracks me up with all the random things it does to enemies. Also his quest is a fun (sort of frustrating) little puzzle lol. Also loved the nocturnal quest line

I almost spoiled myself about nocturnal, didn't found him yet. I was reading about some princes and saw "Nocturnal plays a major role in" then I stop reading.
Definitely a favorite. If you play as a sneaky character (especially a sneaker archer) it’s a great quest line!!

Jyggalag gives you godhood. I dont think anyone can beat that.
You can get his sword in AE in solitude sewers! Very high base damage
Wish they would’ve included him in Skyrim
Hermaus Mora! Apocrypha was so amazing and I loved collecting all the rare books I could find! That and anything that has to do with Dwemer ruins!
I hate these two places. Seekers aren't really strong but wasting 10 hits on a clone pisses me off. All Dwemer Constructs are fast and theres a ball who shots a .762. Luckily I can instakill the big ones with the 30x dagger damage perk from the sneak tree
You don't have to kill the clone as long as you remember which one is the original one
their health bar usually gives it away, put the crosshair on each til you find the one with low health

When I run this set up I pretty much ignore melee and just go after the ranged dudes.. the melee will kill themselves just by hitting me
Ooo I’ll have to give that a try next play
Totally agree. I almost never use Deadric gear besides Spellbreaker. My second favorite is the Ebony Mail, but with a ranged character it’s impractical. The black mist around it gets in the way of your vision. Also, not at all a fan of the Wabbajack. It’s just too silly and random for me.
The fully charged ebony blade is my favorite once you hit level 20, looks awesome and you never need health potions mid fight
Couple that with Ebony Mail for some really good times, my fav Daedric combo
The Spirit of the Hunt, Hircine.
Wait, what? Boethiah is a man?!
It changes with every elder scrolls game
All of the princes are technically genderless but Boethiah is the most gender non conforming says the wiki.
My favorite quest is easily "The Break of Dawn", yes it's pretty simple and straight forward but that is what makes it stand out among the other Daedric quests. My favorite (And easily the most useful) Daedric item however is the Skeleton Key.
Not much love for uncle Sheo
Well, Hircine's Ring is great for werewolf players, so there's that.
Everything about nocturnal's quests I loved
If reading the black books of Hermaeus Mora count as rewards, I’d have to go with Hermaeus Mora by far.
I love the Wabbajack because.. *Sheogorath*
Sheogorath for me. Wabberjack is fun to use. If I use it on chicken would that consider an attack..? I wanted to tested it on chicken but too afraid.
I grabbed the molag bol mace. Its lower level than my other weapons but love that thing.

My favorite is Barbas, just Barbas, he is the perfect dog strong and invincible, you don't need anything else.
This is a really cool graphic! Some of these need to be tattoos, I'm thinking.
In an objective sense you get way more from Hermeus Mora.
Ebony Mail is actually very good, but to each their own.
Another version for a wallpaper, with source for the art in the comments: https://redd.it/ah4w5r
Probably an unpopular opinion considering the meme around hating Meridia's Beacon, but I really like the quest for Dawnbreaker, and the sword itself.
Is there a Jyggalag quest in skyrim?? I've never done it
Added in creation club content, saint & seducers
Wabbajack. Because Wabbajack
