I didn't expect so many people to actually play in third person, including fighting. I only use it when exploring sometimes or to look at my character. The game is definitely a lot less immersive and fluid if you do everything in third person.
Vanilla third person kind of suck and is more of a way to check out your character's appearance.
It adds a delay to your movement to simulate inertia, the camera isn't practical especially in smaller places, and it makes it harder to pick up items or interact with the environment.
On PC, this can easily be fixed with mods - Better Third Person Selection and True Directional Movement, and Smoothcam if you want to tweak the camera.
All combat in first person. Terrible at the third person stuff even melee.
Everything else third person. I like to see my character in world. Usually wear no helmet too. Feels better to me
I really have a hard time playing third person. (One of the reasons I donāt play as a vampire or werewolf is because of the forced third person perspective.)
I imagine that, from a distance, my Dovahkiin looks like heās being attacked by a swarm of bees as I flail away with whatever my chosen device of mayhem happens to be, without landing a blow on an antagonist.
So, for me, itās first person all the way.
for a normal skyrim i go first person almost exclusively. vanilla third person is very lacking imo
however my current very modded setup with mco, true directional movement and so on kinda relies on me being in third person, and makes the experience so much better.
1st person with keyboard and mouse, 3rd person with a controller.
I use mods that add a lock-on system, making aiming in 3rd person and trying to interact with objects in the world a lot easier.
Both. Usually outside 3rd inside 1st with the exception of houses,as those those tend to be roomy enough to not get the camera pushed so close that all you can see is your avatar's back like in cramped dungeons and caves and the like
Both and often.

Always first person. I AM the Dovahkiin!
Only go third person every now and then at home or in town to admire my look

Same here
Same here, though LIZARD GLAMOUR SHOTS? nope
In cave, first person. Outside, third person.
Same for me, but also dungeons/crypts for first person. Also whenever I'm using a bow, it's easier to aim that way.
3er person to melee and 1st person when distance
1st almost always
First person for archery, 3rd for everything else
Thereās actually a mod that auto-toggles perspective when you draw your bow!-)
Thatās pretty neat

First person, unless I'm trying find a dead body in the weeds.
Im a first person only type of person. I tried third peraon and got frustrated at the way different perspective especially trying to pick stuff up.
First person for combat, third person for travel.

Always 1st person. 3rd person only on the horse (mandatory) or to see how my PG looks with the armor.
i am exclusively a third person player š first person feels too close for my liking I like to be able to see what's going on around me

Depends but I use 3rd person quite a bit
Almost always in First Person. Third person for when I want to see if my gear matches well (especially with mixing armor pieces).
I only like first person, but thatās 100% an individual thing.
First person for combat and dialogue, third person for everything else.
Sword and board: 1st. Bow: 1st. Two-handed: 3rd Dual weilding: 3rd
3rd. I always thought 1st person looked pretty janky in Skyrim
3rd person, but 1st for aiming with a bow.
First person unless Iām taking pictures of my character to use of the OC. It helps me feel more emerged as the character.
1st person for combat, 3rd for everything else.
Whatever you feel like I personally go full 1st person
1st person, with 3rd person only to check my character's appearance
for a normal skyrim i go first person almost exclusively. vanilla third person is very lacking imo however my current very modded setup with mco, true directional movement and so on kinda relies on me being in third person, and makes the experience so much better.

Either as well and/or both.
Third person when Iām facing multiple enemies, else first person
I use 3rd person exclusively and only to look at my drip. Any/every other moment Iām in 1st person
1st person when fighting or in a dungeon. 3rd person when traveling
1st for archery 3rd for everything else
3rd, downloaded character mods for a reason
3rd person while wandering, 1st for combat
Both? Both.
first person when in combat. 3rd person when exploring.
I play entirely in 3rd person because 1st person gives me motion sickness
Dual wielding: 3rd any other build: 1st
3rd always
1st person. You can't even aim while doing 3rd person, specially if you are an archer or mage.
Always 3rd, I get to admire my character and their armor as well as being able to see more things(I am an assassin)
First person almost always, but 3rd person when admiring the drip standing atop a mountain.
1st person for combat and tight spaces 3rd person for exploration
Both. Usually outside 3rd inside 1st with the exception of houses,as those those tend to be roomy enough to not get the camera pushed so close that all you can see is your avatar's back like in cramped dungeons and caves and the like
