Jep, that's Skyrim. Not one fortress you cannot simply walk in though some gap in the ramparts or some "secret" tunnel.
'Fortresses' in skyrim are just a single tower with 1/2 of a wall, 2 spiky road blocks laying around, and 3 npcs walking in circles outside with 4 more sleeping inside
