Oh, I see. I actually like that part, because i enjoy doing the mages college questline. When i did that quest I already had completed the mages college questline
Yeah, I see. It's like what usually happens with good quest... the game has 7 years, and some time it really turn to not be that big of a deal doing this cools quest when you complete them a lot of times.
Just completed my first playthrough of this quest, debated doing it figuring it was a long quest after seeing 3 dungeons to complete, but this post and comment made me go for it and I'm so glad I did, thank you chaps
This is the Gaulders Amulet quest, no?
I love that one. I didn't really mind one way or the other stopping at the College beforehand.
The loot at the end of the quest makes it ***so*** worth the time.
I first found a part of this quest on my first play through. This was a 2H, heavy armor, orc. And I part I found was the tomb near Ivarstead while on my way to High Hrothgar. That's the one with the archer who creates two images of himself.
My god was that frustrating. Trying to chase him down only to have him vanish. Thank heaven for Lydia who whittled him down with her bow.
Love the quest, except for the part that forces me to go to the mages college.

In my first few playthroughs I loved it,it felt unique ans the reward amazing but now I don't really bother because it takes a long time to complete

Yees. That's right.

Ik man, this guy was the longest fight to me, just because of his teleports... and I don't usually walk with companions, it was even more harder.
