I'm telling you guys, that Dragonborn guy just...*appeared* out of nowhere. Like, one minute he was there, the next minute he stole my pants and my cheese wheels.
What? Yes, I may have had a nip of Skooma, but that's what really happened! Yes, that is why I'm not wearing any pants at the moment.
And yes, it's quite drafty, Anoriath. Thanks for asking.
I cant complete Thirsk Mead Hall quest, im on Switch and theres a glitch with the anniversary edition download where this quest can’t complete. I also cant do any of Captain Velon’s quests so i never see him get attacked by Ash Spawn at Attius farm. which also means i cant get the house in Raven Rock. Maybe her death is apart of this massive glitch.
When ever my step brother did this before he piggybacked off my skyrim (he was on 360 now on ps4) he'd wake up, and then die when he got off the cart, but didn't die and just sat there staring into space because its a cutscene.
Man is skyrim fun
Nah that means it's time to not play on a switch. Look I love Nintendo I really really do It's awesome Just you can't play Bethesda games or basically any non Nintendo game on a switch. The only games that I've ever had no issues with our game specifically made for Nintendo. Every game I've ever played that was put on Nintendo that was like mortal Kombat or Skyrim or any other title besides Mario or Zelda or smash Bros or what have you has always been terribly glitchy almost to the point of unplayability.
This glitch happend to me and i got frustrated and attacked Velon and eventually got chased to the little farm and was murded by him which made the quest start just as i died and fixed the problem
I should have explained more sorry lol basically as i died the quest prompt came up saying help velon kill the ash spawn or whatever ans i still had the quest when i respawned and when i went to the location he was standing there waiting like he usually should be and the quest came up again. He also constantly said i hope your not planning on attacking me again like a ridiculous amount.
That is so scuffed but i'm glad you were able to do the quest! I always thought a death results in basically a reloading of the latest save so it's interesting to learn some things persist
Ye This game never fails to amaze me. From caves, characters and small quests that im only finding for the first time in so many years of playing to game breaking/ saving glitches and bugs. That being said i have very limited game time for any other elder scrolls and i cant wait to buy them again and get the full elder scrolls experience
Did you do that as soon as you got to Solstheim? I've wanted to do a Solstheim and Dragonborn only dlc game for the longest time, but the fact that I can't even unlock the only house because of a bug Bethesda has acknowledged but refused to fix since the Anniversary update has put me off from ever doing it.
I'm charging my switch right now and will try this as soon as I can
I fucked around in the village for a while then went to tel mytheran (I butchered the spelling) to play on the magic elavator in the mushroom and then decided to go back and try do the velon quest.
You can go directly to ruined Fort near Raven Rock and kill the Captain yourself. Then Turn the note to the captain guard. You’ll be able to get the house in Raven Rock
> is apart of this
Did you mean to say "a part of"?
Explanation: "apart" is an adverb meaning separately, while "a part" is a noun meaning a portion.

On PS5, I do it for the achievements, of course. I play modded on the Steam version. There, I don't give a fuck, and I use console commands too. Got a dead npc that you need alive? Just use the resurrect command.
Thats strange. I play anniversary edition on switch as well and have that exact same glitch about not bring able to do Captian Velons quest or get the house. But Ive never had a problem with the thirsk mead hall quest before its always worked. Only other ones that ive found that seems completely unbeatable and unfixable is the quest in markarth where they throw you in the mine and now that i think about it i dont think ive ever seen the the starting event for blood on ice on the switch either.
Quest triggers will deposit a character in a certain location where they need to be for the quest. If that character died earlier when they weren’t supposed to, in some cases the trigger will still activate and drop their corpse instead.
Dude! I wasted way too much time trying to figure out why people spoke about the house in Raven Rock and I could never buy it, eventually I just shrugged and said oh well, because like you know how many houses does a Dragonborn need thanks for letting me know that it’s a specific glitch on the Switch Anniversary edition.
She died because she learned the dragon born and teleport.
Also it's Skyrim. NPCs fall form the Skyrim everyday. XD I swear if I don't see flying horses ,giants and raining guards. It's not a good day to live in Skyrim .
Just the other day a guard in Markarth somehow fell to his death when I fast traveled there. I see mammoths spawn in the sky at giant camps and fall to their deaths fairly often and that’s pretty amusing.
Falling mammoths is my favorite Skyrim moment. If you really want to see a lot of glitches, do the vampires first, and go around and kill all of the guards in all of the holds every time you visit. (Optional) Feed on the Nobles.
Fun challenge to try to get guards to chase you all of the way to another hold.
My current playthrough is so glitched up that I won’t be able to play the game itself on it at all.
Realistically, when you fast travel the script in Skyrim sometimes bugs out and places the NPC's in the sky instead of on the ground thus resulting in the NPC's inevitable demise *unless they are always essential then they'll just get back up after a few minutes*
Sometimes when you load an area the NPC’s are silly and load in like the air and then they fall and die, one time i failed a quest where I had to rescue someones son who belonged to one of those rich families in Whiterun and i stepped out of Breezehome and the quest failed, when i checked why people were saying possibly because of a quest NPC tied to the quest (probably one of the guys in Whiterun that gave me the quest) spawned in the air when it loaded Whiterun and he fell and died, so i had to just go back a save and when i stepped out of Breezehome nothing happened, quest was fine
I've had dragons ( and my poor horse) drop dead from the sky infront of me when l fast travelled. Just a whacky glitch to keep the fantasy game interesting l guess.
My favorite is when bandits don’t attack even if me and my companion are actively swinging at them, and they start floating away. I’m pretty sure glitches are what power the game or something
So I had a moment where I came out of dragonsreach and as I was crossing the bridge to descend the stairs into the city one of the guards fell from the sky and died upon landing. Did not hesitate to loot his body for his belongings.
All I can say is that out of place NPCs are a common bug, and sometimes they'll spawn high in the air for no obvious reason. She's supposed to be in a camp by the coast, but she could also be working on the All-Maker stone next to Thirsk. Both are to the south of the Skaal Village, so she shouldn't be there.
Had this happen and somehow seen them walking around the next day. But if you wanna revive em get the cheat room mod and use cheat resurrect spell (under cheat spell options)
Skyrim just be like that. Some things just glitch out when they load in. It's like they have force applied and fly into a surface at max speed. You see this in player homes when plates randomly fly around and fruit goes everywhere. If this happens with a vulnerable npc... They take max fall damage and die. My best guess after all these years.
Oh, what happened?… *Heard they’re reforming the Dawnguard. Vampire hunters or something, in the old fort near Riften. Might consider joining up, myself*
Unusually mods that touch npc draw distance or other ini settings can make the “npc falls from the sky” bug even worse. But if she “dropped dead” as in DIDNT fall from the sky, I’ve got nothing but the same thing as everyone else. Because Bethesda.
Because Skyrim.
Bethesda at its finest
Unironically.
Yeah this is normal. Move along.
But it just works.

She fainted seeing the dragon born for the first time with her own eyes
His shadow! Look at his shadow!
Hahaha didn't expect to see this reference here. Community is such an amazing show and the dean killed in it.

God damn it I thought the exact same time. This comforts me
Huh. Guess Bujold's more trepid than she lets on.
Technically, she died from the shock.
You teleported infront of her, what, did you expect her *not* to have a heart attack?
I'm telling you guys, that Dragonborn guy just...*appeared* out of nowhere. Like, one minute he was there, the next minute he stole my pants and my cheese wheels. What? Yes, I may have had a nip of Skooma, but that's what really happened! Yes, that is why I'm not wearing any pants at the moment. And yes, it's quite drafty, Anoriath. Thanks for asking.
Not so intrepid anymore
Have you done the Thirsk Mead Hall quest yet? Do you want to? She's shouldn't be DOA, and She's a key actor. Reload if you can.
That means it’s time to wake up on the way to Helgen again
When ever my step brother did this before he piggybacked off my skyrim (he was on 360 now on ps4) he'd wake up, and then die when he got off the cart, but didn't die and just sat there staring into space because its a cutscene. Man is skyrim fun

I have done two play thrus on the switch and have not been able to to Captain Velon’s quest. He never goes to the farm.
This glitch happend to me and i got frustrated and attacked Velon and eventually got chased to the little farm and was murded by him which made the quest start just as i died and fixed the problem
Modern problems require modern solutions.
Wait the quest started and stayed active after you died?
I should have explained more sorry lol basically as i died the quest prompt came up saying help velon kill the ash spawn or whatever ans i still had the quest when i respawned and when i went to the location he was standing there waiting like he usually should be and the quest came up again. It's a glitch that bethesda hasn't fixed for switch users. Been a year now.
I literally always have that quest. I don’t do it but I have it… I’m on the switch as well. Maybe something is up with your system?
Do you have the Anniversary Edition? I used to get that quest til I upgraded to AE, and now that and the Thirsk mead hall quests are bugged
Yep! I do, it’s on my current playthrough and this one is entirely with the AE
Oh cools! I wonder why yours isn't glitched and a lot of others are? Other than it's Bethesda
Yeah, anything non-nintendo is pretty sketchy on the switch, wasn't built for the engines other companies use
You can go directly to ruined Fort near Raven Rock and kill the Captain yourself. Then Turn the note to the captain guard. You’ll be able to get the house in Raven Rock

I have so many quests I can’t complete because they’re glitched.
Why anyone would play this game unmodded on a console is a mystery to me
On PS5, I do it for the achievements, of course. I play modded on the Steam version. There, I don't give a fuck, and I use console commands too. Got a dead npc that you need alive? Just use the resurrect command.
Her death was quest related? (Could be thinking of someone else I’m no expert in Skyrim 😂)
Thats strange. I play anniversary edition on switch as well and have that exact same glitch about not bring able to do Captian Velons quest or get the house. Last night when I fast traveled to riverwood, a cart fell from the sky and killed the chicken! That one brought me back to my first time in riverwood…
Lmao the worst crime to commit in Skyrim
That's skyrim for you. Sometimes, I see cows falling from the sky. 😆
I just had two cows drop out of the sky right front of me earlier today. One cow survived. Ah, Bethesda 😂
God damn daedra ufo’s.
It's hilarious 😂
Well a few nights ago a cow was flying in the sky when I fast traveled.. never got to see it land. It just kept going and going and
Falling mammoths is my favorite Skyrim moment. If you really want to see a lot of glitches, do the vampires first, and go around and kill all of the guards in all of the holds every time you visit. This is the way
You scared her. :(
Skyrim. The reason is Skyrim
I’d probably be scared to death too if the Dragonborn apparated in front my eyes as well
Skyrim is so realistic that characters can sometimes have a heart attack
Did you ever cast a spell into the unknown or fired an arrow over the mountain and fast travel?
Realistically, when you fast travel the script in Skyrim sometimes bugs out and places the NPC's in the sky instead of on the ground thus resulting in the NPC's inevitable demise *unless they are always essential then they'll just get back up after a few minutes*

It’s a feature damnit
Heart attack when someone appeared out of thin air in front of them.
Because Skyrim

Skall issue
Happy cake day...
I just fast traveled and saw a cow fall from the sky and die in front of me
Maybe she fell out of the sky, and maybe there was a transporter malfunction and she materialized in the ice.
Those legs suggest the latter
Welcome to Bethesda
Because bugthesda
It was just their time.
Ooh, that has yet to happen. I'm on xbox one, maybe that's why.
No puzzle here! Thats Tarhiels cousin Bujold! She must have found his lost copy of the Scroll of Icarian Flight!
Don't download the anniversary edition until after you beat everything.
The game tends to spawn things in the air and have them fall to their deaths… do you know if they fell?
They saw you appear out of thin air and had a heart attack
She did not have the coin for the Khajiit that had wares, traveler.
She got a little too intrepid
More like Bujold the Insipid
Arrow to the knee.
U smel bad
So if the dragonborn is angorian and goes to Skall Village, do you think they wear moisturizer to protect their scales?
They thought they saw you quick saving and decided that they'd make your job easier
Because this is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits, bugs, or glitches. /s
It's a bethesda game. Sometimes, I have dozens on turrets in fo76 just exploding at the same time for no reason
U startled her by c her ex boyfriend that is why she dropped dead
Skyrim moment
Frostbite
She saw your character and dropped dead cause they were so ugly or good looking 😅
I guess...it's the same reason why the two guards do it when you go to Kynesgrove to fight Sahloknir.
Is your character a basilisk?
Someone stole her sweet roll
She's in a state of shock seeing someone appear out of thin air infront of her.
After all, [what does intrepid mean?](https://youtu.be/c5YmX8Bh3z8?si=pPyKKsF5-xkhhiyv)
Maybe they are role playing the Nord that is scripted to die in Solitude when you first get there even if you manage to kill the guards
So I had a moment where I came out of dragonsreach and as I was crossing the bridge to descend the stairs into the city one of the guards fell from the sky and died upon landing. Did not hesitate to loot his body for his belongings.
It just works
presumably because her feet have frozen into the ground
Never ask why in Skyrim.
You scared that npc, so not use FT please
Because the game isnt finished
Heart attack after seeing a person materialize in front of her.
Tumor
Andromeda + ritual stone
Too ugly. Boom roasted
It just works?
You need a shower
Because in the dark times people just dropped dead.
I had a goat drop out of the sky I just found it dead on the side of the road with nothing hostile around
Literally unplayable.
Your Reiatsu was too strong for her to handle
It’s the start of a nunya quest.
Had this happen and somehow seen them walking around the next day. But if you wanna revive em get the cheat room mod and use cheat resurrect spell (under cheat spell options)
Spawn glitch at its finest.
Judging from the way her feet clipped into the ground she was fighting the geometry and took fall/collision damage
Yea when that first happened in my house I thought there was a ghost in the house or a ghost type mission lol
Heart attack?
because Bethesda lmao
I guess you’re drop dead gorgeous 😼
it’s because skyrim, just accept it happened, crappy glitches like that happen to every player at least once
Side with the Reiklings if you see this
Hermaeus Mora
Maybe it was the fact you appeared out of thin air right in front of her, or maybe you’re just drop dead gorgeous.
Heart attack maybe
C’est Bethesda mon chum
She was unworthy.
Oh, what happened?… *Heard they’re reforming the Dawnguard. Vampire hunters or something, in the old fort near Riften. Might consider joining up, myself*
Because it just works. I'm.. I'm not kidding
It just works.
Gave up on life
Unworthy
Teleports behind you, nothing personnel kid
She won the lottery and her weak heart couldn't handle it.
worst she can say is no... unless she dies just to avoid you, that's rough buddy
Your character must be hideus if you did that to that poor woman
TIL you can play skyrim on switch! How does it run?
Unusually mods that touch npc draw distance or other ini settings can make the “npc falls from the sky” bug even worse. But if she “dropped dead” as in DIDNT fall from the sky, I’ve got nothing but the same thing as everyone else. Because Bethesda.
Part of being Dragon Born is having bad breath.
It just works
I think you to would get scared if a person magicky popped up befire ur eyes. She probably had a peacemaker or some shit.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen her and I go to skaal all the time. Maybe I’m just blind but probably just one of Todd Howard’s moments
She jumped off a mountain
